BACKSTORY:
Jakk was born on Pamarthe after his Pamarthen mother left Jakk's father, Corr Likonis; abandoning her husband's dusty desert planet of Cotellier for the salt and spray of her homeworld, she taught her son all she new about the wind and waves, and instilled Parmarthe culture in her child at every opportunity.
Jakk wouldn't disappoint his mother. When he was of age, he enlisted as a pilot for the Pamarthe Defense Force, and spent much his youth flying top-of-the-line starships in defense of his planet, gaining some minor acclaim and recognition as a competent fighter pilot. Exemplifying the Pamarthe spirit of swagger, adventure, and high velocity vessels, he would finish his military service only to go on to enter racing as a living - piloting everything from starships, to podracers, to watercraft.
Above all, Jakk resists the entreaties of his industrialist father to return to Cotellier and join the family business; indeed, Jakk belongs to the wind and waves, and the salt and spray. Whether he dies in a fiery crash, turns into a burnout racer has-been, or achieves ultimate glory and fame - Jakk will do it by himself, for himself.
