The two competitors were brought into the biodome, once more it shifted. What started as neutral ground, quickly began to heat up. Rock rose, then lava flowed into the room. A simulation of the fields of Mustafar, or other molten planets.

High hills of obsidian and volcanic rock were what gave the two stable ground, with rivers of lava flowing between.

And yet again, the robotic voice echoed through the biodome.

<Round Two! Fight!>

All that was left was the sound of crackling rock. The two left alone.

Round two!

There had been little time to celebrate after cleaning up and recovering from her previous fight. Upon learning of her victory her focus had shifted to the next opponent on the bracket: one Jace Rhane, a Jedi Knight. Although her previous adversary had been quite capable indeed, given Jace’s rank, she immediately sensed that he might be prove doubly formidable! And yet, victory demanded the ability to weather challenges and the willingness to face-off against strong, capable opposition. She had known that going in, and had no intention of backing out now.

Thus, brought back into the biodome, Venlana’s eyes widened as the environment transformed around her into a molten lava field. Simulated heat wash filled the arena, oppressive even with the dermal hydration system integrated into her robes.

<Round Two! Fight!>

Her ears beneath the black headdress gave a faint twitch as she glanced across to her opponent. He was more than a foot taller than her, athletically built, and handsome in a refined, yet roguish way. Maybe it was his hair?

Venlana stepped forward and offered him a respectful smile. She set her own lightsaber to training mode and ignited it, a fuchsia-hued blade coming alight with a distinct hiss-snap. Then, after flicking the safety to hard-disable the lethal setting, she spoke.

“Hello,” she began in a sweet, airy tone. “I am Venlana Solay.” She paused then, her gaze meeting his as her words settled between them.

“Let us give our all in pursuit of peace,” Venlana continued, settling into her stance. “And in doing so, may the Force flow richly through us both!”

• Her hair is cut short and dyed red via Instadye. It has no accessories aside from hairclips to keep her headdress in place.. She has been administered an eye color injection to change her eye color to green.
• She is under the effect of a False Light Side Aura spell.

Jace raised an eyebrow at her... choice of words. It seemed off. Perhaps she was just weird. Anyone who elected to fight in a tournament had a few screws loose. He crouched down, tuning his emitter.

He disrobed his upper robe, leaving him in just the undergarments, a sort of peasant-style shirt, hanging loosely at the sleeves. He adjusted his vambraces, before igniting his saber. He tuned the blade to be a fair bit longer than hers-

An indicator of his fighting style.

He gave her the Makashi salute, and got into position. Total focus. Total control.

A flicker of a frown shifted her features for a split-second at Jace’s raised eyebrow. Perhaps her greeting had been a bit awkward. The realization tightened her lips with an embarrassed flush. The line between aura and cringe wasn’t always clear, but in reading her opponent’s reaction, Venlana sensed that she had strayed quite decidedly into the latter!

Nevertheless, Venlana quickly composed herself. Her gaze traced the lengthening of Jace’s blade, the precision of his Makashi salute, and the removal of his outer robe. Like her previous bout, she faced another Makashi duelist. However, the fact that multiple competitors were using a dueling form in a dueling tournament was not wholly unexpected. In that, she hoped that her experience in her previous fight against Feng Huang might prove beneficial here. Still, the finer details of his presentation did not escape her attention. Among the most notable was his longer lightsaber, and the advantages that would confer in terms of reach and control.

Venlana settled lower into her stance. Her fuchsia-hued blade was angled forward in the Ataru stance, pointing toward Jace's chest. However, her weight remained on the balls of her feet, so that her legs were compressed like springs.

Then, she moved.

Her first step was toward him, a sudden, explosive closing burst that ate half the distance between them in less than a heartbeat. Her blade remained low, angled back, and uncommitted. Then, the instant her lead foot touched down, she cut hard to the left in a tight, explosive lateral step that carried her two meters sideways. Her trajectory curved around his forward line of sight, moving her from his centerline to a position just off his left shoulder.

She landed at his left-side perimeter, potentially within the effective reach of his longer blade. If all went according to plan, it might be too close for him to bring his extended weapon to bear without a major adjustment of his feet and guard.

Her strike came immediately, lashing out in a sharp, compact left-handed thrust from an off-angle position. It was directed at the outside of his lead thigh, a low-line attack intended to exploit the possible blind spot of his forward stance!
