Jedi Academy-Finding Someone

Kitani made haste as she ran up the steps into the Jedi Academy. This was becoming something frequent seeing that the only time she was ever seen inside was because there was something bothering her. The female had turn into a worry wart but she believed it was for the best. She made her way past the doors into the vibrant environment of force sensitive users, she speed walks through the hallway catching the eyes of many of the passing individuals.

She finally made her way to the information desk or rather someone who could direct her with more help. The attendant there looked up towards her and smile.

"Excuse me but i was wondering if there was a way to send a message or rather to find someone; You see i am looking for Master Corvus "

The attendant raised an eyebrow but still kept her smile. She gestured over towards the communication link on the side and directed her on how to use it and of course send a message. She was told however that she would need to wait, something that she was used to ever since joining the academy.

Kitani bows towards her and quickly makes her way towards the panel. She plays around with panel before issuing a command.

"Could you patch me through to Jedi Master Corvus Raaf? "

The panel beeps and boops before a droid like response speaks back
"Right away "

She attempts to make contact with the master in hopes of speaking with her.

Corvus was taking a class of Younglings in the first Form. Shii-Cho was the basis of all of the other Forms, so young Jedi were heavily schooled in it before learning others. Today they'd continued their work on Ideal Form I.

The class was just ending when someone walked into the classroom. Corvus raised an eyebrow.

“Grand Master Raaf...I mean Corvus, there’s been a request for you to speak to someone.”

“Oh,” Corvus said, bowing to the young Jedi. “Well they’d finished here anyway.” She looked back to the Younglings. “See you all tomorrow and we’ll start to look at the Live Combat Form.”

“Now, lead on.”

The Padawan took her downstairs until they saw a young woman with blonde hair standing in front of them.

Corvus bowed and smiled. “I’m Corvus, how many I help?”

Kitani was sitting down nearby the panel, it appear that she was deep in her thoughts. Something not wise for someone who should be always keen on these things. Turning around to see the Grand Master herself, she would quickly stand up to bow in respect.

" Master Corvus! " She exclaims

She was now beginning to double think going on with the questions. There has to be an explanation for everything but this was somewhat bothering her. She straightens herself up

" I apologies for intruding on such short notice but something has come up..."

She appeared to struggling to speak out.
"You see i was recently in the under city (Assuming this jedi temple is on Corruscant, if not i'm sorry ;-;)
And i happen to come across a..."

She lets out exhale as she feels taboo to even say the word.
" A user of the dark side of the force....He spoke of your name Master Corvus "

She stands there hoping that this was all just nothing and she was just worrying for nothing. That this was all a lie and of course
she expected to be reprimanded if what the other individual said was true about Jedi not being able to walk through there.

Coruscant has been in One Sith hands for over a year now, but we’ll improvise - you could have been on a mission on Coruscant :)

We’re on Ossus — it’s the only Academy we have

Corvus’ smile widened. “Just Corvus, OK? And never apologise, it's what I'm here for. ”

The news was not entirely troubling — many Sith knew her name — but the context was key here. “Your reason for being there we’ll chat of later, but clearly this news troubles you. Can you give me any more information? Anything about what else he said? What he looked like?”

would nod at the imminent scolding she might get for being in such a place but for now she powers through. She takes a deep breath reminiscing the events that unfolded the other day.

"His said his name was vengeance , lightly tanned skin with short hair and a goatee...He mentioned that he spoke with you before..He implied that he knows you on a personal level "

Would not start to think if this man was actually someone close to Corvus.

"Ma-..Corvus..Is it possible to have such acquaintanceship with someone from the side or is he just trying to deceive me just like he assaulted my mind.."

[member="Corvus Raaf"]

Corvus indicated they should walk, and led them outside, into the gardens.

“I like to walk and talk, I find it helps.”

She thought on Kitani’s words. There was much she wanted to say and ask, but patience and timing was key here. So she started slowly. And her vice remained calm and soft. Barely above a whisper but it carried to the Padawan's ears easily enough.

“I know of him as opposed to know him. He is a Sith for sure. And he is romantically linked with my sister. Who is also a Sith. I actually have two remaining siblings. My older sister is a Jedi. Taeli. You may come across her. But Melori is my little sister and sadly follows the Dark-side. And this Vengeance is her chosen partner.”

“So, tell me how you came to meet him?” It was a softer approach to the question she wanted to ask — how did he attack your mind?

Kitani took her gesture and would follow Corvus towards the garden of the temple. She would normally enjoy the view of such place but the tone of the conversation limit her to simply focus on this. She would never understand what it would be like to loose someone so close to the dark side. To a jedi its a fate worse than death. She kept her glance towards the path infront of them, she replies in the same tone of voice implying that this was of secrecy.
"I'm sorry to hear that, i was not aware of the circumstances... I happen to come across in the under city of corruscant. It's actually were i grew up. "

She pauses for the moment remembering the attack that could only be describe in word. Pure un adulterated fear, it blinded her senses but through some luck she was able to break free.

" i cant explain it but it as if the dark side of the force clouded my judgement and engulfed me in fear... It resonated from him but i was able to somehow break free "
She remains silent shortly after replying

[member="Corvus Raaf"]

Corvus listened. There was no judgement due as to how or why the Padawan was on Coruscant. She was here, she was in one piece and she was relatively safe. As long as the attack had no lasting damage. And her elder sister was ideally placed to see if there was any residual taint — she’d removed a piece of a Sith Holocron gate-keeper’s consciousness from Corvus’ brain after all.

“Your strength serves you well. Only the weak fall to the Dark-side. Now, I’d recommend you get a check-up once we’re finished but for now, let’s focus on why you sought me out. How can I help?”

[member="Kitani Corandel"]

Kitani now bealived that her reason for seeking her out was defeated after the explanation on how could someone from the dark side be acquainted with a Jedi; It flew by her that someone bridges from past relationships can bring forth new ones. She brings her glance up towards Corvus nodding at her suggestion

" I'll be sure to get myself checked "

Time was of the essence and she knew that she must not hold the Grand master any longer
" My confusion was only in that altercation but it all makes sense now, it is possible to loose someone to that side...My only concern now is training myself. I would ask you for help but i'm sure you have already have your hands full ".

[member="Corvus Raaf"]

Corvus nodded, “It’s wise to get both a Jedi healer and a regular medic take a look at you. Just to be 100% sure you’re OK.”

And then she smiled — that turned into a chuckle. “You can’t beat the direct approach, but have the courage of your convictions. Are you asking me to be your Master or convincing me I’m too busy?”

[member="Kitani Corandel"]

would nod at her suggestions and would ignore the danger she could of been in seeing that a Jedi healer was needed just to be on the safe side. Her second statement did struck her rather surprisingly. She gasps lightly at her rebuttal

" It would be a privilege to have ask you to be my master, Corvus "

She lets out a small exhale seeing that the force had other plans for her
"I have already been assigned master Labooda, I hope my path is long so that i may ask you for future guidance " She softly replies

[member="Corvus Raaf"]

Corvus chuckled. "Shmi will make an excellent Master, you're in great hands there. And if you ever need any training, you know where to find me."

"And I mean that. And I'll speak with Shmi from time to time to see how you're getting along." She smiled once more, "But I know you'll do just fine."

[member="Kitani Corandel"]

Kitani did forget for the moment that she was the Grandmaster of the order so all the Jedi are known by her. She smiles back nodding softly
"Ill be sure to take you up on that Corvus "

Her comment about checking up on her did strike a bit of worry in her; Worrying about if she could actually live up to all those that became before or those that still stand today.

"I won't let you or my master down " She says firmly

She steps in front of Corvus halting their walk in the Jedi temple garden. She would bow deeply to her
Mid bow she says
" Thank you Corvus for all your help, you have been a great help in my path "

[member="Corvus Raaf"]

Corvus smiled. "Never let yourself down. Then you can never disappoint anyone else. For as long as there is truth between your heart and the Force, you will be a fine Jedi. And trust in the Force. People will let you down. Governments will let you down. Even you will let you down. But the Force will never let you down."

And she bowed to the Padawan. "May the Force be with you." And then she headed off to her next lesson, knowing that Kitani would invariably do herself proud.

[member="Kitani Corandel"]

Kitani took in the wise words of the Grandmaster. It was true that everyone else would let her down but the one person or rather one entity that would not was the force. She straightens herself off and would see Corvus off before she exits the temple garden, she had to meet her master soon enough seeing that she called for a meeting.

<I should trust in the force more, i'll be needing it now more than ever >

with that, she would aswell walk off.
