The Jai'galaar-type Basilisk War Droid is a specialized Mandalorian assault mount engineered for shock warfare, rapid strikes, and brutal close-quarters dominance. Unlike traditional Basilisk variants that emphasize heavy integrated weaponry, the Jai'galaar model sacrifices extensive armament in favor of superior speed, agility, and reinforced structural defenses. Its primary weapons are its massive four-digit manipulator claws, capable of tearing through armored troops, light vehicles, and fortified positions with savage efficiency. These claws, combined with its quadrupedal stability and repulsorlift-assisted mobility, allow it to pounce, grapple, and dismantle targets in seconds before disengaging or redirecting to the next threat. True to its name, the droid is equipped with a specialized sound emitter that replicates the piercing cry of the Shriek-hawk, also known as the Jai'galaar. This artificial scream is often unleashed moments before an attack, sowing panic, breaking formations, and psychologically softening enemies before physical contact is made. Unlike most war machines, the Jai'galaar-type is semi-sentient.
