PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Jud Renrok cuts an imposing figure wherever he goes. Standing 6'2" with a broad-shouldered, athletic build, the Pantoran wears the weathered confidence of a man who has spent more nights beneath alien skies than under a proper roof. His pale blue skin contrasts sharply with piercing amber eyes and neatly kept white hair, while intricate gold facial markings trace across his brow, cheeks, and chin.
His uniform is unmistakably that of a Frontier Warden: a heavy brown duster worn over reinforced armor, practical gloves, and sturdy boots that have crossed deserts, forests, and frozen mountain passes alike. Every scrape in the leather and every repair stitched into the coat tells the story of another settlement protected or another outlaw brought to justice. At his hip rests both a service blaster and a lightsaber, a combination uncommon enough to earn curious glances from strangers. Jud carries himself with quiet confidence, rarely needing to announce who he is. The badge on his chest speaks loudly enough.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Jud Renrok believes civilization exists because ordinary people choose to stand against chaos. To him, the frontier is not lawless—it is simply too far away for someone else to solve its problems. That is why Wardens exist.
He carries himself much like the old sheriffs of frontier legends: quiet, observant, and never in a hurry to prove himself. He'll listen to both sides of a dispute, but once he decides where justice lies, his mind is nearly impossible to change. Jud doesn't enjoy violence, but he accepts it as an unavoidable part of protecting innocent people. If someone draws a weapon on a peaceful settler, threatens a child, or preys upon those unable to defend themselves, he believes they've already made their choice.
Jud has little patience for bullies, corrupt officials, or criminals who mistake kindness for weakness. His version of mercy is giving someone every opportunity to walk away before the fight starts. After that, he finishes the confrontation quickly and without apology.
Despite his stern reputation, Jud has a surprisingly approachable side around honest folk. He enjoys sharing stories around campfires, helping repair damaged equipment, or lending a hand to struggling homesteaders. He never asks for recognition. A hot meal, a place to tie up his speeder, and the knowledge that people can sleep easier after he leaves are reward enough.
His connection to the Force is something he keeps largely private. He does not consider himself a Jedi and has never sought to become one. Instead, he views the Force as another tool entrusted to him—a gift meant to protect others rather than elevate himself.
STRENGTHS
- Frontier Lawman: Jud excels at tracking fugitives, investigating crimes, reading people, and maintaining order in isolated settlements where backup may be days away.
- Disciplined Combatant: Trained with both blaster and lightsaber, Jud comfortably transitions between ranged and close-quarters combat, adapting to whatever a situation demands.
- Moderately Force Sensitive: His connection to the Light Side grants him heightened awareness, improved reflexes, Force Sense, telekinetic ability, and modest healing aptitude. While far from a Jedi Master, the Force regularly tips difficult situations in his favor.
- Unshakable Resolve: Intimidation rarely works against Jud. Once he commits to protecting someone or seeing a job through, very little can convince him to quit.
- Natural Leader: Though not especially charismatic, people instinctively trust Jud's judgment during moments of crisis because he projects competence and reliability.
WEAKNESSES
- Stubborn as Bedrock: Once Jud believes he has found the right course of action, convincing him otherwise can be extraordinarily difficult.
- Carries Every Burden: Jud struggles to leave problems for someone else. He frequently takes on responsibilities beyond his duty, leading to exhaustion and burnout.
- Frontier First: He often disregards political concerns or bureaucratic directives if they conflict with what he believes is immediately right for the people on the ground.
- Limited Formal Force Training: Although naturally gifted, Jud never completed extensive Jedi instruction. Against experienced Force users, his abilities are noticeably less refined.
- Slow to Trust: Years chasing smugglers, raiders, and con artists have left Jud skeptical of strangers until they prove themselves through actions rather than words.
HISTORY
Jud Renrok was born on Raxus, growing up alongside a nation still discovering what it wanted to become. While others saw gleaming senate halls and political ambition, Jud's attention was always drawn toward the distant settlements that rarely appeared in speeches but always seemed to need help.
His Force sensitivity manifested during childhood, subtle enough that it was never considered extraordinary. He could sense danger before it arrived, find people who were lost, and occasionally move objects without understanding how. Several Jedi encouraged formal training, but Jud ultimately chose a different path. He respected the Jedi Order, yet his heart belonged to the frontier rather than ancient temples and galactic philosophy.
Instead, he joined the newly established Frontier Wardens.
Stonewatch Hold refined his natural instincts into practical skills. He learned investigation, survival, wilderness tracking, piloting, marksmanship, and law enforcement while also receiving enough instruction from Force-sensitive Wardens to responsibly develop his abilities. Rather than emphasizing grand heroics, the Wardens taught that justice often looked like delivering medicine before winter, settling a dispute over water rights, or riding three days to answer a distress beacon no one else could reach.
Over the years, Jud built a reputation that spread quietly across frontier space. Criminals learned that if Renrok accepted a warrant, he'd eventually find them. Settlers learned that if Jud promised he'd return with supplies or reinforcements, he always would. Fellow Wardens respected him for never asking anyone to shoulder a burden he wouldn't carry himself.
Today, Jud continues to patrol the outer frontier worlds aboard his Longwatch-class patrol ship, answering distress calls wherever they arise. He has little interest in promotion or politics. The frontier will always have another lonely outpost, another frightened family, or another outlaw convinced no one is coming.
Jud Renrok intends to prove them wrong.
