Since graduating the police academy, Jal had two weapons at her side at all times. One was a blaster of one design or another, and the other was a stun truncheon. When she was let go, her weapons were forced to be surrendered. Jal had been ready for that, as she had been working on a version to submit to her company’s research and development people. Instead of that, she built her prototype and keeps it on her as a reminder of her service.
It is designed to be able to deliver a variable charge on contact. At its lowest active setting it will deliver a small jolt. At its strongest setting it can disable or render a person unconscious. The entire construction is cased in Phrik, to enable the wielder (Jal) to stand up against lightsaber users in melee combat.
