PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

As the daughter of a distinguished Duke, Irvine wears loosely fitting robes that keep her sufficiently covered, while allowing her tattooed limbs to be seen. Her pallid complexion allowing the black patterns of ink to be seen clearly, complimented by equally inky black hair, accented with red dye. Her eyes are usually a fiery yellow, not the yellow of one consumed by the dark side, but the natural yellow that many of her kind have. She is both tall and slender, her musculature demure and lean, boasting elegance and refinement rather than raw strength. She wears her dark hair long and loose, usually falling down her back in thick locks that somehow always seem to behave themselves. Her posture is impeccable and she moves with poise that is rivalled only by those of senatorial status in the Republic.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Irvine is arrogant. She was raised to inherit a Dukedom, raised to dominate swathes of people, command armies and revel in victory over her foes. She was trained in the was of the Dark Sorceries of the Force. She's powerful, and she knows it. She is as confident as they come, utterly unfazed by most obstacles or challenges, and doesn't allow herself to show effort even if she has to exert it. To her, appearance is everything. She has to look infallible, appear indomitable and she has to win. Failure is not an option for her, because if she fails then the illusion she works hard to maintain will fall apart.

What few people are likely to see is that Irvine has an acute inferiority complex. She measures her success against the success of everyone who came before her, her brothers and sisters, her parents, her grandparents, her predecessors, her peers and rivals. Everyone. She is utterly terrified of not being enough, of not reaching the same heights that everyone else she knows have reached. At the end of the day she will never be satisfied, and will always strive for more. Whatever accomplishments she may have under her belt she will never consider to be sufficient, she will always think to herself that someone else has done better, so she must do better. And all of this she hides behind a facade of bravado and hubris. Pretending that she is great, ultimately seeking validation and praise from those close to her, whose approval she desperately needs.

STRENGTHS

  • Sorceress: She spent her whole life studying the Force and its more esoteric applications. Anything from Force Alchemy, to the manipulation of living tissue, to pyromancy. She is one versed in Sorceries that few other force users even consider.
  • Learned: Having lived with her nose in books and scrolls, she knows much. She is dangerously intelligent, and she applies that intelligence to everything she does, frequently outwitting her opponents like it were a chess match.

WEAKNESSES

  • Delicate: She studied sorceries and the force. She spent nearly none of her time studying the blade, and only sufficient physical training to maintain her slender figure. She is not particularly strong, nor particularly skilled with a blade. The natural spryness of her species is all she has to fall back on, and will almost always be used to gain distance rather than fight up close. If she's locked in melee, she will invariably lose.
  • False Arrogance: With her facade of bravado and arrogance at the forefront of everything she does, she never allows herself to back away from any challenge, no matter how hopeless it may be. Failure is unacceptable, but even worse is what she perceives as cowardice. She will frequently choose pride over life, a very dangerous tendency.

HISTORY

Born to a Skorn Duke, Irvine had a comfortable childhood. Her parents were harsh but good, demanding that she meet high standards that she constantly strove to meet and exceed. Her childhood wasn't particularly interesting, just a long gauntlet of study and betterment of her skills and knowledge. When she turned fifty and came of age was when things began to go wrong. Her father was slain in battle by a rival Duke, who then pressed into their fief and began to take over her home. She was forced into exile, else she would wear a slave's collar, and she, along with her mother, sisters and remaining brothers, went into the galaxy to forge a new life. They found themselves in a galaxy that required them to fight tooth and nail for a place in it. Where they would go was unclear, their future was likewise unclear, but they work to survive nonetheless.
