PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Lightsaber.
  • Size: Very Small.
  • Weight: Very Light.
SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Inexpensive (for a lightsaber): As far as lightsabers go, the Junk Saber is relatively inexpensive to produce, thanks to the use of pre existing parts and various different materials in its construction
  • Lightsaber: Like all lightsabers, the Junk Saber is a dangerous and deadly weapon, capable of cutting through most materials with ease
  • Deflected: The Junk Saber is fully capable of deflecting blaster bolts that come into contact with the weapon's plasma blade
  • ZAP: Mahporeenian Junk Sabers inflict electrical damage as well as standard plasma damage, making them especially useful for shorting out powered armor systems and droids
  • Underwater: Thanks to its Bifurcating Cyclical-Ignition Pulse, Junk Sabers can operate under water without risk of being damaged
WEAKNESSES
  • Your mileage may vary: Though they are constructed from pre existing parts, the individual performance of each Junk Saber varies depending on who built them
  • Unreliable: Though they are exceptionally powerful, Junk Sabers can experience power fluctuations from time to time, especially in the middle of combat
  • Learning curve: Junk Sabers, like all lightsabers, are incredibly difficult to use without the guidance of the Force or force sensitivity
  • Ugly: Though it is said that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder", most would agree that Junk Sabers are objectively ugly looking creations
  • Preconception: Anyone who sees a Junk Saber, or more broadly speaking a lightsaber, may have preconceived notions about those wielding them
DESCRIPTION

As members of the Brotherhood fled from the consequences of Laphisto's failed coup attempt of the Diarchy, many of them were forced to flee without their possessions, including their lightsabers and other weapons. To ensure that they would be able to fulfill their duties as members of the Junkyard Knights of Mahporeem, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant decided to create a new lightsaber-esque weapon for them to use: the Junk Saber.

As is keeping in Mahporeenian tradition, the Junk Saber is designed to be constructed as inexpensively and easily as possible, making use of various pre existing components and materials to keep total costs as low as possible. Despite this, the Junk Saber is just as deadly and lethal as any other lightsaber, capable of cutting through most materials and armor with ease.

Though each Junk Saber is tailor made for the person or alien using it, they all share some design similarities, using the same type of components in their construction. Each Junk Saber can use one of four different grips: Trapped Grips, Pressure Grips, Force-activated Grips or Locking Activator Grips, and can equip either a Beam Gem Lens or a Vibration Lens. All Junk Sabers, regardless of design or construction, utilize Jolt Cell Mark I's, Bifurcating Cyclical-Ignition Pulses and either an orange, yellow or brown blade color.

These components and design features allow the Junk Saber to deliver especially power strikes and blows while being particularly effective against organic units, powered armor systems and droids. Unfortunately, this comes at a cost, with Junk Sabers being prone to experiencing power fluctuations and unstable blade geometry from time to time.
