Strengths and Weaknesses
+ Strong-Willed
Kazuhira has an exceptionally powerful will. This should not be confused with the immature and short-sighted behavior known as stubbornness. He has the grit and determination that utterly disallows giving up, or succumbing to negative influence. This refusal to give up extends to people and ideas and isn't exclusive to tasks and success.
+ Diplomatic
Words are one of Kazuhira's strong suits. His analytical temperament coupled with his adept skill with Force Empathy and overall mental stamina makes for an incredibly useful and effective combination for diplomacy.
+/- Conscientious
Kazuhira is dedicated to his work and duty as a Jedi, always wishing to do well with his duties, whether it is combat, relief, diplomacy, or otherwise. He takes his obligations very seriously and expects others to do the same. Often becoming irate or otherwise vexed if a fellow Jedi doesn't appear to be giving it their all or taking things seriously.
+/- Emphatic Maverick
Kazuhira has a strong conviction for the light side of the force, though his ways of serving it could be called unorthodox, avant-garde, or even innovative, depending on who you ask. He often does things against the will of the council, or even committing small breaches of the Jedi code in the name of the greater good. He doesn't believe that any code can encapsulate the true will of the force and that the greater good must be served regardless of what the traditional school of light side philosophy might have to say against it.
- Allure Of The Dark
The pull of the dark side is an internal struggle that Kazuhira is constantly fighting. His strength of will has allowed him to hold fast against its temptation for many years, but the pull remains to this day, waiting to be coaxed forward by emotion and conflict.
- Apathetic Facade
Due to his constant struggle with the allure of the dark side of the force, Kazuhira has adopted a facade of peace to cope with his struggle. This facade tends to come off as apathy rather than peace, often making him seem cold or distant when his intention is actually kindness and compassion.
- Soft Spot
As a native of Csilla, Kazuhira had to run from home to avoid the consequences of his force sensitivity. He experienced hardship and poverty as a refugee. Thus, he has a soft spot for those in similar situations and will go out of his way to help them, sometimes over others who also need help. Kazuhira feels an oddly strong kinship and compassion to those who are removed from their homes or otherwise misunderstood.
- Dug In
Kazuhira holds a strong belief in his unorthodox methods, refusing to see things from another perspective in most cases. He adamantly rejects many facets of traditional Jedi philosophy and refuses to consider them in a vast majority of situations.
- Wear and Tear
Age is beginning to take its toll on Kazhuira's body. Many years of injuries and physical activity have taken their toll on his joints and muscles. He isn't the young gun he used to be, and can have trouble keeping up with many opponents of similar skill who are younger or in better shape. -
Lightsaber Skills and TrainingAs a Jedi Master, Kazuhira is trained and skilled in all seven basic forms of lightsaber combat. He heavily favors Form VII: Juyo, and implements many techniques from Form IV: Ataru. Due to his age, Kazuhira has had to move away from many of the more demanding acrobatic maneuvers of these forms. While he is still capable of performing them, they wear greatly on his stamina with prolonged use.
Kazuhira has tailored his fighting style to compensate for his age and physical weaknesses. To compensate for the divergence from acrobatic maneuvers, he instead emphasizes the strong aggressive strikes of Juyo and Ataru, with the intent to wear down or break the opponent's guard. The utilization of vicious counterstrokes and sudden cheap-shots such as groin kicks and eye gouges are also a core feature of his fighting style.
Kazuhira's lightsaber is made up of a 30-centimeter long hilt, wrapped with leather for a better two-handed grip, and a non-adjustable 100-centimeter long blade. Two green kyber crystals in a basic dual-crystal mount provide the source for the blade of the saber. Every aspect of the saber was constructed purely for practicality and ease of use and ergonomics. Kazuhira deliberately avoided adding too many personal touches or aesthetics during the blade's construction.Kazuhira is far more skilled in his use of the force than he is in lightsaber combat. He has mastered every core power, and possesses anywhere from significant mastery to proficiency in the universal powers, with the exception of sever force, which he refuses to learn or practice. His understanding of the light side of the force and his skill in its signature abilities could be considered highly exceptional. In addition to his natural talent, Kazuhira also possesses the rare ability to perceive Shatterpoints, and exceptional skill in Pyrokinesis, rendering him capable of creating and manipulating flames without needing a movement or focus as minuscule as a wave of the hand.
Force Powers and Training
Kazuhira is also an exceptional force healer. He possesses such great skill in the practice that he can detoxify harmful substances, and control pain. He is a natural when it comes to the use of Empathy and Telepathy, capable of discerning the secrets and intentions of certain individuals without even making a conscious attempt to do so. Certain force abilities such as Psychometry, Flashburn, and Force Concealment have proven to be exceptionally high brick walls for Kazuhria who still hasn't been able to reach a basic level of proficiency in the abilities.
