Italicised Text

I've noticed frequently that whenever I italicise some of my text in a post, the italicised words don't appear. Is it just me?

• Browser: Chrome; I'm not sure what version.
  
  
  
• Severity: This is the only account I have posted with so far, so I only know that italics do not work while I am 'casual'.

After editing the post to add in the links, the italics showed up all of a sudden. This post will contain italics as well to see if it just starts working after an edit for whatever reason, or the first post just so happened to work out. Oh yeah, italics. Oh, baby.

This has happened for me on occasion, as well. I think it's specific to using the BBcode for italics in normal posts.

For blogs and account profile pages, however, I've noticed that italics never work.

It's been confirmed by [member="Tefka"] that italics do not work in blogs.
