Kas Larsen

The world was lush and vibrant... and Sheila was engaged in epic battle... her blade crossing talons and beak with the monster boss of all birds that threatened her. She had tried to get away, had tried to calm and talk things out but he was intent. The ivory feathered foul fowl king. Their battle had been pitted across the land the sea and the skies above... why no one would really be certain but the bird seemed intent upon it being a struggle to the death. Then something shifted... something in the force and they both seemed to sense it for a moment. Hunger gnawed at both their bellies and they could hear it... growing weary of the fight and with great hunger Sheila spoke. "Truce." SHe said it and the noble bird nodded understanding to her while they set off for food and the sensation in the force. Sheila riding astride the birds back.

Formidable enemies now friends as it were as halfway towards food the bird bucked and turned knocking SHeila off of his back and she adjusted flying around and finding the pathway through the trees. She moved quickly into the air and was a small ball of golden light zooming around quickly. "Arse." The small jedi master said it while she was navigating around. her hair pulled back in a ponytail and her interest as the chime came to her communicator. The jedi reached out plenty and there were always a chance of changes happening as she knew many of the temples were shifting in some places... not entirely but the silver jedi had their worlds and temples operating. She had been told about a potential padawan who needed training and guidance.... which she could do as she started flying faster and faster towards the temple.

Exploring other regions of the Galaxy it seemed after a long while in his studies and training as a Jedi there remains to be a lot to learn. Kas landed his starfighter in an opening among the plains of this world. The inclination felt through the Light side of the Force Kas followed once more that something or someone would perhaps help guide him. In furthering his abilities as a Jedi.

Apparently there was a Temple of sorts on this planet. Kas taking caution he went off towards a path in reaching the facility. Might discover and find this being ancient, old training grounds of past Jedi before him. Time for another adventure and possibly new training to embark on.

"Hello. I'm Kas Larsen. A Padawan Learner from the Jedi Order of current times. Looking for further knowledge and training to embrace." Kas said as he approached the old Temple.

The sounds of the temple were always a welcomed time and the As-Aki jedi master was usually an attraction to the padawans. Few really saw what she did in the field.... and that wasn't because of her small size. A laugh came to her face when she was checking on more things that they had. "That way." She said it as she was sitting there atop his head.. the hair in her hands and she was directing the padawan like a biomechanical meat puppet that was under her command. The padawan was moving with each tug of the hair but he was also able to avoid as she manipulated the different areas of hair to move hands and feet. "With this... I am invincible." She laughed upon entering the room and patted him... "Good work now return to your classes." She said it and flew up and around the room looking at the others before she landed on a drone flying around and scanning the room.

There was a group of Padawan Learners heading off and doing their own activities within the Temple grounds that Kas was setting foot upon. The energy of the Light side was strong here. It led him to believe that there were Jedi stationed on this planet. One of the Vanguards situated in patrolling the grounds motioned for Kas to head to a classroom.

Once inside of the Temple and got shown to the classroom where Sheila was located within. He went to find somewhere to sit in the class. Perhaps she was going to host a lesson. Open to learning more from other Jedi he hadn't met before. Kas sat down without disturbing others.

"So this is another Jedi Temple. Huh. Never heard or came across it before." Kas said quietly.

"That is because the jedi having only a small handful makes them vulnerable to attack and clustering." She said it and spoke while standing there on the shoulder of a padawan.. her voice coming out like bells and she knew what she was saying but the looks from a couple of them seemed confused while trying to make it out. SHe was speaking fast and high pitched before flyuing into the air and seeing their faces she stopped and breathed in and outwards... letting the force expand for herself as she spoke again. "There have been a lot of temple built in recent decades... the jedi having the ability to expand themselves outwards and into the universe with better extra-galactic hyperlanes has improved even more for all of us and gone forward in making the training more robust."

Kas hearing the voice speak out from the Jedi Master and he fell silent wondering what she would be teaching to the other Padawan Learners in attendance. The Force had drew Kas to come here and it didn't let him down just yet instead leaving matters down to him to take the next steps.

For now, Kas sat in the class and listened to what Sheila had to offer for him to learn and study. He felt the Force radiate from the Jedi Master. Questions remain on his mind, what can he learn here? Who was this Jedi Master? What can they teach to him? Bowed his head in a nod to her.

"I understand master. I'm ready to learn." Kas said in a calm and soft tone toward Sheila.

SHe listened and the padawans were at attention... they were ready to learn and she was eager to teach them what she knew of the force... and life. She stood there in the air as the wings on her back moved quickly. her hands on her hips as they were cocked to the side a little. "Good, cause we have a lot to cover and the first thing is... who can fly?" She said it and landed on another padawans shoulder as she was looking aat him and walked on a few strands of hair... her small frame and weight remaining there before she was checking on it. "Cause flying is a lot easier to do some of the things I am going to be showing you... you might also want to be able to self heal." She rubbed her hands together while looking at all of them.

Kas sat in the class listening and watching the Jedi Master. The question she posed to the class left Kas wondering if she was joking about flying since that seems natural for species. Paid no further attention to that remark and continued listening. More was coming and Kas was open to learn and practice what Sheila was going to share and show the class. Self-healing was mentioned that'd be something Caden, Kas' younger brother, would be interested in. Since Caden is aspiring to become a Jedi Consular, a Sage and Healer too.

"Sorry master. I'm Kas Larsen. I came from the planets Tython and Naboo where there are two Jedi Enclaves situated on either world. I haven't been here before nor met you, anyone here. Didn't want to be rude." Kas said.

Kas was being polite and nearly forgot to introduce himself to fellow Jedi sitting through this class within this Temple he came upon. He was now comfortable and ready to absorb the knowledge and teaching from another Jedi. This was different from the times with Vizion Trozky on Jakku, Jairdain Ismet-Thio on Commenor and time spent with Katarine Ryiah between Coruscant and Tython.

"Most have not met me... I am really easy to miss." She said it while looking at the padawan who was speaking and she gave a small nod of ehr head that it was time and they could do a lot. "We'll see though what can be done though." She said it and flying around motioned for all of them to get up as she was buzzing around and under the arms of the padawans. "We'll start with healing as you are going to want to be able to do it and be able to do it without getting tired so. You should all practice slightly hurting yourself and then focusing the force into it to improve your capabilities... to numb your pain in your body."

Kas listened and watched the Jedi Master as she spoke out to not only him but to all fellow Padawan Learners sat throughout the class being held. He got up and followed Sheila in the direction she was leading the group of Padawan Learners to. The topic of Healing through applications of the Force was going to be the focus.

The way the Jedi Master had advised in how to practice self-healing or healing in general seemed odd. Made Kas rethink about the methods being taught and said by Sheila. Using the Force to heal may be good and well, Kas is a Sentinel hopeful where perhaps medicine and technology may be able to perform similar results.

"Hmm that sounds a strange and maybe dangerous master? Unless I'm misunderstanding you." Kas said.

She looked at him. "Only if you don't heal.. or dodge... remember there is always a danger even from just getting out of bed in the morning. A jedi must be prepared and when you are the size of most people palms... it is important to know how to heal the injuries you get from your fellows that try and flick you around." She said it while floating there. "Also, we're going to be flying... or at least jumping and falling with style.... you guys are... I have wings." She said it while looking up. "The physical activity will serve as the action, the descent will be a most active use to slow your fall and your goal is to create the muscle memory to do it without having to focus or think. A jedi needs to be able to focus on some other things and this may come in handy for saving others who are falling when you don't have to focus on yourself."

Kas standing on his feet listened and followed the group of Padawan Learners motioned by the Jedi Master to where they'd begin their practice and training in other Force abilities. In what he could gather they'd be learning how to Heal, Jump and control their Descent. Sounds like they're going to embark on an obstacle course. Kas got the impression that Sheila would be helping the students gathered being more accustomed and natural in using various Force abilities. He won't hesitate or waste time in overthinking this training.

"I see master. Understood. Looking forward to the training you have in store for us all." Kas said with a smile.

She gave a nod of her head to that and then blasted herself up into the air while moving and allowing the force to glow around her. A small glow ball suspended in the air when she looked down and spoke. "First step it leaping to this height... it is about control and augmenting your own body. Focus and clear your mind to wrap yourself in the force... let it slide through the air to rise and when you are coming down make it take longer to move through." She spoke it and was trying to think of the best way to describe to them what for her was natural feeling. THe wings helped and that she really didn't have to carry a whole lot of weight compared to others.

Kas joined the rest of the Padawan Learners in attendance to go towards the training grounds that the Jedi Master was taking them to. Looked like she wanted to introduce the abilities called Force Jump/Leap and Controlled Descent. The young Jedi watched the Jedi Master explain what the task was for all the students to make attempts towards. Kas listened to how each student should focus on the Force and enhance their jumping capabilities as well as controlling their descent back down to the ground.

"Alright master." Kas stepped up to begin the training exercise laid out before the group of Padawan Learners.

Opened his body and mind up to the light-side of the Force and let the energy swirl around him. It wrapped its presence over Kas' person where he looked to the jump height. He crouched down a bit and kicked off from the base of his feet to soar in the air higher than a normal jump. Once Kas was in mid air and coming back down. He started to apply the Force energy to control and slow down his descent avoiding injuries. THUD! BUMP!

Looked like Kas had a successful first attempt at this exercise but was happy to repeat it and let the abilities be second nature for him like Sheila had advised. In which Jedi should be able to use abilities without a lot of focus and imagine it is like extra muscles being exercised.

The other padawans were following suit as some managed to do it... som managed to do it partly... they might not be able to make it to the height but they kind of descended well enough and one or two were working on trying to heal themselves as she flew around and remained near a few of them. "Careful now." She said it while landing on the one padawans leg and she focused the force. "Still your mind and focus on your body... feel the skin and muscle and sinew... let it be there as you see it and focus the force into it. Knit the muscle and heal the flesh." She said it while moving with her hands as she was able to look at the others who were working on the technique to keep at it. "The rest of you are doing good, each time keep trying to go higher and higher for a moment."

Kas seemed to be demonstrating good control naturally while he was calm and focused, not forcing the abilities to occur. He had opened up his body and mind to the Light-side of the Force and let it flow through him. When he saw other Padawan Learners perform similar successes and performing healing techniques. Kas being encouraged by the Jedi Master he began increasing the height of his jumps.

In the higher leaps Kas would also being using the Force energy to control his descents back to the ground a little more often but attempting to make it all feel second nature for him. The odd stagger and stumble did happen but no injuries yet thankfully. Not discouraged Kas continued to practice at heights were he wanted to work on his controlled descent more. Of course he did take breaks to let himself not become over fatigued.

"Should I focus on the healing more master?" Kas asked Sheila as he was taking a brief break to rest.

She continued to work with the padawans and was allowing them to heal themselves. her eyes shifting when she went over with a few and flew up to land on one of the jumpers shoulders. "You could practice healing your fellows... the healing is for those who hurt themselves. As safe as it can be made there needs to be a little element of danger after all." She said it and remained there for a moment as she shifted and went to Kas shoulder for the moment remaining there. "You are doing good, remember to pace and maintain at first but also enjoy it a little. SMall things to improve for yourself or maybe test yourself a little more."

Objective: Practice Healing

After a few more times of practicing his control in descending from the jumps and leaps at various heights and lengths. Kas was making progress, good progress and Sheila informed the young Jedi that he was doing well.

The only Force ability that Kas knew of was Curato salva and perhaps branching out further in the Healing Arts wouldn't go amiss since Jedi would use the Force to help those injured and sick.

"I wouldn't mind practicing some more healing master. I only know of Curato salva though nothing else. I'm right in believing that's only self-healing not capable in being used on others right master?" Kas asked Sheila.

The young Jedi was aspiring to become a Sentinel so perhaps not limiting himself to using medicines and technology, the Force can play a role in healing others and himself where those options are off the table.

"Yes and I will show you the trick after your sneak me some sugar... and none of that artificial stuff." She said it and looked at the padawan as she flew up to help with the others. "You have been doing well and so I am trusting you with this." She said it with a smile though as she was lightly hovering over one of the padawans and helping with some of the bruising for the moment. She allowed the force to spread out from her fingers and hands while she allowed the force to flow into the paadawans and they were getting better. Able to sit there and rest for a moment as some of the others had finished and were exhausted. Sheila hovering up a little with a nod. "You are all doing good. Once the warm up is done we'll be able to do a few of the fun things."

Kas found that rather odd coming from Sheila and he just continued to rest, meditate while he waited for further instruction. The young Jedi figured must be refreshments that the Jedi Master was seeking. He went off into the Temple to bring back some consumables for everyone to have.

"I'll be back with refreshments master." Kas said to Sheila as he went away inside of the Temple and returned.

It was good to be apart of this training that Kas joined and participated in since arriving. He left the refreshments tray out for everyone to receive something to consume. All while Kas did a few more practice jumps and leaps going slightly higher and longer than he did before.
