Races:
Diet:
Culture: Jinkaol live in schools ranging from five to fifteen Jinkaol. They hunt by surrounding there prey and quickly closing in to viciously shred them to pieces. This strategy works well in water, but on land the Jinkaol have a much harder time hunting. They can’t survive on land for very long so they usually hunt animals that live in or near the water. When on land the Jinkaol with slowly creep up on a sleeping animal and bite the back of it’s neck, severing its spine. They attract mates by swimming in elaborate patterns similar to a dance.
Technology level: None
General behavior: Somewhat of a pack mentality because they live in schools. Attract mates by swimming in elaborate patterns similar to a dance.
History: The Jinkaol is a naturally occuring species on Deleritas. It evolved to survive for short periods on land after a toxic algae bloom began appearing in certain waters and killed much of it’s usual prey. The Jinkaol also developed large mouths and teeth to help in swallowing some of the larger creatures that live on land. This fearsome fish will attempt to eat anything that dares venture into the waters it inhabits, not matter how large. It’s tough scales protect it from some of the animals large enough to eat it. Humans have recently discovered that when scaled, filleted, and cooked these fish are quite tasty and have begun fishing for them with large poles and nets.
Notable Player-Characters: None
Intent: To create a fearsome fish to inhabit the rivers and lakes of Deleritas.
