PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

A Hutt of slightly above average height and slightly below average weight, more muscular and less grandiose than more sedentary members of his kind. He tends to dress rather eclectically, styling himself in shirts, vests, hats, and accessories in a variety of colors, patterns, and styles.

INVENTORY

Personal Starship: To The Fullest (GX1 Short Hauler)

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Jekko is gregarious and full of life, never found without a smile and a drink in his hand. He believes in living life to the fullest, whether that be partying hard on Nar Shaddaa or diving into ancient tombs on Yavin 4. Joy, adventure, and roguish shenanigans are his bread and butter. After the destruction of his kadijic and the death of his family, the young Hutt realized that nothing was permanent. No matter how much wealth or power someone had, there was always a chance to lose it all. So, rather than hoard it, he’d enjoy it. What was the point of having credits if you never got to spend them?

Jekko also believes that everyone has the right to live as he does. He wins loyalty not by fear or violence, but by promising everyone a seat at the table. He finds the normal Hutt practices to be boring, inefficient, and a total vibe killer. He wants the Nikto across from him to be laughing and drunk on the best booze in town, not contemplating how he’s being screwed over or how to stab Jekko in the back later on. Jekko wants to experience all that the galaxy has to offer, and he wants to do it with good friends at his side.

That being said, Jekko is no fool. He knows the truth of the galaxy, perhaps better than most, and he knows how to navigate it. Behind his gregarious nature and wine-soaked antics, he is a charismatic and clever leader and galactic wayfarer, more than capable of earning as many credits as he spends and getting out of as much trouble as he gets in.

STRENGTHS

Charismatic - Jekko is a natural leader with an impressive way with words. He draws out the best in the people who follow him, and makes his enemies see the light with a tongue as silver as a Naboo cruiser.

Nose for Opportunity - One doesn’t live a life as grandiose as Jekko’s without the ability to make a quick credit. Whether it be cargo hauling, treasure hunting, gambling, or a myriad of other side hustles, Jekko makes it clear that while he might not live like your average Hutt, he certainly hasn’t lost his species’ penchant for “business”.

WEAKNESSES

Clumsy - Jekko might be more active than your average Hutt, but this has done nothing for his kind’s inherent lack of gracefulness. Some might say he is even more of a klutz than most. Whether its a blaster pistol or a wine glass, everyone ducks when the gregarious Jekko starts swinging.

Reckless - Jekko is not stupid, but his personal code of living means than nothing the galaxy has to offer, no matter how fascinating, mysterious, or dangerous, is off the table. For better or for worse, Jekko lives every day like he’s dying.

HISTORY

Jekko was born into a minor kadijic in Hutt Space, and for the majority of his childhood was raised like any other Huttlet. His family wasn’t big, but they were still Hutts, and they had more than enough wealth and power to live comfortably. Jekko’s plan was the plan of most of his kind: join the family business, grow fat off the suckers, scum, and sufferers of the galaxy, and live to a ripe old age of several centuries. Things changed, however, when a rival decided that his family had grown a little too large for their comfort.

Jekko was the only survivor of the massacre. Overnight, the rest of his family, as well as their entire little kingdom, was destroyed. Notified by a slave at a secret party he wasn’t supposed to be at, Jekko was horrified. Fleeing into the Outer Rim, he struggled to make sense of what had happened. Hutts believed in permanence, in growing so large that nothing could touch them. In a matter of hours, that idea had been shredded in Jekko’s mind. Nothing was permanent, nothing was assured, nothing was for certain. In the great expanse of the galaxy, there was always a bigger fish.

Rather than retreat into himself or seek revenge, Jekko decided that if the galaxy was such an uncertain place, he would embrace uncertainty. He would get credits any way he could, and he would spend them any way he could think of. He would not sit in a palace thinking about what he could build or have with his fortunes; he would go out and get it. He would seek adventure and experience, he would seek joy and ecstasy; he would seek everything the galaxy could offer.

And when his clock finally got punched, he would have no regrets.
