Where Stardust Gathers
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+ Force Powers: Juniper is very strong in the Force, able to manifest powers she sometimes doesn't know she has. Her Dathomiri heritage gives her untapped magickal potential, though untrained. She experiences wild flashes of sorcery, often instinctive and unpredictable.
+ Charisma: With her height, her striking lack of hair, and her presence, she stands out in every room. She leans into this with confidence, able to sway, intimidate, or charm her way through situations as easily as she can fight through them.
+ Survivor's Instinct: Raised between harsh traditions, Juniper adapts quickly. Whether hunting marks, bartering in the underworld, or fighting to stay alive, she can shift between brute practicality and uncanny intuition.
+ Psychometry: From her Kiffar bloodline, she carries the rare ability to sense echoes of the past through touch. This makes her an exceptional tracker and investigator, though it comes with risks.
___________________________
- Wild Magick: Her Force powers often manifest without her control. Protective bursts, sudden illusions, or destructive energy can save her life, but just as often backfire, drain her, or spiral into chaos.
- Exhaustion: The flares of uncontrolled power leave her physically and mentally drained. Nosebleeds, blackouts, trembling hands, overuse can render her vulnerable at the worst times.
- Distrust and Alienation: Jedi reject her darkness, Sith dismiss her lack of control, and even allies hesitate around her volatility. She struggles to belong fully anywhere.
- Haunted by Visions: Psychometry cuts both ways. Relics of mass death or violent crimes overwhelm her senses, leaving her shaken or incapacitated. Sometimes the visions strike unbidden.
- Reckless Pride: Juniper thrives on being different. She can be overconfident, showy, or dismissive of "lesser" foes, underestimating enemies and walking into traps.
BIOGRAPHY:
Juniper was born on Kiffu and raised by her father, who spoke of her mother only in fragments. She was described as distant, powerful, and dangerous, but he never gave Juniper the whole truth. What Juniper never knew was that her mother had been a Dathomiri witch of great power, a woman who concealed her nature from everyone. She disappeared back into the shadows of Dathomir and left her daughter carrying a legacy no one would explain.
Her father gave her a hard upbringing, one that taught her resilience but not peace. The Kiffar gift of psychometry haunted her early years, pulling violent echoes from the objects she touched and flooding her with visions she did not understand. She learned to fight with her hands, blades, and blasters before she ever had a name for the Force. When she came of age, she left Kiffu in search of a place to belong. She found it in the wrong company, under the eye of a Dark Jedi who saw her as a tool. He taught her just enough to wield her strength but never revealed its origin, keeping her dependent on him.
For years she lived as his enforcer and assassin, doing the work he could not risk himself. Yet the power within her never stayed contained. It grew restless, slipping free in moments of fury and fear. In the end, it consumed her master when she turned on him, killing him in a surge of wild energy. His death gave her freedom, but the truth of her bloodline died with him.
Now Juniper survives on her own terms. She has made her way as a mercenary, bounty hunter, and spacer, and she relies more on skill and instinct than on the Force. Blades and blasters are her first weapons, and her lightsaber stays buried in her pack, drawn only when no other option remains. She prefers the work of the underworld to the mysticism of Jedi or Sith, moving from one job to the next with a confidence that hides the uncertainty she carries inside.
Even so, the storm follows her. The power flickers in her veins, lashing out when she is cornered or near death. To the galaxy she looks like a dangerous Dark Jedi, but in truth she is still a woman caught between legacies. She is a wanderer who does not know the full truth of her mother, a mercenary who hides her unease behind sharp words and sharper steel, and a witch who has yet to learn what her fire truly means.
