It takes a Galaxy to raise a child, The tales of Ryker.

The Echani listened to the conversation between the boy and her fiance. It was actually kind of sweet. They seemed to understand each other. Rawnie knew only what Lorane had told her about his childhood. It had been hard. Harder than hers. At least she had been able to rely on family. Her eyes settled on the boy. He had no family. He had no one to take him in. To teach him, care for him.

"Well! Order what you want then. No need to be hungry right now."

...Or ever again.

+He felt like he could eat a bantha whole....So that's what he ordered, Roast bantha kibabs with wumpa fruit on the side. He didn't even care that the waitress had given him a foul look when he ordered....right now with these people he felt happier than he had in welll forever. And as he waited for his food only one question bounced around his young mind.....+ " Rawnie??? What you mean when you say me not be hungry now or ever again?"

Even so she just hung back just listen until she knew that it was her turn to speak, as she knew that there wasn't much she could do if he had latch on but to watch and make sure these wasn't the bad guys to pretending to act as if they was all good and what not. Being around the galaxy a lot longer then these to much younger ones, she was full of wisdom.

Even so "Are you getting enough to eat little one, Ryker

[member="Ryker Wyldemane"]

" Uh huh....is very good " +he spouted around a mouthful of food before swallowing and taking another bite with his sharp little pointy teeth, Not able to remember the last time he ate so good. " Me was super hungry now me feel full though " +it wasn't surprising that he was full since he'd eaten at least ten kibabs and several wumpas+

Lor had forgotten about the kid's abilities as a Force user. In his mind, he'd already stopped thinking of Ryker as a 'space wizard'. It was more like watching a little Togruta version of his childhood self. But, he assumed that the last part of the question the kid asked Rawnie had been from her thoughts.
"She means... Finding a way to keep you fed."
Of course, he'd already come to the same conclusion as Rawnie had... Was there a way they could keep the kid?

" Oh otay Lor, And around here food not always easy to find " +His tiny shoulders gave a shrug, brushing off the thoughts of how he normally got food, And quickly sinking his sharp teeth into the roast bantha kibab+

" So where does you and Miss Rawnie lives at Lor? " +As always his curiosity got his better+

She was looking at Lorane now, trying to read his face. He knew what she had in mind, right? He had to know that she simply wasn't able to leave him behind now. It just wasn't in her. No matter how poor her clan was, Rawnie could always work harder to ensure they could take care of stray children.
She ordered no food, instead choosing to just sit and watch the boy eat as much as he could. She was trying to see how much he was capable of eating. How much had his stomach shrank? That would give her a small idea of what kind of shape he was in.

"Sometimes we live on his ship. Sometimes we live on Mandalore," she answered, locking eyes on Lorane, "They... take care of children on Mandalore."

Slipping into the cantina, Ella selected a booth nearest to the Chiss, the woman, the Jedi and the Torgruta. To keep her cover, she ordered a Gizer Ale. The light blue cup of alcohol was delivered, just as she overheard the boy talking about being hungry. He was a curious little man. She sensed that he had not lost his hope. At least, not yet.

She had an assignment. The boy had to be taken in. His Force-sensitivity was something that needed to be nurtured and guided, before he became a very grave threat or worse. The Jedi Knight decided that she would allow the boy to finish her meal, before introducing herself. She felt no hostile intentions from the Chiss or the woman that had accompanied him and the Torgruta. Their care seemed to be genuine. They were good people.

So, Rawnie was definitely with Lor on this one. He could tell by the expression on her face when they made eye contact. A little smile made its way onto a corner of his mouth when he looked back at her. Even if he couldn't stay with the Tal'verdas, who was to say a kid couldn't be happy with them? Taking Ryker with them seemed like the only option, whether he'd be adopted as a Mandalorian, or by the two of them personally.
"It's kind of cold where we live on Mandalore. Lots of ice and snow... But the village is nice."

+Smiling happily as he ate and listened, the young one plucked a small piece of bread from his plate and dropped the tiny piece into his pocket as he continued to gnaw on the roast bosk. " Me never seen snow before Lor.....is it pretty? " +He'd heard of snow and even tales of planets covered in the stuff, But you'd have a better chance of watching Yoda grow to six foot tall than seeing snow on Tatooine+. " At least it's not hot like it is here. " . +Chuckled the boy as he let out a small burp and covered his mouth embarrassed+. " Etstuse me "

+Just then his lekku began to tingle causing him to look up to the young woman who had just entered the cantina, The same girl who had been following them earlier. His curiosity screamed at him to find out everything about her and why she was here, But for now he would just wait and see what happened+

"It's beautiful," Rawnie answered, staring down at her lap, "The snow comes down in big thick flakes that stick to everything. The trees are always covered in the stuff from autumn to spring. When it gets warmer in the summer, the snow is wet enough that you can pack it into little snow balls. The kids in the village play a game. They throw them at each other and try to avoid being hit themselves. I used to play it too when I was a kid. With my brother."

She smiled again, looking up to her fiance. He was thinking the same thing as her. She knew it. She saw it behind his glasses, in those red eyes. She saw it in his smile.

"Do you..." How to say this? Was there ever a good way to ask a kid you just met if they wanted to be saved? "...Do you want to see for yourself, Ryker?"

+His tiny eyes widen in excitement and he nearly drops his kibab as he squirms happily in the booth....+ " Can me really Rawnie?!?!? Me wants to see snow and play games, and see your village" +....The boy stated all at once before finally taking a breath, his smile threatening to tear his tiny face in half at the thought+.

" You hear that Lor? Me is gonna gets to go with you and see SNOW!!! " +The boy grew silent for a moment before asking honestly.....+ " Can Toki come too? "

Lor grinned back at the excited little Togruta and patted his head again.
"Yep! You can play in the snow with me and Rawnie... But, um... What's a Toki?"
He looked around the direction they'd came, wondering if there was another kid he and Rawnie had somehow missed.

It was almost pleasant here. The crowded atmosphere and cycling patrons were a useful screen for Nasro to relax behind, with so many other people drawing attentions away from him he felt comfortable.

He spent his time slowly tending his drink while scanning the throngs of people that wormed their way around the cantina. Looking for any sign of the being that had advertised the sale of droid software in the bar's personals.

Eyes roaming over the patrons entering, he had spotted a familiar looking hat wearing midget. Grimacing and spotting the rest of the small Togruta's entourage Nasro fought with the looming sensation that leaving would be in his best interest.

"I really don't want to deal with having to escape whatever follows these people, but I really need to see if I can find that droid vendor here." weighing his options Nasro quelled the rising urge to pay his bill and leave as the group surrounding the Metal Capped Togruta sat a few booths away. Their proximity allowed him to determine that it wasn't a midget but a child, and it looks like they were feeding it.

"what's with these people bringing a child to a place like this...more importantly why are they feeding it? Don't they know it won't leave them alone now?" Nasro contemplated while returning to scanning the bar, noticing that yet another force user had slipped in the front door and taken a seat near the Togruta crowd.

"Huh she's hiding it well. Seems like my hunch was right then. this will be either entertaining or end horribly."

Taking a few minutes to plan an escape through the back of the bar if things went poorly and resumed scanning the patrons looking for the droid vendor.

+As Lor asked him this Ryker quickly reached into the pocket he'd been placing bread into and pulls out the small blue Lizard and places it carefully into Lor's hand with a giggle+. " That's Toki, Him is a baby Krayt Dragon " +He wasn't actually sure what Toki was but he had always wanted a Krayt Dragon to raise+

Rawnie had thrilled by the boys answer. If she timed things right, they would be back just in time for the beginning of spring! That was when things really got active in the village. That was when the children started to spend more time outside, playing in the snow, practicing their skills with knife and bow. Some of the older children would be receiving their first rifle too around now. It was a great time to be home.
And then she'd see her brother...

Her eyes went to the blue lizard and a thin white eyebrow raised at it. Lizards were creatures of heat and sun. Two things that were very much absent in the Tal'verda village. But what was she going to do? Tell the boy he'd have to leave his little friend behind? Rawnie could be pretty hard, but she wasn't heartless.

"Sure," she answered carefully, "But it's best if he stays inside where it's warm enough for him."

[member="Ryker Wyldemane"] [member="Doctor Azure"]

A baby krayt dragon? Well, that would be an interesting pet to keep. And, despite Rawnie's worry about the little creature dying in the cold, it would be more than able to survive once it got bigger. He watched the blue lizard run around in his hand, chuckling a little. Of course, his training as a doctor kicked in a little.
"If he's really a baby krayt, maybe I could feed him some meat or something. That's what they eat, after all."
He smiled at Ryker and tapped him on one of his lekku.
"Well, kiddo, we'll see what else you can do. You ever seen a holovid before?"

Taking small sips of the Gizer Ale she had been served, Ella listened to the conversation ensuing between Ryker, Azure, Rawnie and Maya. With the aide of the Force, Ella did not detect any hostile intentions from either the Chiss or Mandalorian. Despite this, her mission did not allow for the Torgruta to end up anywhere other than in the care of the Jedi, due to his Force-sensitivity. Prevention was better than cure and Ryker would be safer in the hands of the Jedi, than anywhere else.

Now was not the time for Ella to intervene, however. She wanted to see what the Jedi Master would do. The mysterious master, whom Ella had not been aware of coming here. Who was she? All would be revealed in time. Patience was her tool.

Turning her gaze away, Ella turned it slightly, as her senses picked up something. Somebody was watching her. Strange. With the hairs on the back of her neck rising, Ella indiscreetly began to look for the person was looking at her, whilst simultaneously trying to tell what their intentions were. Would she sense any hostility from Nasro?

" Me has a cage for him and everything! " He was excited as ever as he smiled at Rawnie and the turned to Lor to listen to him. " He likes meat lor.... Is bugs made out of meat?

The boy shook his head as as it began to hurt slightly, his lekku tingling a bit as he turned his tiny eyes towards the young woman he thought followed them here from the refugee shuttle, But then bounced right back to Lor. His smile never left his tiny face as he nodded quickly to Lor. " Uh huh, Me and Toki know how to sneak into the holo cinema over by the droid shops. " He was happy, Happy to have found Rawnie and Lor, And definitely happy to finally be leaving Tatooine.

Rawnie was stunned at just how quickly Lorane had jumped on this adoption thing. He seemed so excited, so eager to guide this child. It made Rawnie smile at him from the other side of the booth. He would be good to their baby, she just knew it. And now little Galaar would have a big brother, if all went well.

But something was bothering her. Something she was having trouble placing. A weird tickle in the back of her mind. That feeling you get when you know someone is standing just over your shoulder...

"Lor'ika?" she asked softly, "Did someone follow us in?"
