But then, Palpatine, the stupid chancellor, named himself the Emperor and made the whole life a living hell. His ruling was so terrible, that Dominator didn't want to even think about it. But the great responsibility... Luke built it, grew it, raised it... And became the Jedi Grandmaster. Dominator had thought, how would it feel to be so important person. Maybe he couldn't handle the responsibility?

He wasn't still very skilled in lightsaber fighting, so the Force could be his best weapon.

The Jedi Order is not just a bunch of people, who are ruled by the dictator-like council. The Council just chooses our rules to make us live in harmony with the Force.
