SPECIAL FEATURES
- A built-in vocabulator/annunciator provides clear, audible speech when worn.
- A compact closed-circuit rebreather system, similar to that used for the A99 Aquata, ensures up to 2 hours of breathable air when no other source is readily available.
- A filtration system in the mask blocks harmful particles, chemicals, smoke, toxins, and poisons and provides clean, breathable air even in otherwise caustic and dangerous environments.
- Filters dust particles, smoke, harmful chemicals, airborne toxins, and poisonous gases from the atmosphere to provide breathable air.
- In the event where no breathable air can be found, a push-button activation of a compact closed-circuit rebreather – based on the A99 Aquata units used by the Jedi – which provides up to two (2) hours’ breathable air when submerged, in space, or when in noxious environments.
- Houses a miniaturized vocabulator to grant Joury the ability to speak clearly and audibly while donning the mask.

Inspired by the breath masks worn by the Kel Dor species and, in particular, the one worn by Jedi Master Plo Koon centuries ago taken from old holo-images, Joury's breath mask works according to these same principles but in reverse and with some additional modifications. First, where Kel Dor masks serve to block oxygen in favor of gases more appropriate to their species' needs, this mask filters out particles, chemicals, toxins, and poisonous gases to provide breathable oxygenated air. Additionally, it can store and provide up to two (2) hours' of breathable air in reserve before a new source must be found or Joury will quickly be faced with symptoms of oxygen deprivation, leading to death. This closed-circuit rebreather system is similar to the Jedi's A99 Aquata rebreathers, making the entire apparatus relatively lightweight and easy to use. Held in place using a small strap to firmly hold the device and ensure a good, tight fit over the nose and mouth, the mask offers no other benefits or protections beyond a tiny vocabulator, enabling her to speak clearly and audibly while wearing it.
