Jedi or Sith...?

So I've been thinking of joining a major force using faction... even though something in me burns my muse before I even get a chance to RP as a Sith, I'm willing to give it a shot, but there is always the possibility of being a Jedi first...

So what do I join, cause I'm an energy vampire, and those as a Jedi sound strange to me, but I actually have tried RPing as a Jedi once or twice before my muse burned up.

The Silver Jedi allows all those who feel they may not be "up to standard" as a Republic Jedi to stand beside them. But times are changing, and the Silvers and Republic Jedi Order are slowly building bridges.

I suggest if you do make a sith, don't be as volatile as the others. Be smart, have cunning. Don't just use people like disposable pawns. So many sith are stereotypical "let's be evil." Types.

There's been a lot of Sith lately, lots of Acolytes. It's harder to play a good guy, honestly. It's far easier, far more cliché to play a bad guy. Being a good guy in a realistic way means fighting down your primal nature to lash out and hurt those who hurt you. It's a lot harder to hold back the punch than throw it.

Dark Side, considering it involves draining the vitality from others to empower yourself.

Yeah, figured that at first, but had to ask since I'm an energy vampire and that's literally the only ability they truly need to feed on others. Plus I have never seen an energy vampire that was Light sided, let alone a Jedi of that race.

Energy Vampires seem to generally be more Dark Side oriented anyways.

Come to think of it... I have seen a dark side oriented race be neutral quite a few times, but not so many energy vampires are purely neutral

It really depends on your vision of your character. Each side whether the light or the dark has a spectrum of styles.

My character is a zealot type darksider. And a rather nasty one too. But you could play a more cunning one, a brutal tactical one, a creepy one. Same for the light. If you want to play fast and loose with the Lightside and be flexible in your character's path - the Silver Jedi or Levantine are a nice fit. If you want a paladin or a guardian Jedi Order of the Republic is a good match.

And don't let what people say about the Sith or the Darkside get to you. Anyone can be a grumpy evil guy, but playing one that is fun and respected is hard. The greatest challenge of playing a darksider is getting people to respect your evilness.

Just because you haven't seen an energy vampire as a Jedi doesn't mean you can't! In fact I see great potential for RPing an energy vampire as a Jedi.....think Brad Pitts character in Interview with a Vampire. Guilt over feeding mixed with the need to feed to survive.....has all the makings of a good story!
