  • GENERAL INFORMATION
    • Unit Name: John's Gang ]
    • Affiliation: [ John Jewl ]
    • Classification: [ Infantry ]
    • Description: [ John's Gang are a mismatch of murderers, mercenaries and lunatics. Drawn from every corner of the galaxy, and lacking any real sense of uniform or cohesion. From old veterans from long-forgotten wars to freshly faced punks looking to make a name for themselves. They were originally formed as a small bounty hunter group that John Jewl led, they gained a reputation for scalping their victim as proof of their kill to their contractors. Soon they realized as long as the scalp roughly matched the species, a contractor couldn't tell the difference between a criminal scalp and an innocent one. They devolved into a gang of roving killers, slowly losing their humanity piece by piece in the search for easy profit. But soon even this fell to the wayside of pursuing blood. Lost in their revelry of destruction and death. Soon authorities tracked them down and pushed them into the Maw. They found themselves allying with the Brotherhood of the Maw, their philosophy suiting the destructive nature of the gang just fine.

    • COMBAT INFORMATION: The combination of Unit Size and Availability below is the indicator of how numerous your unit is. Stormtroopers for instance would be considered Large/Common, while Rogue Squadron would be a Small/Unique unit. Majority Force User Units are prohibited from being Common or Large. The stronger and more specialized your unit is (FU or NFU), the smaller and less common it should be.
      • Unit Size: [ Medium]
      • Unit Availability: [ Common]
      • Unit Experience: Recruit
      • Equipment: [ An assortment of Slugthrowers, Blasters and Vibroblades, there is no standardized equipment. Orbak mounts. ]
      • Combat Function: [John's gang fight like hyenas or some other opportunistic predator. There is little thought of complex tactics and squad manoeuvring, operating more like a horde of locusts that tears apart anything they can. Barely acting above low-cunning, often going head first into any mayhem to collect their scalp trophies. Though while slaves to their bloodlust, they aren't incapable of strategic thought. They will set up ambushes, create diversions, and other undermining tactics. But during a battle, they behave like savages. They prefer close to medium-range combat, firing from a distance before closing in for a kill. While often employing Orbak mounts in battle or between fights as a mode of transport, firing from horseback or the more daring try lancing. They are brutal not only to others but to their own. Frequently killing those too wounded to fight, and bouts of infighting are not uncommon. They are held together by the same desire for destruction, and any sense of loyalty and comradery to each other has been wilted away. ]
      • Force Abilities (Force User Units Only): [No.]
    • Strengths:
    • Vicious: The gang is anything if not vicious, violent and capable of extreme feats of depravity and cruelty.
Diverse: The gang has members from all walks of life and all species. The gang doesn't care what you are or what you did, as long as you can kill you're good enough.
Terrifying: Against the poorly trained or lowly motivated, the gang's sheer presence and infamy can prove useful. Nobody wants to get scalped.

    • Weaknesses:
    • Inconsistent: Varying between wartorn veterans and newbies that can barely use a blaster, gang members often arent' equal in training or equipment.
    • Infighting: The gang frequently has bouts of infighting, out of petty grudges, bids for leadership or better gear, or simply for its own sake.
    • Savagery over sense: The gang will sometimes forgo what might appear common sense or even basic self-preservation to indulge in acts of cruelty toward their fellow sentient,

    • HISTORICAL INFORMATION
    • [ Formed by John Jewl as a band of bounty hunters to go after criminals that invested the less protected parts of the galaxy. Originally their goal was noble, protecting small settlements and planets from roving bands of pirates and brigands. However, sometimes their employers would refuse to pay or pay less citing a
    • lack of evidence, so they began the habit of taking scalps, and with this bloody prize in their hand, few would deny them their credits. With further success their numbers swelled, growing in strength.

Soon the priority became profit, and it became quickly apparent it was far easier to take the scalp of someone who didn't or couldn't fight back. They began attacking anyone, and as long as the scalp roughly looked like the intended target, employers would pay just the same. However, the authorities caught on to what they were doing and they were cast out and driven further into the outerrim until they reached the Maw. They found themselves aligning with the Brotherhood of The Maw, their dogma and ideals suiting the gang just fine.
