APPEARANCE:
Standing just under six feet, much to his chagrin, Jon Lekka is a rugged and roughly built man. Not entirely slender, yet not beefy, he has an athletic build. His lightly tanned face is covered in a beard that is the same shade of dirty black that his hair is. His hair is held up in a ponytail, both for the sake of ease and for fashion. Shunning clothes that aren't practical, he wears rugged and dirty clothes, with the years of wear and tear obvious upon the stained and creased fabrics of his wardrobe.
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Mnemonist - Years of reading books on just about every historical era, every artifact, and every rumor about every temple has paid off for Jon. He has taught himself to be a skilled mnemonist, he can recall facts from most books that he has read, and generally has a strong memory.
Friends in Low Places - Unlike most of his Jedi peers, Jon has particularly strong ties to the lower echelons of galactic society. Gained through years of travelling throughout the galaxy has gained Jon at least a friend or two on most major hubs of the galaxy (Coruscant, Corellia, etc.).
Fit - By no means sedentary, Jon has maintained a strong physique, despite his skinny frame. He works out consistently, and while not at his peak, is still very fit and can endure long-term exercise.
Determined - Jon has an unshakable determination, something that keeps him going when most others would putter out and falter. However, this also means that he is will also work to the point of futility, where nothing is accomplished, he just refuses to give up. He has yet to learn that it's acceptable to give up, but his refusal to do so is also one of his strongest traits.
Cocky - Jon certainly thinks that he can do no wrong at times. Overly confident, he has stumbled into situations too vast for him to understand only to get his ass kicked and to get thoroughly squashed by whomever he was fighting/interacting wiht. If only his ego allowed him to not go rushing into situations with an over-confident veneer…
Civilization sucks - Jon can’t stand cities, a trait he inherited from growing up on a Corellian megalopolis. He feels clustered, uncomfortable, and repulsed by cities. His attunement to the Force isn’t as strong in cities as it is in more open and natural areas, and he tries to spend as little time on them as possible.
BIOGRAPHY:
Imagine a beautiful apartment, built on one of the soaring towers of Corellia. Now imagine a beautiful family, with a young son, his face handsome and sculpted. That wasn’t Jon Lekka. Jon was born to a middle-class family of low-level bureaucrats and government officials. Raised within the confines of metallic apartments, no expectations, and soy-based food, Jon always wished for more. Often during his young childhood, he would sneak out and gaze up at the dockyards of Corellia, the vast intertwining structures enthralling him. Starships speeding off to distant planets, exploring and charting new ways through the galaxy. That was the life for Jon, not the one of corporate monitoring and governmental collection. However, his parents were blind to his dreams. Forcing him into academies, classes, programs, and private tutors, Jon was taught practically everything about bureaucracy. By the time he was an adolescent, he was on track to be appointed to the prestigious office of Tax Collector of Subunit-B12. However alluring that future was, Jon had other priorities, namely, getting away from the monotony and boredom of Corellian life. At age 17, he collected his belongings, and left his old life behind, refusing to even give a goodbye to the people who raised him.
It’s weird how the force works. He chose the freighter he was planning to stow away upon at random. He wore the clothes he did at random. He chose the freighter going to a random destination, at a random time, at a random hangar. However, despite all the randomness that went into his decision, the fact that there was a Jedi knight upon his starship had to have been a coincidence, right? No way he could’ve purposefully chosen a starship with a Jedi. Jon’s first encounter with the Jedi Randar Hrawna was a tumultuous one. In a futile attempt to avoid interacting with the Jedi, Jon hid upon a shipping container full of scrap metal. Much to his dismay, he learned that when you pressed the red button on a Cyroplex Shipping Container, you empty the container onto the floor. Now, he didn’t mean to do so, it just kinda happened. It was random. Drawing the attention of the Jedi, Jon was expecting prison, he expected a return to the life he left. What he didn’t expect was for the Jedi to offer him a spot as a Padawan within the Silver Jedi Order.
The Jedi was everything Jon could ask for and more. He was given a chance to expand his knowledge, travel, explore, and work with his Master to truly experience the galaxy at large in a meaningful manner. Excelling in lightsaber combat, Jon soon crafted his own lightsaber with his master. But although he thought of lightsabers as magnificent, what truly interested in and captured Jon's interest was exploration and archaeology. He was obsessed with the concept of finding and unearthing something that had been lost for centuries, and bringing it back into society as a relic. He was obsessed with learning about the past, with figuring out how the galaxy was hundreds of years ago, and how the world worked before he was born. It was almost disturbing, how much he was into history and archaeology. After being pent up in an apartment complex on Corellia, Jon couldn't spend enough time exploring and going on digs. He spent the next 7 years going on missions with his master, where he gained invaluable combat experience, and learned what it meant to be a Jedi. Understanding the ideas behind the Order made it mean so much more to him, and he is a stalwart defender of it's ideals, even though he may not be the best example of a Jedi. Attaining his knighthood at age 28, Jon has spent many years roaming the galaxy, digging, writing, and carousing. With the Order moving to Kashyyyk, Jon has returned to the Jedi after four years of traveling, ready to embark on a next chapter in his journey as a Jedi.
JEDI SKILLS:
LIGHTSABER SKILLS
Form V - Jon’s primary form of lightsaber combat, he is advanced in his quest towards mastery of this Form. Favoring it’s combination of defensive moves and counter-attacks, he practices and utilizes this form chiefly against other force-sensitive opponents.
Form VI - The perfect form to fall back on in case all else fails, Jon is adequate in this form. Often using this against opponents who are not wielding a lightsaber, this is his second-favorite form.
FORCE SKILLS
Force Jump - Jon utilizes this skill to increase his mobility, something especially useful for an explorer and “scholar” like him
Mind Trick - Convincing belligerent farmers to let you borrow their landspeeder is always something a Jedi needs to know.
Telekinetics - Generally, Jon is adept at force-powered telekinetics, as it is an everyday skill for all force users.
Life Detection - Jon uses this for when he feels threatened, at risk of an ambush, or when searching for a particular being or beast.
Psychometry - When working as an archaeologist for the SJO, this is a skill that is essential.
EQUIPMENT
Jedi Robes - Jon’s forest green robes are indicative of his Consular status. However, the once-pristine cloth that was granted to him upon becoming a Consular is now worn down, ripped in a few places, and faded to a dull green. His robes come with all the equipment that is typical with a Jedi (IE rebreather, grappling hook, etcs.)
Lightsaber - Jon wields an ornamented lightsaber, with a generic crystal powering it’s emerald green blade. This lightsaber has no special abilities whatsoever and is completely a typical and generic lightsaber.
