Description: With the cogs of the Techno Union's war machine getting up to full speed, there was a need for ready defenses should an enemy slip behind our lines. Meant to be the last line of spatial defense before an enemy fleet can make ground fall, these orbital defense platforms are designed to work in concert with other platforms and allied naval forces.
The aiming for the two massive MACs takes place by utilizing the maneuvering thrusters placed throughout the station, as they aren't independently maneuverable. They are able to be angled slightly on the horizontal axis, relative to the station, so as to ensure that both bores are firing on the same ship. Due to this design feature, the stations have a minimum firing radius of 1000 meters and a maximum firing radius of 15000 meters.
The stations are not meant to be independently viable. While they have sufficient defenses to ward off most fighter assaults, they are unable to independently fend off naval assaults.
Development Thread: Probably needed
Intent: To create a station to provide planetary defenses
Who Can Use This: Techno Union and select Allies
