Janith Kaya Rintao

Age26
SpeciesGenetically Engineered Hybrid - Human/Zeltron
GenderFemale
Height5’7 | 1.70m
Weight131 lbs | 59.4 kg
Force SensitiveYes

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Beautiful in appearance - and of course for obvious reasons as she was originally genetically made to ‘be perfect’ as much as her creator failed to do so in his image; Janith, has slight tan Olive skin, and beautiful somewhat large round green eyes with a slight central heterochromia, with the inside portion of her iris being a slight pinkish color from her zeltron genetics, and fairly full lips. Her eyebrows well-defined and symmetrical with a small cut on her right eyebrow from a close encounter she had when she was younger - and her facial structure is complemented with high cheekbones.

Aside from her facial form she has slightly past shoulder length dark brunette hair which, she fairly often accents with blonde and or white highlights - having previously had natural pink tips but due to the zeltron gene’s coming out, She though replaced them with blonde tips after wanting to move away from her past. More than that she will wear her hair up in a bun, or braid in in some kind of way to prevent it from getting in her way; although, when she isn’t on mission, or on a stealth job or infiltration, she finds herself simply laying it down over her shoulders and letting it loose.

Moving on to the rest of her physical appearance - she has a fairly athletic build, while she does have curves, specifically around her hips, her body is fairly slender. She has been working out in dangerous environments so she has trained her body to being in shape, and of course, fit. Along with that, moving onto style - she wears an outfit that is most commonly found on her - That being her Dark taupe jacket, with dark shoulders, and a fur inside lining. She gained this from a gamble she made with another smuggler, stealing his highly expensive tailored jacket, after.. Losing. Along with that, she often wears fairly form-fitting jeans that accentuate her lower form, but on her thigh and knee have pieces of plasteel plates. Aside from her typical ‘smuggler outfit’ she calls it; she has a plethora of different dresses she’s procured over the years, all typically being very form-fitting, from black sheath dresses, to a few fun body con and strapless dresses. Regardless her appearance in the present can be compared to a mix of utility for her job; but also fashionable as she loves presentation.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Janith is a complex amalgamation of her tumultuous past and her aspirations for the future. Despite her formidable skills and connection to the Force, she is profoundly human, grappling with guilt and seeking redemption for her actions. Janith is inherently empathetic, capable of deep connections despite her fears of attachment and loss. This empathy drives her desire to help others, seeing it as a path to atone for her past. She is introspective and often contemplative, reflecting on her actions and their impact on the world around her.

Her beliefs are rooted in a nuanced understanding of the Force; she respects its power but fears its potential for corruption. Janith believes in the inherent goodness of individuals but remains cautious, knowing too well the darkness that resides within. She values freedom, not just her own but that of others, often putting herself at risk to protect those who cannot defend themselves.

Socializing and forming connections are Janith's ways of seeking normalcy in a life far from ordinary. Each new relationship is a step towards redemption, a chance to prove to herself that she can be more than her past. However, her journey towards self-forgiveness is fraught with challenges. Janith struggles to fully embrace her potential, haunted by the fear that she may never escape the shadows of her former self. Despite this, her core belief in hope and change propels her forward, making her a reluctant yet genuine hero in the eyes of those she helps.

STRENGTHS
  • High Connection to the Force: If theres one thing thats a major strength for her - it comes with her natural connection to the force, which, is incredibly potent. She has the capability to be a powerful user of the force, however this strength isn’t much of one in the moment due to her fear of abusing the force.
  • Empathy: Janith's profound empathy is heightened by her Zeltron genetics, allowing her to deeply understand and share others' feelings. This natural ability, combined with her connection to the Force, makes her an exceptional mediator who can connect deeply with allies and sense the emotions of adversaries, guiding her actions with compassion and keen insight.
  • Charisma: Janith has always been naturally charismatic; she knows how to brighten a room - and loves talking her way into and out of situations. She has a huge heart, and next to that, has the ability to make people fall for her quite easily - although apart of that comes with her natural charm and slightly her zeltron genetics.
  • Combat Skills: She has been trained by multiple different circuits - from Jedi training from her adoptive father, to mercenary and some mandao training from mercenaries working for the two hutts she was previously employed by; in a moment she can handle herself with her fists, and saber as she is skilled in Form II and III, and with a blaster which - she somewhat prefers.

WEAKNESSES
  • Guilt: The weight of past actions heavily burdens Janith, her guilt manifesting in self-doubt and hesitation. This affects her self-esteem and decision-making, sometimes preventing her from taking decisive action due to fear of repeating past mistakes.
  • Extremely Poor Pilot: While Janith can manage basic piloting, flying from point A to point B without incident, her skills in a cockpit leave much to be desired, especially in combat situations. Don't expect her to perform well in a dogfight or execute complex maneuvers.
  • Overprotective: Janith's experiences with loss have left her extremely protective of those she cares about, including her old family possessions and her droid, BD-5. This overprotectiveness can cloud her judgment and lead to smothering those she intends to protect.
  • PTSD: Traumatic events from Janith's past, including the loss of her adoptive father and the violent actions she has committed, contribute to her PTSD. This manifests as flashbacks, nightmares, and sudden emotional turmoil, potentially impairing her ability to function under stress.
  • Curiosity: Her intense curiosity drives her toward exploration and understanding, but it also leads her into danger. This trait, while often a strength in gathering information, can draw her into perilous situations, as her desire for knowledge sometimes outweighs her consideration of the risks.

HISTORY

Episode I: “Prologue”

Janith was born, or rather created on the fairly low-populated floral world of Felucia - of course her story begins about a decade prior to her creation. Her ‘Creator’ or father for the sake of the story Ven Devorak, was a scientist formally in the core helping biological and mostly agricultural restoration processes, although - two decades into his work and study, became infatuated with being someone to ‘create’ the force within an artificially born being. Years went by and after leaving his old lab on Corellia, and moving to Arkania he met a Zeltron woman who was homeless, taking her in. Sadly.. The woman wasn’t going to be ‘employed’ and was rather the first subject of this man’s test. Taking gene samples from her as he put her into a stasis pod. Spending three more years on Balmorra he created his first two creations there; which turned out to be catastrophic failures. By this point he was running out of credits and began becoming desperate as his only goal in life was to finish his creation, and perfect his ideal.

That being said he would gain work for a hutt by the name of Gramaka who owned a fairly powerful spice smuggling ring all throughout the northern outer rim, exploiting some low security worlds whenever planetary or factional forces weren’t available. Nonetheless, Gramaka began bank rolling Ven, although with the condition the creation would serve Gramaka when finished. Of course Ven agreed, with the plan to hide away the creation when it was finished. More years went by; and with every discovery Ven made - he would find himself equally lost once again by another obstacle.. That was until help came in the form of Gramaka’s main enforcer, Oran. Oran Rintao was a force user who had gone from order to order, learning from archives - expanding his horizon - but as he became somewhat isolated in his old age due to him becoming distrustful of other’s due to his daughter’s murder, he began working for Gramaka as an enforcer. That being said - Oran one day would return to Ven with a strange force artifact, a sort of .. transmitter from an ancient sith temple.

With the usage of this transmitter, Ven was finally able to take the essence of one individual and converge it into one of his creations.. So next came the next phase of his process. In the middle of the night - he uprooted his lab, and using a freighter he stole - he loaded most of his lab equipment into the ship before taking off for the outer rim. First stopping by the wheel, he found two ‘Volunteers’ a force sensitive slave he bought from some syndicate user, and a man he found drunk at a bar.. Truly sick what he had planned, but to him - it was justified in the name of science. Moreover, as he brought his two prisoners and his mobile lab to the deep outer rim he arrived on Felucia, setting up his lab in a small abandoned camp from an old science expedition from years ago.. With all of that said, it took two weeks - but after the blood and sweat his experiment was ready.

It took three long days - but after a brutal procedure converging the essence from the two individuals while moving them to his creation - He saw success, Janith, was born. Upon finishing the process he only had twenty minutes to relax.. Holding his creation in his arms for some time before suddenly, an explosion blew the lab door down. Standing in the entrance was Oran; he was carrying out the Orders of Gramaka - eliminate the traitor. However.. Upon charging Ven, - Ven begged, showing Janith, and.. Strangely as Oran saw the child - he stopped, remembering his daughter.. But seeing the corpses of the two prisoners - he looked at Ven. He showed no mercy, slaying Ven for the monster he was, but upon grabbing Janith he felt sorrow for this child - she had no parents, no guide, was it better to put her out of her misery now.. Or.. Well the force made a choice him; speaking to him in a way he had never felt.. As he took the child, and bringing her to live a life in hiding.

Episode II: “Childhood until the End”

As She was taken from the lab, Oran returned with Janith to his apartment on Ord Mantell, one bought for him by Gramaka. He - didn’t want to take care of her, but something inside of him was forcing him too - so he bought a bed, and began.. Raising her - and hated the feelings he felt inside; remembering his daughter. While he would often leave her with his friend Ghrak, a trandoshan chef who took a liking to Janith, her early infancy days were a repetitive motion of Oran being.. A fairly distant father, and Ghrak being the more fatherly figure to her.

Eitherway as she got older, and entered her actual childhood years - Janith and Oran became much closer - with him even changing her legal last name to match his to on one hand.. Avoid suspicion and tie them legally on Ord Mantell.. But also due to Oran growing quite fond of her. While he was very keen on keeping her out of his lifestyle, by the time she was four, he began doing three thing; One, he took less jobs, as he would only do two a month to spend more with Janith, two, he began teaching Janith about the force as he sensed alot of potential in her.. And three, he began taking her and Ghrak on vacations, as by this point Ghrak had retired from his job working for Gramaka. This time was.. Nice, she felt free, happy, and like she had a family. She was always confused on why she never had a mom as Oran had lied to Janith and told her as she was growing up that he was her dad.. She was simply told her mom passed away when she was little, which, wasn’t far from the truth, the tube that made her did explode when Oran shut everything down. Eitherway as she grew even older, around age six she noticed she was born with a skill in Psychometry, one she was had most likely gained from the individual she inherited part of her force sensitivity from. Eitherway, she would at a young age begin using this skill to learn.. Touching instruments to learn to play them; grabbing artifacts Oran had gained to learn their history..

Regardless of the fact through the ages of 8-12 Oran would consistently train her with a saber - while she only had a practice staff during training and would rarely if not ever be able to use Oran’s saber, she began to develop herself as a duelist.. And in time; became quite decent in form II and form III, as her adoptive father didn’t look kindly on the more aggressive teachings.. Although, she did at times when he would sleep, use his saber to learn from the books he had, learning a tiny fraction of form V on her own. Although in this time she also began focusing her effort on expanding her skills in the force as Oran taught her the basics, and explored her ability in psychometry. Along with all of that too - she got even closer to Oran when the two would begin going out on hikes together in the mountains and hills of Ord Mantell. They would talk, open up, and she would learn about Oran’s first kid - and from what Janith thought.. Her ‘older sister’. All of this finally helped Janith feel a sense of attachment as she had always felt that she was a fish out of water, not truly fitting in.. But all things must come to an end, eventually.

With that being said at the age of 15, everything changed for Janith. Gramaka wanting to close up loose ends as rivals in the criminal were coming after him to have him shut down legally - Gramaka.. Sent a death squad to eliminate Oran and any allies nearby. As the group arrived, Oran had sensed the presence coming, and, of course since he was a suspicious man, had already packed goods for Janith if this day would have ever come.. - With that Oran gave Janith one last embrace, hugged her - and knocked her out with the force.. Ghrak simply took Janith and went off taking Oran’s old freighter. While Janith never saw what happened, the death squad came in, overpowered Oran with 2 gunships they brought in, and a group of about thirty trained mercenaries. Oran fought, but he knew he was only fighting to buy Ghrak and Janith time to leave… He fought for 1 hour - but as time ran out, so did his life. In the end the two were able to escape thanks to his sacrifice.

The rest of her ‘childhood’ of course going into her teenage years was somewhat gone, she was on the run as Gramaka had known two got away. Eitherway, this all left her somewhat broken inside as she lost her father - and was left only with her ‘Uncle’ in a sense.. And Ghrak wasn’t in the best state either due to the loss of Oran who was his best friend, but became incredibly devoted towards ensuring Janith’s safety, and overall welfare. A former droid smith and mechanic with an incredibly kind heart, and now the only family Janith had; with the only thing she had left from Oran being an audio journal he prepared for her, and his lightsaber. Her younger years simply continued as this; find a new home, remain for two weeks, leave, and repeat.. Ghrak and her got closer, but the two were always close; however the wounds were never fixed.

Episode III: “Revenge for a Fool”

As Janith turned 18, Ghrak celebrated it by giving Janith a gift he had been working on for five months - a droid, a BD exploration unit - but, as the celebrated her birthday, nothing more than revenge was on her mind. The dark side had taken hold of the young Janith - she was angry, upset they never got justice for Oran, and wanting to leave.. So one night - taking Oran’s old saber, and her new BD unit named BD-5, she.. Left. Abandoning Ghrak with the Freighter. She slipped away while they were on Brentaal IV, and began her quest for vengeance. It was stupid; she knew it was, but deep down she needed to avenge her dad, it was the only thing she could do that would help ease the pain, and didn’t want to listen to Ghrak’s advice, she had simply allowed everything to brew to the top. So finding the first shuttle on Brentaal IV that was leading to Hutt space, her plan was to infiltrate what she hated from the bottom up. After giving up all the credits she had - She made the journey.

Arriving on Nal Hutta; she tracked down the first Localized power on the planet, a Hutt by the name of Vaharga, he was a scumbag, a scoundrel, one who exploited the people under his control leading them to poverty.. And the perfect one in her eyes to exploit to get closer to her real goal. So, as she got to work - and got her first mercenary contract for Vaharga. A Job where she was sent down, to shut down a rogue group of mercenaries who had stopped working for him. She went in, and swiftly put the group down using stealth and her charisma, leading them to feeling safe - performing a character.. But it was gruesome, she showed no mercy, using force choke for the first time ever as it felt.. Natural, and using a blaster to kill as well for the first time ever - With that said, something, had began to snap within Janith who was brewing these dark emotions for years now.. Moreover, she returned to Vaharga, and was paid and congratulated as she spent an entire 2 years doing more work for him, murders, tax collection, and destruction of enemy factories.. She helped put Vaharga on the map while sadly marking herself as a ruthless murderer. Going by the name.. Of Janith Sakota, to hide her relation to Oran. Eitherway, after a year and by the time she was - she had moved up in the ranks, while she had her case of failing missions, and being too confident in herself, the dark side was fueled by her rage and anger and continued to push her in the right direction.

With all of this said, Janith by the age of 20 had turned into a monster, broken from her feelings, her mind was clear with murder - she was no longer a good person like she was when she was a little girl, and was fine with hurting anyone who got in her way - the swamp had corrupted her. At the age of 20 she finally had an audience with Gramaka - where she presented herself as a new Mercenary for him.. Having brought Vaharga’s head to him; having dishonorably betrayed and backstabbed the hutt that supported her.. But it wasn’t a loss as Vaharga wasn’t an angel himself. Gramaka seeing the potential, and believing her to be just another, much younger Oran’ he brought her in to work for him, but only on lesser jobs to prove her. The first job she did was a mission to Nimbam - helping in protecting a spice trade, but at the trade there was an explosion scattering the meeting ground.. She proved herself by killing the insurgents trying to shut the trade down, but sadly was separated from the traders. Stuck on Nimbam, and scared and alone - she finally saw, him, Oran as a force ghost spoke to her; while it was unclear if it was actually him - she tried to sway her from what she was doing.. But, believing she was just hallucinating she ignored him. Finally finding a starport and stealing a ship back to Nal Hutta - sadly, BD-5 by the end of this mission was.. Destroyed, breaking another part of her on the inside.

As she returned back to Gramaka, she was congratulated for protecting the traders, and surviving as well - she didn’t expect her too - so for the next year she was kept on the same train of completing dangerous jobs for him, all jobs that are mean’t to get her killed but everytime she found a way to survive. By the time she was 22, it became time for her to act, but, first he had one last special mission for her.. A job on Balmorra so close to the core. A simply sabotage mission, set a bomb and leave. Upon arriving she got work, and set the explosives - and with no resistance, she prepared to detonate the bombs.. Feeling a disturbance though - her mind telling her not to do this; but.. Wanting revenge before anything else, pulled the trigger. The next moment was left with a massive bang, and the location she was sent to destroy was gone - As she went into investigate though; she was met with true pain though.. She was sent to kill Ghrak, and was succesful in the job as his poor body was laying out. She spent hours crying - holding his body as she cleaned the scene up, feeling like an absolute mistake, the wave of the dark side fluxing in and out of balance as she wanted to grieve.. Give this revenge up.. But, while it ebbed away, it flowed back with pure rage. She comm’d Gramaka who met her with a laugh, who had known who she was from the beginning, and informed her that she found it funny that he didn’t even have to be the one to kill him, “Come get me” was the last thing he ever said to her as she made her way back to Nal Hutta. Upon returning she was met by guards who arrested her, bringing her back to Gramaka, unarmed. In the court of the scum that technically created her life, and ruined it at the same time.. He explained everything - breaking her down more as she learned the truth of Oran.. but this only helped her as she realized Oran changed himself, just to care for her. As he told her that she would simply be a slave, serving him - something truly snapped in her as she let out a violent force push in all directions - and begin choking out the room, exerting her body as she recovered her saber from a nearby guard and charged Gramaka - He had been too confident on his throne as her blade dug deep, eliminating him.. Sadly this was her greatest mistake as through killing him she only put a target on her head. As the guards got back up, Gramaka was dead and she was in the room - .. she considered attacking them to prevent herself becoming a witness but began running in fear. She made it back to her Freighter, the same one Ghrak had repaired and been working on all these years. Turning the ship on and getting into orbit - she - finally breathed as she began breaking down.. What had she done.

Episode IV: “Hiding to find Hope”

She had been jumping system to system for a week by the time after killing Gramaka, a bounty was on her head for a hefty amount of credits, and it made getting work basically impossible. But a week into this process; she.. Saw him Again, Oran, while on some abandoned planet - a forest world. The two talked.. She admitted to what she had done.. The dark side she had gave into - the pain she had felt - how.. She killed Ghrak, the fool she had become. Instead of reprimanding her, he agreed with her; she had become a fool - but told her that she had good inside of her, the mistakes she made were made out of giving into passion, she could make a better self for herself - there was still hope for her. The two continued talking for some time, as he faded off - leaving her able to grasp onto something, a sense of her old. She set up a small mural to her family - Ghrak’s favorite guitar, and her father’s saber which she cleaned and stored in a case inside her Freighter, refusing to ever use it again - she would forge her own one day.

Along with that she spent another week repairing the remains of BD-5, finally getting him back online as she - once again had someone to talk to. She spoke to BD-5 as she began venting about her issues, but, was met by a video journals from Ghrak that he had transmitted to her before he died, sending Janith into pain - but.. She chanelled her way through it - she would need to to better herself. So for the next year she had to change who she was, the once ‘Janith Sakota’ moved back to her real name as Janith Rintao, going by Kaya around people she didn’t know to save herself from blowing her cover due to her being wanted. She simply spent time from then on doing smuggling work, doing jobs where she knew it wouldn’t exploit innocents.. Trying to go back to helping people, the way she used to be. Along with that - doing mercenary work in protection details, often wearing a mask to cover everything below her nose as she kept a low profile.

Episode V: “Epilogue”

Over the recent year and into the present Janith has still lived a life running from hunters, with a large bounty on her head from her wrong doings against the Hutts, she lives out of her Freighter the “Trident” - which has become her home in a sense. Along with that, she has also strayed from the force in the present as she felt hurt by using the dark side too much - trying to repair the scar she tore open by using it only when she can feel it. Life was looking better, but - still difficult as she was under the consistent pressure of the past.
