Private I've Heard Rumors

The Eternals got themselves a new ally. Another Sith Lord to add to the ranks wasn't anything Alina wanted to ignore. The more power they had, the more likely they could topple the other powers and take control. Too soon for her to contend with, at least. So she left on her own, announcing her arrival to wherever this Sith Lord called home. No point in a knight summoning a Lord and make a possible enemy, right? That's what she told herself anyway.

Alina hovered in orbit, simply awaiting permission to land. Then she could talk and see what exactly was going on.

With Sharan's ties to the Sith firmly re-established came much in the way of preparation, not least of all the hassle of moving into a new home. The estate was quite lovely, certainly, though there was a lot left to do. Only the most essential of rooms had already been furnished and decorations such as art pieces were still a bit too far and few inbetween for Sharan's tastes. At least her study was all done.

It was also exactly where Sharan was, lounging in a particularly comfortable chair with a book in one hand, a glass of wine in the other. While her servants were busy making sure the estate would be to their master's wishes, she had the opportunity to do some reading. Or, at least she thought she did, until the holoprojector on her desk lit up. With a sigh, she set down the wine glass and opened the connection. Seeing which of her servants was on the other end was enough for Sharan to know what it was about.

"Unexpected visitor?"

"Milady. We received the request to land from one lady Tremiru. Confirmed Sith connections."

"Curious..."

A short moment of silence fell before Sharan continued.

"You may give permission to land. Send my personal guard to welcome them. Armed, but please, no hostility. Lead them to my study."

"Right away, milady."

After closing the connection, Sharan picked up the bookmark from her desk and placed it inside the book, then put it away. As she glanced outside the window, she could see her two most trusted Sith guards making their way towards the landing pad.

Alina only spared a glance to the guard walking her. More curiosity than anything else. Who they were. What their blood smelled of. Alchemical monsters given human form like her own House Guard? The scent of unnatural metal denoting cyborgs? No scent at all? The possibilities were endless. And with them, of course, game the subtle planning of an escape if things went south.

They shouldn't, but she hadn't survived the Sith being blindly trustful of strangers.

She stood outside the study once they arrived before letting herself in. Whether the guards protested or not, this was as far as they were needed in her mind. A proper Sith Lord was going to be a threat on their own. Head high and golden eyes gleaming she offered a small wave once she did see Sharan. Flashed a grin.

"Hello, dear. Shall we discuss politics right away or have some pleasantries?"

She walked in without an invitation, then frivolously used the word 'dear' to greet her. Sharan could overlook small trangressions of traditions held up between Sith, but this was pushing it, and they had only just met.

Not the best first impression. Then again, facing disrespect was nothing new to her.

"Miss Tremiru," Sharan responded calmly while her guards followed her in. They were never to leave their master alone with someone who could potentially pose a threat.

"I see no problem with getting down to business. I do ask for the respect one ought to give a fellow Sith, however."

Alina raised a brow, but her smile never wavered. She never did like Sith who clung to the present of mutual respect. At least, not the Sith who demanded it. But a request? The Sangnir plopped down in a seat, simply nodding her head. She could abide a request. Especially when the other Sith in question technically outranked her.

"Very well, Miss Maeval." She leaned back comfortably, letting her eyes close as she felt around the room. More to find hidden threats. More than the obvious guard. But something rather interesting caught her senses. More specifically, her nose. Her smile widened for a moment, briefly. Was Sharan hiding just how strong in the Force she was?

"Why has Empyrean taken you under his wing?

Alina would sense no traps, for the simple reason that there were none. Beyond the two guards at the door, there was nothing to be mindful of. They were not to be disregarded, however- they possessed the strength in the Force that Sharan lacked.

"I do hope your goal today was not to interrogate me," Sharan pointedly replied. She really was not in the mood to have her time wasted. "As a sign of good will, however, I will reveal that Lord Empyrean and myself have history within the Sith Eternal." That was all that would be given away.

"Now, I would like to move onto the politics you wished to discuss. What brings you to my estate?"

"Simple questions for simple answers, that's all." Apparently Alina was wasting the other woman's time. She just let out a sigh and slouched back in her chair. Well, whatever. "I heard you yourself couldn't use the Force. As someone who also couldn't, I wanted to speak with you. How much of an alliance you have with dear Empyrean would affect that. I've little interest in making nice with those who follow the beliefs of the Eternals blindly."
