"I am the punishment of God... If you had not committed great sins, God would not have sent a punishment like me upon you."
-Genghis Khan
[Theme]

NAME: Jocko Horn
FACTION: Sons of Mandalore
RANK:
MandaloreC-4.jpg
Be`Mando`ade Cabur (Protector of Mandalorians)
SPECIES: Human
AGE: Middle Aged
SEX: Male
HEIGHT: 6'8
WEIGHT: 280 lbs.
EYES: Grey
HAIR: Brown-Gray
SKIN: White
FORCE SENSITIVE: Force Dead

Strengths:

+ The Way:
Raised as a Mandalorian Warrior, Jocko is highly skilled in all forms of combat.
+ Hunter: A skilled hunter and tracker.
+ Stoic: Jocko has mastered his self-control, rarely showing outward emotion or weakness.
+ Bruiser: Jocko is significantly larger and stronger than your average human. He is sturdily built and tough.

Neutrals:

= Dark Avenger:
Obsessed with avenging his people and culture. Throws all caution to the wind in pursuit of his revenge.
= Uncontrolled Rage: Jocko despises all Sith. He refuses to treat or negotiate with them, demanding their destruction. He will assault them on sight.
= Traditionalist: A firm believer in the ways and laws of The Mandalorians. Unlikely to make reforms or adopt new ideas, though his conviction gives him strength.
= Force Dead: Jocko had his connection to The Force completely severed by Sith experiments, meaning that all Force Powers are forfeit to him, and that oblivion awaits him in death. In exchange, he is undetectable by Force users, and immune to many Force powers.

Weaknesses:

- Dishonored:
Jocko was captured in battle, the highest shame for a Mandalorian. Though this was out of his control and he did not surrender, the shame of this failure eats at him.
- Elitist: Jocko was raised to the highest standards of Mandalorian discipline. He has little patience for anyone who does not adhere to those standards, especially if they claim the title of Mandalorian. This has earned him many rivals, even amongst his own people.
- Dead Man Walking: Jocko has fully committed to avenging the humiliation of his people at the hands of The Sith. He has accepted the inevitability of his death in this pursuit and is reckless to a fault.
- Survivor's Guilt: Jocko's entire family was killed during the Conquest of Mandalore by The Sith Empire. Though Jocko fought honorably, he was incapacitated and rendered unconscious. During that time, his wife and children were killed in battle. Jocko struggles immensely with the loss of his family and even more so with his failure to protect them. Though he fought honorably, he feels that he failed in his duty as a father and Mandalorian.

APPEARANCE: Jocko is an imposing figure. Standing at 6'8 and towering over most humans, he is also strongly built. His bones are thick and dense, giving him a powerful appearance. Years of strength and martial arts training have left him with a powerful physique. His face is angular and masculine. His brow and jawline are wide and strong, almost cartoonishly so. He stands tall and strong, walking with confidence and dominance. His gaze is piercing and intimidating. His demeanor is serious and stoic, rarely smiling, laughing or crying. As a Mandalorian, Jocko was raised to reject strong shows of emotion, leaving a near-permanent scowl on his face. Unapproachable and stoic, Jocko deals in respect and honor rather than warmth or good humor.

BIOGRAPHY SYNOPSIS: Jocko was born and raised on Concordia as a member of the Mandalorian Clan Horn. He was raised from birth to be a warrior, learning hand to hand combat, marksmanship, swordsmanship, tactics, strategy and survival skills. He was educated in "The Way" and raised to live by the Laws of The Mandalorians, valuing honor, bravery, ruthlessness and self-sufficiency.

His father was a mercenary, and from the age of manhood, Jocko accompanied him on missions. Over the years, Jocko gained large amounts of combat experience, eventually branching out on his own. He worked as a mercenary for many years, eventually saving enough money to purchase a stake of land on his native Concordia. There, he met a woman and raised a family, working as a rancher and watchman in the Mandalore Sector.

His wife was a fellow Mandalorian and together they had two sons and a daughter, all of whom were raised to follow The Way. Jocko's father was eventually killed on a mission by a Jedi, whom Jocko, alongside his eldest son, hunted down and killed. During the First Sith Invasion of Mandalore, Jocko was rendered unconscious in battle. During this time, his family was slaughtered by Sith attackers and his land was razed. Jocko was injured severely. His wife and all three of his children died honorably in the battle. Jocko survived due to being knocked unconscious rather than killed. He awoke in a Sith Labor Camp and has toiled there since, plotting his revenge. The time has come...

Chapter One: The Way
"Discipline equals freedom."

The world tumbled around Jocko as he was lifted into the air. His stomach sank as he was driven back towards the ground. He slammed into the dusty ground as the air was forced from his lungs. A primal panic overtook him as he gasped for breath, his diaphragm screaming for oxygen. The other boy slammed down into his chest, driving his head into Jocko's face, causing intense discomfort. Jocko pressed his forearm into the other boy's neck, desperately fighting to create space and recover his guard. The boy slammed through Jocko's defense, crushing his arm back into him and wrapping his arms around Jocko's neck and shoulder. The boy quickly switched sides, locking in a nasty head-and-arm choke, causing Jocko's vision to close in, unconsciousness rapidly approaching. Jocko tapped the boy just in time, signaling his submission.

“You must sprawl faster. Your stance is off, you should only need to sprawl with your front leg. Do it again.” The boy stood up and grabbed his opponent in a collar tie. They pushed into each other, fighting for grips and dominance. The boys wrestled for a takedown, with the other boy shooting himself at Jocko's near leg. Jocko threw his leg back, breaking the grip and dropping his full body weight onto his opponent. The other boy was trapped under his chest as he snaked his arm around his neck, pulling him forward to break down his balance and spinning to his back. Jocko slipped his legs around his opponent's abdomen, slipping his arm around his neck and squeezing. The boy tapped Jocko’s arm and was released.

“Good.” Jocko’s father said, his voice stoic and dry. “Go and get yourselves cleaned up. Tomorrow we hunt. What did you learn today?”

“Sprawl with the lead leg?” Jocko said, not sure of the correct answer. “No. You learned how to listen, to take direction and adjust your technique. Swallow your pride and learn from your betters. This is the way.” The man spoke with a serious, martial tone.

“This is the way.” The boys repeated.

Chapter Two: The Hunt
"Aim small, miss small."

The icy air stung Jocko's lungs as he lay prone on the frozen earth, flanked by his father. They had covered themselves in brush, which had now grown heavy with snow and ice. The only sign of their presence was the vapor of their warm breaths in the frigid air. Winters in the northern hemisphere of Concordia were harsh and cold, causing all life to struggle for sustenance. Many of the fauna had gone into hibernation, and those who remained struggled to survive. This included the Mandalorian clansmen whom Jocko called kin. Hunting was an essential part of life in this harsh place. The food storage of Clan Horn had begun to empty as this particularly harsh winter ground on, forcing the clan to undertake a great hunt.

The two Mandalorians, father and son, lay still and calm as they patiently waited for their quarry.
