Weapon Description
Description: "Janus" as it's called is s custom weapon build for The Serpent [member=Dyxra'a"] and her needs for personal protection. The weapon while complicated as it may seem a rather basic in its design. A metal cane that unravels into a sick bladed whip that uses simple physics and a small electric motor to function.

How it's built. The cane itself is starts at the grip where the motor is located along with a button wired on the handle that activates it. When the button is pressed it causes the motor to start to unravel excess slack that has been wound up in the handle. This ensure that the cane converts itself into its whip form. The shaft of the cane loosens and the opposite end of every other cane segment is a blade that fits into a notch carved into each other segment allowing the blades to slip back inside. All and all its a very simple method of just unwinding excess high tension cable in the handle of the cane to form the whip. However to convert it back to cane form all one needs to do is press the button again, but it's required that the whip is laid out straight before you do so to prevent injury and tangle.

Power. The whip is downright deadly in the right hands. It can wrap around throats, target limbs, shred muscle, and flesh. It's a dangerous weapon that does require some skill to use but it's devastating against soft unarmored targets that the serpent would normally face on the streets of wherever it is she prowls. But the weapon's greatest strength isn't that it's a whip, it's that it's hidden. You can take it and walk right through a weapon scanner or pat down without anyone knowing the difference. Just walk with a limp to be safe, get the sympathy factor going.

Drawbacks. As cool and awesome as this weapon is there are some serious drawbacks and weaknesses to it. For starters it's not lightsaber resistant at all, so a saber will cut right through it like a hot knife through butter. Another is that armor and the whip don't agree, while it can cut through weak leather or mesh against any real armor it won't cut through or do the slightest damage besides it needing a new paint job. Also if it does need to be stated its a large bladed whip held together by a cable, so the chance of the whip coming back to bite you if you aren't careful can be up there.

Summary. A nice concealable weapon that the serpent can use, it's tough, capable, and deadly. Just don't use it against a beskar clad warrior or put your own eye out with it and you should be fine.
