Λ Youth
Kaigumo was born on Serenno, twenty-eight years ago, during a calm and silent dawn. The Kaigun family belonged to the nobility of the planet since several centuries now, a younger aristocratic family, but an aspiring one with equally great ambition and tradition. The family had several children, usually with age gaps of two years. A save succession was one of the highest priorities for the head of the family, Iso´s father.
Born as second son and third child, Iso got the same education as his elder siblings, his younger siblings would get the same attention as well. They grew up in a protected household, but not shutted away from society and other people. Though the contacts the children had were noble children as well, chosen and only by permission by the parents of course. The siblings developed close bonds between each other in their early years, but the emotionality in these relations was not acceptable for thir father. By separating their lecturing and teaching, the family was not in itself divided, but provided a professional and formal relation status for everyone. The children knew who they were and how they had to behave - they were, by all means, strictly teached in that regard.
Ω Early Education
Except for learning the family tradition and heritage as well as the etiquette of nobility, Iso was teached many more things as well. It started with only basic languages, mathematics and history but soon expanded to politics, economics and military matters. Their studying was very strict at the beginning, everyone was getting the same attention, topics and content. Again, the family was focused on maitnaining a healthy and outlasting dynasty. Though it was not only studying of mind which was focused, physical fitness and combat were part of the training schedule too. Not as focused, but still teached to be able to defend him- or herself.
As soon as Iso turned ten years old, the schedule was absolutely focused on certain topics. The teachers and lecturers had watched his progress and were estimating and assuming his biggest talents based on his personality development. The three big rulership subjects occupied most of his weeks now: Politics, Economy and with the biggest focus Military. Iso had proven a talent for the latter and due to his natural intelligence could work with the first two as well. A talent for understanding people´s tactics and strategies was helpful for all three topics.
Advancing for two years with these subjects, Iso was soon outsmarting most of the teachers and lecturers hired by his parents for him. His parents still beign very protective, it took them long to agree to send him off-world: to Anaxes.
On Anaxes
Cadet Kaigumo was put into the first year cadet class in the military academy of Anaxes. He was accepted into the academy due to his parents gifting some, like a lot of, money and because he was trained to pilot already. The introvert and silent young noble prospered and developed in the academy. Being among equals and like-minded young teenager of the same age, he could for the first time in his life freely live his own philosophy and personality.
The studying was easy for him, though he spent much time with simulations and reading old tomes to get the utter most possibilities out of every course he was attending. His eagerness was equally the centre of several, friendly jokes of his fellows, but also a remarkable note in his instructors books and reports. He was not an exceptional talent, not a military mastermind and genius, but his diligence and interest let him grow bigger than himself.
While it was a military academy, the conditions for his attendance were to join political and especially diplomatic courses as well. Kaigumo did so, but with less eagerness and splendor than the military part of his education.
During his semesters at the academy he started to develop his own kind of strategy and tactics, it was not unique, but still special. In wargames he was basing his general approach on a very well established spy-network and very detailled plans. The plans, if discovered or pre-assumed by the enemy, would usually end in failure, due to their accuracy. The accuracy did not allow much organic or fluent changing or editing. Yet the planning was often exceptionally flawless and centered around surprise attacks and the idea to eliminate the enemies operational capabilities in a single strike or battle. His simulations actually had the highest success when being outnumbered.
In his military exams he graduated as second of his year, while in the political ones he was the seventh.
Strengthened by his own personality, academic success and ambition, he ignored the request of his father to return home.
In Imperial Services
Unwanted by neither his father nor mother, not even by his siblings, Kaigumo, now Lieutenant, signed up for the Imperial Armada of the Sith Empire. Doing his service in the navy, where he felt most comfortable and most capable. Starting his service in a fighter squad, his piloting skills had improved quite a lot during his time in the academy, he was working himself up to become commander of his squadron soon after. Gathering combat experience during several missions and conflicts, the young man was then, surprisingly, requesting a reassignment.
His request was granted and his serice continued in the operation centre of a capital ship, a carrier. The time before as a squadron commander as well as his time on the carrier should become the most influencing years of his service till today. Commander Kaigumo, specialised in complement and weapons, swfitly catched the attention of the ships captain. His exceptional handling of squadron tactics, especially fighter-bomber combinations as well as swift targetting transmission made him known among the weapon and squadron officers.
As commander he did not had much influence on certain aspects of the navy, except for detailled reports and several attempts to catch an ear of a supreme staff individual, he wasn´t successful. Kaigumo was, while at the academy, part of the testing and trial program of several fighters as well as simulations for warship designs. It was very lucky for him that was liked by the engineers and could often work with them in his spare time, giving him some insight on ship building and their workings and especially the possibilities one had with the right resources.
The two years on the carrier passed with Commander Kaigumo being promoted to Captain and deputy commander of the ship. It was well deserved and his superior was actually working tirelessly to get him an own carrier-command. Not much later, he finally got it. Being part of a frontline battlegroup in the Sith Empire expansion zones gave him the spotlight and opportunities he needed and wanted. Doing an excpetional job, especially out-of-combat by drilling his complement crews to the point of utter exhaustion as well as utter perfection of every situation and sequence, his crews barely got a scratch from battles and usually scored overwhelming ratios. Yet there had to be replacements. And that was the first time he realised a flaw in his own system.
He was always training and improving a first-line crew and usually ignoring a second-line or reserve crew for the fighters as well as for his ship. Learning a valuable lesson for future operations and commands, he made sure that there was always a capable reserve for flight officer, deck, repair and maintenance crews and for the ship officers too.
With increasing renown as a commander and the attention of several superiors, Commdore Kaigumo was given the command of a carrier task force, especially put together for him. The effort, the eagerness, the work pays, finally. One carrier was a tool to show, to demonstrate. But a task force, a battle group, was an instrument of influence. He was the rising sun and he would glow as hot and bright as he can. His first goal was to give the battle group the same standard as his capital ship, to share his ideals and ideas with the single ship captains and squadron commanders. It was a work unfinished before he received a new order.
The new order actually confused and shocked him. He was with his new group for less than a month. His promotion was not even three months old. Now he was tasked, as brevet-Rear Admiral to take command of the Bonadan system, ruling it as its governor.
That was an unexpected turn of events for the twenty-eight years old Rear Admiral Iso Kaigumo.
