- Craft produced Storage, Ammunition and Blaster Pouches.
- Stormtrooper Armor: While heavily modified for use by the Imperial Remnant, Junktrooper Armor is, at its core, Stormtrooper Armor, coming with the various resistances that Stormtrooper Armor comes with normally.
- Durasteel Components: Any piece of Junktrooper Armor that cannot be manufactured with Plastoid can instead be constructed out of Durasteel, due to the abundance of the material on Mahporeem.
- Loose Regulations: Junktrooper Armor can be mixed and matched as needed due to the loosening of Imperial Uniform Regulations on Mahporeem. This allows each various Junktrooper to choose the best or most important pieces of armor for the given job.
- Additional equipment: Many Junktroopers are often seen wearing bandoliers and storage pouches, increasing the amount of equipment they can carry.
- Stormtrooper Armor: Being a variant of Stormtrooper Armor, Junktrooper Armor also comes with the various weaknesses normally seen in this type of armor.
- Heavy Components: At the same size, Durasteel is heavier than Plastoid, making any Durasteel components of the armor heavier than their Plastoid ones. This can make the armor far heavier than what their wearer might be used to, hence why many Junktroopers wear so-called "mismatched" armor sets.
- Mismatched Armor: As a result of the weight issue and looser Imperial Regulations, most Junktroopers are not nearly as well protected as standard Stormtroopers, due to missing pieces of their armor leaving noticeable gaps in their defenses.
- Not Designed for Aliens: Like most forms of Stormtrooper Armor, Junktrooper Armor is designed solely for the use of humans.
The collapse of the Galactic Empire was devastating for Mahporeem, which relied heavily on imported goods and materials to maintain its standing army. Stormtrooper Armor in particular became difficult for Mahporeem to acquire, due to its isolated position and the collapse of many Imperial supply chains.
Mahporeem was then forced to scavenge its various planetary junkyards for a reliable source of armor components. It soon became apparent that the abundant amount of vehicles and starships on the planet could be melted down and crafted into Stormtrooper Armor.
Thus, Mahporeem began manufacturing its own version of Stormtrooper Armor, dubbed "Junktrooper Armor" Junktrooper Armor is most often a mixture of lighter but less protective Plastoid parts and heavier but sturdier Durasteel parts. The extra weight and bulk of Durasteel does limit the amount of armor that can be worn by a single trooper, often causing each Junktrooper to prioritize certain elements and parts of their armor over others. Mahporeem also produces a variety of accessories for their armor, including ammunition pouches and bandoliers.
Though nowhere near cutting edge technology, Junktrooper Armor still gets the job done, and continues to be manufactured on Mahporeem due to the lack of available resources and prioritization of materials for more advanced and specialized armor, such as Salvage Trooper Armor.
