SPECIAL FEATURES

Onboard
Deployable
Stealth:
Strengths

 • Deception: Through a smokescreen, various holographic systems and light absorbing cells the ship is able to mask itself to some degree. While by no means invisible those systems make it possible for the Irrlicht to create holographic images mirroring its weapons, making it unclear which is a real target and what is simply a decoy

 • Fireworks: When in doubt the Irrlicht makes use of its most prominent feature, jokingly called "Fireworks" by the crew. These fireworks consist of unleashing a swarm of decoy missiles, using simple lights to imitate fired lasers and releasing any means of electronic countermeasures built into the vessel. While this has little use when attacking an enemy, it comes in handy should the ship ever get into a situation where it has to flee from combat, or buy time for allies.

 • Terror: The Irrlicht was always meant to strike fear into the hearts of others. From its shape to the various decoy systems, flashing, ghostly lights to a whole lot of smoke, the vessel does make an effort to seem like something straight from a horror novel.
Weaknesses

 • Fragile: The Irrlicht is old. Very old. Since its original creation almost all systems have been replaced or altered in one way or another, making them prone to malfunction even when taking only light damage.

 • Energy Consumption: The Irrlicht's systems eat up a ton of energy. Not even half of them can be used at the same time, leaving the captain to decide if trickery or firepower are needed.

 • Limited Stealth: Despite the various bafflers and scramblers installed into the vessel, the Irrlicht's ability to hide is still lacking. Due to its extreme energy output there is no way to truly mask its movement besides turning off anything besides life support and solar sail.

 • Trickster Decoy is a single use tool
Description

In underworld circles the Irrlicht is not unheard of, but only as a myth. It's creation predates the clone wars, a prototype project planned and paid for by the notorious Black Sun. Since these days the ship has changed its owner countless times, each of them adding or altering parts of the original ship until the latest version met the light of the current age. While few know if the ship truly exists, those who do probably know of the secret auction where it was bought by an unknown buyer, leaving the ship to fade into obscurity once more.
Only recently has the ship once more returned to haunt the galaxy, under the command of dangerous pirate and slaver Causstik Rahn
