- Surprise!: Quite deceiving for a lapel or a hair pin to suddenly have a advanced shielding system to bloom from it.
- Barely a breeze: The advanced shielding protects against a lot of the major weaponry usage types across the board.
- Um.... thats it: Once the shield is activated, the person has ten seconds to gather themselves and prepare for the shields to power down. While it has high defenses against just about anything thrown at you, there is a very short window in which it will protect you.
- Turn on... please!: Once activated, the ten seconds you have expends a lot of energy for a very small device. As such, it takes just about 2 hours for the shields to recharge to be anywhere near effective again.
- Last Resort: This shielding unit is used as a last resort more than anything else. Massive attack coming your way, and you know your armor or gear won't help you? Turn this on, and hope that it can hold up.
- Preemptive strike: With the pins and the lapels being used with shielding technology, should an EMP or ion weapon strike it, the shield will loose all of its charge, and cause you two wait two hours for the recharge time. However, if the shield is on when the EMP or ion weapon strikes you, it will drain the shields faster over the ten second period. Making your ten seconds drastically shorten to barely a few seconds.
Ever get in a situation where you are wearing little to no armor, and someone decides to just fire a mass of bolts at you, or strike with a lightsaber? Its very difficult to defend against these when you are unprepared. As such, these designer styled Lapels, and Hair pins can be worn by anybody. Simply activating the shield will protect you for a period of about ten seconds before the shield shuts off.
However, watch out afterwords. The rest is left up to you on how to survive. This is a last resort tool to be used should it be necessary. A long two hour recharge time, as well as ion weapons severely draining the time the shield can be up.
