CONTENTS

  • History of the Mandragora
  • Mandragora Traditions
  • Information on the Pacts
  • Details on the Marks and their powers
  • Basics of Dathomiri Magic

Strengths:
  • Native Powers: The spirits native to Mandragora translate the book, and each person can read the book in his or her native tongue.
  • First Rites: The first time a user makes contact with the Grimoire, they experience something that is simplest to describe as a hallucination or a vision.

Weaknesses:
  • Escapism: Upon entering the vision, the figure loses control of their body, which will remain as it was, simply touching the grimoire’s pages until the vision ends.
  • Just Paper: While the book may be valuable to the tradition, in the end, it is just paper. It can be destroyed like anything else.
DESCRIPTION

In a time long past, the Jemla bo Tosarta was written. Who the original authors were has been lost to the sands of time. Some say that it came from far-off Dathomir, and some splinter cult had brought the book to Ryloth in times forgot. Whatever the source, what is known is that it vanished from history until much later, as the four hundred year darkness began to lift. Slavers returned to Ryloth, and as the chains of oppression returned to the people, some of them found the tome. Its cover read, to them, Jemla bo Tosarta. The Book of Power. These were the first Mandragora. With this new power, they freed themselves, and the mantra of the Mandragora was born.

Magik is the power to defend what is Mine

They existed mostly in whispers. In secret. In the quiet shadows of history, as empires rose and fell around them. At first, they were a myth. A legend told by terrified survivors and brushed off as paranoia by their superiors. It was only when Ryloth was freed once more that they emerged, offering the budding new Confederacy their knowledge for their protection. And so, the Mandragora rise, first for Ryloth, and then for all the Southern Systems.
