The Justicar Diamond is a synthetic gem created from combining carbon with kyberite, ranite, and a hyperbaride in a specialized machine that imitates the pressure of the core of a star over 100 thousand years. This allows the diamond to possess the intricate lattice and sturdiness of a natural kyber. The process of creating the diamonds causes them to turn purple, which cannot be altered. Also, these diamonds do not have the Force bonding capability that natural kybers possess. They are designed to be able to be quickly mass produced for weapons and tools of the Justicars of the Confederacy. They are meant as tools, not to have any emotional attachment like the Jedi have with their kybers.
The tiny diamond can be added to a number of different weapons, from lightsabers to blasters to plasma blades and even electrostaffs. This gives the energy produced a purple color. While most weapons that aren't lithsabers or their variants don't need these diamonds to function, they do provide a nice uniform color, something an elite group like the Justicars would appreciate.
