Strengths:
  • [+] Heavily Armed: Being one of those age-old Imperial Star Destroyers with only minimal changes in weaponry, the only noticeable changes are alterations to fit point defense weaponry onto the list. As it stands, the Imperial II-class has been and always will be one tug with big guns. Octuple Barbette Turbolasers tear into enemy capital ships while the smaller weapons turn attack craft into dust.
  • [+] Multi-Roled: It's a versatile vessel capable of fulfilling a variety of roles and completing tasks quite easily. It's a destroyer, able to duke it out with other capital ships. With its wing of fighters and attack craft, it can easily become a pocket carrier. And that Stormtrooper legion and ground craft can make it morph into an assault ship.
  • [+] Crew: This isn't a common strength in most vessels, but the Scourge boasts an extremely well-trained, disciplined, and experienced crew. Their morale, loyalty, and combat effectiveness is astounding. With this in mind, it's the rationale for them having access to advanced resources and fighters like the TIE/D and an elite Stormtrooper legion.
  • [+] Shields: The officers in command of the Scourge know their fire arc is haywire and that their fighters can't protect them at all times, so they opted to upgrade their shields. They're able to sustain a heavy amount of damage, but once they fail or overload, it's doom.
Weaknesses:
  • [-] Old-Fashioned: It's an old, archaic design. Some of those newer military academy graduates might know lots about it and be able to exploit known weaknesses. Other times other units will gang up on it with superior firepower, targeting key areas.
  • [-] Slow: It's a big, floating fortress. It's fast in terms of being able to go forward and backwards, along with hyperdrive speed, but it can't turn worth a hoot. To compensate, the officers typically rotate the berth of the ship in tactical scenarios.
  • [-] Fire Arcs: Almost every single gun of the Scourge is on the top. None on the bottom of the hull, none near the engines. There are a few pocketed batteries of turbolasers near the ventral hangars, though most of the fire is focused near the superstructure.
  • [-] Maintenance: It may have been produced recently and modern engineering breakthroughs have gotten rid of lots of mechanical errors, but this thing still requires a whopping amount of logistical and maintenance support.

Description: Behold, the Scourge. The scourge of the high seas, the low seas, the ladies, and the Rebels. It's an old-modeled Star Destroyer design dating back to the era of Palpatine and his empire's successor states, but the make of it has proved so well that even now they are still in service, albeit in lacking numbers. Given that, these vessels are typically found in the hands of the more creative, independent, and adaptable officers of the One Sith's cause.

In this case, it's Captain Hans Vaiden.

He was granted this ship on the eve of his promotion to Captain, gaining both the crew and the ship's resources immediately. It was a destroyer boasting a massive amount of weapons, ground assault abilities, and its fighter complement was unrivaled in terms of power and fear-striking awe. It's crew, totaling at 46,700 personnel is divided as follows:
  • Officers (9,235)
  • Infantry (9,700)
  • Enlisted (27,850)
  • Gunners (275)
Those numbers include the various fighter and support pilots, including the elite 182nd Stormtrooper Legion. Differing from many other Imperial vessels, recreational facilities provide entertainment to off-duty personnel and guest rooms can accommodate Imperial VIPs.

The Scourge carried a total complement of 72 fighters and bombers. These varied in terms of type as well, with most of them being the advanced TIE/D defenders, accompanied by two squadrons of TIE/IN Interceptors and a single squadron of TIE/sa Bombers for surface assault and blowing capital ships out of the water.

In short, the Scourge is the renewal of an out-dated vessel, modernized to current standard, and serviced with furthering the Imperial cause through force and fear of force.

Anything submitted to the factory is subject to the rules of the factory. Canon ships over 1,000 meters that have modifications made, as this one has, will still need the same ten post development thread that all other ships over 1,000 m require.

Thank you.

Hangar: TIE/D Defenders (36) TIE/IN Interceptors (24) TIE/sa Bombers (12) Lambda-class Shuttles (4) Sentinel-class Landing Craft (12) Delta-class Stormtrooper Transports (15) Gamma-class Assault Shuttles (2) Repair and Recovery Vehicles (Variable number) AT-AT Landing Barges (Variable number) AT-AT Walkers (20) AT-ST Walkers (30) Prefabricated Garrison Base (1)
The maximum hangar size for squadrons present in ships for the factory 3.0 for Destroyer-class vessels is 6 squadrons, looking over this you are at just over 8 transport/starships and 5 vehicle squadrons. I need to see this reduced in some capacity to achieve the absolute maximum hangar size.

This is essentially the canon load out, albeit I swapped out some Lambda-class Shuttles for more Sentinel and Gamma-class.
I'm willing to drop those two down, but nothing else.

As mentioned above, all submissions that are made to the factory must follow the rules, templates, etc, that other submissions must follow - whether they be canon modifications or not.

The hangar count can be extended by changing the ship classification to a Dedicated Carrier (to 10), such as a Planetary Assault Carrier, but by no uncertain terms will a destroyer be passed through with a squadron count above 6. If you do not wish to adjust this as per factory standards then this will be denied. I highly suggest you use what is available to you.

Below is a destroyer's hangar as per the submission template.

Hangar: (Please provide the amount of fighters this submission can hold in it's hangar by count of Squadrons, which hold 12 average Starfighters. The higher your squadron count, the lower your Armament and number of Special Features should be. This submission's Max Squadron Count: 6. Optionally, Feel free to provide a list of names for your squadrons, like the notorious Red Squadron. Alternatively, you may swap squadrons for Vehicles or other items of note, or even provide a standardized load-out.)

Bigger ships can accommodate more Armament and more Squadron Count, but will require a development thread once you pass 1,600 in length -even if generic.
