STRENGTHS

Fighter:
A descendant of the Kolkpravis, Joraam and his siblings were raised how to fight in the traditional weapons of his people. Lig blades. Shoni spears. Hand-to-hand combat. He is fierce in a scrap.

Marksman: Like many young boys on Kalee, Joraam was often taken out with his father, brothers, and other males of his tribe to hunt the fierce predators of their world. Beasts such as the Karabac and Mumuu. As such, Joraam learned how to be a precise shot with a rifle.

WEAKNESSES

Vioent:
If any comparison could be made, Joraam is the most akin to one of Gerrera's Partisans. He believes in violent, aggressive strikes against the enemy. With as minimal collateral as possible, but they are acceptable when they occur. This might put him at odds with more diplomatic members of the Rebellion.

Bug-Hater: Because of centuries old rivalry with the neighboring Yam'rii with the Kaleesh, Joraam has prejudice towards more obviously insectoid species. He'll tolerate them...to a certain degree.

HISTORY

Joraam zan Symmesh is a Kaleesh warrior born on Kalee, raised in a clan that traced its alleged bloodline back to Xivhkalrainik, remembered in clan-chant as Xalek. Like most of his people, Joraam’s childhood was shaped by hardship, ritual, and the expectation of violence in defense of one’s own. He earned his mask, learned the old ways alongside modern weapons, and eventually took his place in his clan’s tribal militia—not as a legend or chieftain, but as a reliable, disciplined fighter trusted to hold the line.

When the Diarchy conquered Kalee, Joraam was in his early forties—experienced enough to recognize occupation disguised as “peace.” He fought in the early resistance, striking hard and vanishing into terrain the invaders never truly understood. But when it became clear that reprisals would fall on families rather than fighters, Joraam made a final, brutal choice. He staged his own death, allowing the Diarchy to believe him gone so his family could live unmarked by his actions. In doing so, he abandoned not just his home, but his name.

He resurfaced beyond Kalee as a ghost with purpose, eventually offering his blade to the Wild Space Rebellion. Joraam now fights to unmake the kind of occupation that stole his world from him, carrying the quiet hope that one day the galaxy might be free enough for him to return home not as a weapon, but as a man his family can safely recognize.
