Faction Jensaarai & Judges (OPA)

Seaports were rough places, especially down by the docks. Freighter crews coming in from months out at sea and longshoreman with shaky financial prospects and a tendency for enjoying the coarser things in life. Alcohol, drugs, company-for-hire, and all the like. Gambling. The Jensaarai tried to keep an eye on things, but the dockyards of Yumfla were too big for the Jensaarai to watch, leaving it mostly to local law enforcement.

But Kida had been out and about for a while now, tracking some crime rings that were selling local Susefvi artisan work. Which meant they had connections on the planet. And she needed backup in the investigation, so she'd reached out to the OPA Judges. They were going to meet her here- in this temporary apartment leasing building to serve as their base. She had word that the crime rings were bringing in a shipment of glitterstim to sell on the black market, and potentially a group of youths they were likely going to try and exploit on the waterfront.

The drugs were meh. Kida didn't care for much either way about them. But slavery and trafficking? That set her blood seething. And while she knew the danger of strong emotions like those, she couldn't help it. A dip into an oil spill left her feeling cleaner. So now she watched and waited, a pair of binocs resting on the window ledge as she scoped out the length of docks ahead of her through the blinds. Her Judge contacts would be arriving soon and then shortly after, the ship, docking at the pier across the street. Officially, its cargo was agricultural products to be prepped for deployment to orbital mines and refineries. Likely it had that. But the tricky part was going to be finding the illicit cargo without any of the kids getting hurt.

In the distance, a hulking shape appeared on the dark horizon, with only a few flashing lights indicating the vessel's approach on the water. "This is Kida," she said into the comm. "I see the target vessel."
