"I can already think of a few combinations. You can get mud pretty easily by mixing earth and water." Shan nodded to himself, rubbing his chin as it seemed like the idea of mixing the two together was an interesting idea.

"...Quicksand could also be a possibility. If we include the wind, we can some kind of sandstorm going on. A lot of vision obscuring." The Mirialan shook his head afterwards though, turning his attention over towards Kahlil and giving his master a small smile. "Of course, if those ideas seem good to you, Master."

"Jedi are strongest when they work together. The limits are only your own thoughts, so yeah. Work together. There's a lot you might not think about alone after all." And it was a good chance to see just how much they might distract each other. That was, of course, always the biggest problem when it came to Jedi working together. Emotion getting the better of them.

"You won't know what's a bad idea until you try it, anyway."

"Mud…" Colette said and nodded before she pushed back on her feet. "We can make that. Easy peasy."

She extended her hand towards the water to push it just a little to further break its rest. Colette began to shape and form the water as it swayed back and forth. Eventually it rose out of the water like a very small pillar that she put in front of Shan.

She was straining just a little, but the exhilaration overshadowed it.

"Throw some dirt in it." She said and motioned her head towards Shan.

Shan nodded at Kahlil's statement. That was something that he had remembered Kahlil telling him when he first became the Noble's padawan. A Jedi was always better working alongside someone, as opposed to being a single individual.

He had to focus on what he was going to do next. As much as he wanted to just focus on Colette, learning was always going to come first. His main goal was always to try and learn more. He had to get better, to protect the people he cared about. He had already failed that once, and whilst he knew he'd probably fail again, he didn't want that to happen anytime soon.

So with that, the Mirialan's focus went to the ground as he tried to lift a small clump of dirt. Raising it up through the air as he took in a few deep breaths, and let the clump float into the water pillar, to let it start to become mud.

Alright, water and earth… Mud!

Colette focused on the water for a while longer before she lost her focus and unknowingly began to shift it onto the mud instead. At least for a little while before she noticed as such herself. Her eyes went wide in surprise. That was new. Not unexpected, but new.

And then, she started to think about how they had shaped the mud and how it was spinning, and why, and…

One thing lead to the other. The mud ball began to sputter out in all directions. It flung mud at her and at Shan and every other direction as well before it all just kind of collapsed in the grass. Now, had Colette been someone who cared much about what they were wearing — say, Corazona — she would have perhaps scoffed and felt rather indignant about the whole thing.

But she very much was not. A mud-eating grin spread across Colette's lips and she began to smear the mud from her face and throw it to the ground.

"Well. We learned how to make mud." She said and laughed before she noticed that Kahlil had moved away. Smart. "Wait…" She said and began to think. "Could this be used to make pottery?"

"Like, we mud it up, shape it together, and then use fire to sort of… harden it?"

Shan was faster to react to the mud ball that Colette was. Reaching out his other hand to stop the mud being flung in his direction, a strange sensation coming over at the action. The mud felt...different compared to the Earth. Earth was rigid. Strong. It was solid. But Shan could feel the mud dripping slowly but surely onto the ground...and onto his shoes. Well, luckily he wasn't too concerned about making a mess of his clothes.

"Using fire to harden it could work...but you could also just drain the moisture from it as well." Though that wasn't a thought that Shan wanted to entertain too much. Draining something just sounded wrong. Especially with the way that draining moisture could be weaponised against living beings. A small frown spreading across his face at that thought. "...Though using fire sounds better to me."

The Mirialan sat himself down at the mud, frowning at it for a moment as he tried to regain his focus. "But we could potentially also do plenty of other things. Whilst we could make something like quicksand, it'd be possible we'd also be able to remove it. Taking away the liquid and the solid and making them into one again..." Shan rubbed his chin, as he was going into his usual overthinking. "Of course...whatever we'd remove would be the same as to whatever was added...It would be an equal exchange. Equivalent Exchange..."
