Bound by an oath to protect High Lord Cassian until the house finds a new home, she wears a heavy veil to conceal the physical decay and rapid aging caused by dark side corruption. She spent her adult life bound in service to House Mecetti, handling quiet eliminations and security work for the noble line. Her deep reliance on dark side energy gave her lethal powers, but the corruption quickly took a toll on her body, rapidly aging her lower face and forcing her behind a veil.
That life vanished when the Sith Covenant tore into the sector. House Mecetti was wiped out in the initial wave of the invasion. With her original masters dead, Jai fled into Melantha space. Seeing her value as an enforcer and bodyguard, High Lord Cassian took her in. In exchange, Jai swore a binding oath of service to Cassian until House Melantha establishes a permanent settlement.
Now in 904 ABY, Jai lives in the shadows of the flagship. She stays close to the dying High Lord, managing his security and quietly removing internal threats to the fleet while her own body slowly breaks down beneath her robes.
