- Major Locations:
Celeste
Ruled by the Royal House of de la Fontaine, Celeste is neighbor to Solis, its adversary in the west. The Capitol, Eaux Saintes, located on the Holy Lake, is a holy city and one of the smallest in the kingdom. Filled with pilgrims who come to pray in what is considered God's home and collect water from the Sacred Fountain located in the heart of the city, Eaux Saintes is a busy place. If lucky, some might even catch a glimpse of the Queen or receive her blessing. Due to the sacred status of the Capitol to the citizens of Celeste, Eaux Saintes is well protected with the area around the lake being surrounded by high walls of white stones and the city defended by holy knights.

Solis
Ruled by the Royal of House Laevinus, Solis is located to the west of Celeste. Its Capitol, Castellum is a fortress located deep in the mountains thus, making it a difficult to penetrate stronghold in times of war. A medium sized city that was built to compliment its location, the city's defenses makes the most out of the mountains that surrounded it, taking advantage of the higher ground the mountain location offers. In addition to being the Capitol of the nation, it is also a holy city in its own right and many devout in Solis brave the harshness of its terrain to visit the city. In fact, due to the difficulty of the journey, many citizens of Solis celebrate their coming of age by undertaking a pilgrimage to Castellum.
POPULATION
- Native Species: Ivelissi (Ivelisse's variant of humans), various mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, and amphibians.
- Immigrated Species: Chiss, Peroenian, Shorak, and various others.
- Population: Moderately Populated
- Demographics: Primarily inhabited by the Ivelissi, the planet is also home to a smaller number of immigrated species. As with any planet dominated by a single species, racism is not uncommon on Ivelisse, however, as the Ivelissi become more exposed to those from other planets, they are becoming more tolerant of foreign species. In addition to this, racism on Ivelisse is not limited to those of other species as the Ivelissi can also be racist to their own especially to those from different nations.
- Primary Languages: Galactic Standard Basic
- Culture: A planet comprised of many different nations each with their own leaders, the Ivelissi's cultures are rich and diverse. Though many cultures exist on Ivelisse, the dominant ones are the cultures of Celeste and Solis - the two warring superpowers.
The Kingdom of Celeste's culture revolves around the Goddess of Life, Vie, while their neighbor, the Kingdom of Solis have adopted the God of Destruction, Letum as their deity. The two nations, both devout to their respective God that guides them, hold their monarchs in high regard - believing their actions to be the will of God and thus, take their leader's words as gospel. Because of their devotion to their Gods, those sensitive to the Force are reluctant to use it as they view it as a holy power reserved only for royalty and the holy knights that guard them.
Their devotion to their respective Gods aside, the Ivelissi of Celeste and Solis both have a strong warrior culture, training their teenagers irregardless of their gender to become soldiers in preparation for the war that loom over the two kingdoms. Additionally, during the intermittent decades of peace, the Ivelissi of both kingdoms are hard workers, striving for the betterment of their individual kingdoms in the honor of their Gods.
GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
- Government: Monarchy
- Affiliation: The Iron Empire
- Wealth: High. The production of machines of war keeps the economy healthy due to the kingdoms of Celeste and Solis investing heavily in the industry thus, making it a lucrative venture. Additionally, as the royal families of both kingdoms chose to have companies located in their realms or allied nations produce their military technology, a majority of the money invested into the industry remains in the planet and in the hands of its people.
- Stability: Medium. Dominated by two warring states bound by an ancient grudge, Ivelisse is in an endless cycle of destruction and renewal. However, during the precious decades of peace, both kingdoms are said to flourish under their leaders who are thought to be the embodiment of their respective God. Furthermore, as much of the population of the two kingdoms are devout believers of their religion, the crime rates in Celeste and Solis are usually quite low.
- Freedom & Oppression: Ivelisse is comprised of many nations each ruled by their respective leaders so the freedom of the Ivelissi differs from nation to nation but in general, the inhabitants experience a reasonable amount of freedom on the surface while in truth the streets of Celeste and Solis are full of spies. Both kingdoms, each distrustful of the other, plant agents within their own borders as well as in each other's, ready to strike should the situation demand it.
MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
- Military: The military prowess of Ivelisse varies from nation to nation with the kingdoms of Celeste and Solis at its apex. Both kingdoms are well fortified with heavy defenses concentrated at their borders as if expecting a sudden declaration of war from the other. Due to the wars that occur at least once every generation, both kingdoms import military technology from around the galaxy in conjunction with their own research in hopes of besting the other on the battlefield. As a result, most of their advancements are in ground and atmospheric military technology and thus, their work on starships pales in comparison. Concerning themselves with only the wars on the planet rather than beyond, their fleets are rather lacking when compared to those of other planets with a similar level of technological advancement. Additionally, the Ivelessi fleet are defensive rather than offensive in nature as their role is to defend the planet from invaders.
- Technology: On par with the galaxy.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Said to be descendants of the Goddess of Life, Vie, and her husband, the God of Destruction, Letum, the royal families of the kingdoms of Celeste and Solis were once one. One nation. One family. One heart. And the reign of the early kings, peaceful and prosperous, an example, that unfortunately could not be followed by their descendants owing to the birth and survival of the twins of calamity.
An ancient queen, her name lost to time, passed shortly after birthing a pair of twin boys much to the despair of her husband who loved her dearly. "Please... let them... live," were her last words to her beloved - four words that would become catalyst of the misfortune that was to follow. "I promise..." the grieving king replied, his hand wrapped around his queen's. Honoring his deceased love's final wish, the king ignored tradition and raised them instead of drowning his newborn sons in the Sacred Fountain.
Equal in every way except one, the Crown Prince and his twin were the best of friends in their childhood, but as years passed and the pair grew older, a seed of envy sprouted from the younger of the two who began to resent the difference in power between their respective positions. Identical to his brother in every way, the younger brother felt slighted that he did not have an equal claim to the throne to his twin and departed their homeland under the pretense of studying cultures from different nations in order to become an adviser to his brother. On his own for the first time, he traveled from nation to nation, covertly gathering support for his claim to the throne and bided his time, waiting for his father's passing before he his return.
With the death of his father, the younger twin sent word to those who supported his claim to begin their attacks against his homeland, engaging it in a long and devastating war until his brother finally relented, dividing the kingdom in half so the bloodshed would cease and the pair would be equal at last. Unfortunately, this peace was not to last as the descendants of the twins would renew their hate with each generation and continue the war, squabbling over what each of their respective kingdoms were entitled to.
This hatred between the families have endured until the present day as the wars between the two kingdoms persist, putting the two kingdoms through a never ending cycle of destruction and renewal.
