SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Environmental Protection: The Iron Legion began on the inhospitable planet of Lotho Minor, and are well equipped to fight on other worlds just as dangerous.
  • Designed Visage: The uniforms are not only to standardize equipment among soldiers of the Iron Legion, but also intimidate those who see it with nearly every soldier looking identical to each other.
STRENGTHS
  • Protection: Armor was made to protect its wearer, and the soldiers of the Iron Legion have fair protection from the more common forms of damage they may encounter in battle through te design of their uniforms/armor.
  • Environmental Protection: Soldiers in the Iron Legion are expected to perform on inhospitable worlds of various types, and their armor allows for that through being sealed from the outside when fully equipped and the respirator system.
  • Internal Regulation: In order to fight effectively in different environments, the armor of the Iron Legion maintains a constant temperature for its wearer to be comfortable enough to focus on the fight but not so comfortable they would be relaxed in battle.
WEAKNESSES
  • Recognizable: The Iron Legion have their armor and uniforms designed to stand out compared to other armies as a way to uniquely intimidate their foes, but can also make targeting members of its ranks easier compared to others.
  • Scrounged Materials: Many pieces of this armor are made from salvaged metals from the wastelands of Lotho Minor, or other cheep means of acquiring resources, means that some pieces of this armor has variations with its strength.
    • Due to poor materials commonly used for the armor, some pieces may be weaker than others despite the average performace of this armor.
    • Hard to say which armor is made from poper materials and which is not.
DESCRIPTION
Upon the fall of the Eternal Empire within the Unknown Regions and Outer Rim, many worlds formerly under its rule were left completely alone. In the case of Lotho Minor, what was once a forgotten junkyard world was being turned into an industrial manufacturing powerhouse while also being a hub for cargo transport within its region of the Eternal Empire's space. This independence through neglect threatened to undo all the progress if not for the swift and draconian actions of the sitting Baroness at the time, Rear Admiral Katherin DuPorcelen. The Imperial subsidized company of DuPorcelen Logistics became the new government of the world as a means to preserve order and prosperity through a mixture of corporate and military dictatorship.

As a means to secure this order, the soldiers of the Eternal Empire's garrison soon became the DuPorcelen Iron Legion. The Iron Legion would be tasked with defending the DuPorcelen Logistics Corporation as well as acting as a defense/peacekeeper force for Lotho Minor. As part of the draconian policy-making, a policy of conscription saw the ranks of the Iron Legion swell through forced recruitment of Lotho Minor natives so that the severely outnumbered Imperials could still keep order. The uniforms were designed as part of this beginning time. The design of the uniforms of the Iron Legion, both soldier and officer, would be designed to shield the wearer from the harsh elements of worlds like Lotho Minor while also creating an intimidating visage for those who may face against the Iron Legion.

The first pieces of armor used to equip the soldiers of the Iron Legion were made using Duroplast and other materials scrounged from the wastelands of Lotho Minor. Other materials were traded for using the corporations ties with other former Impieral worlds. Thus, while the average piece of armor produced for the Iron Legion would allow for ample protection from the more typical types of damage encountered on the battlefield, some pieces are still prone to the flaws of the poor materials used from scrounging from the wastelands. However, this armor has now created the image of the Iron Legion through it outfitting its numerous soldiers.

In present times (as of this post), the DuPorcelen Iron Legion has been tied with the forces of the Empire of the Lost as an army to be used on the toughest worlds or toughest missions the new Empire's military will need accomplished but cannot devote regular troops to. However, the jurisdiction of authority was given to Katherin DuPorcelen to the worlds of Desevro and Chandaar. For that, more opportunities for recruitment and manufacturing of supplies for the Iron Legion became possible. However, much of the resources at the corporation's disposal, even with this backing from the Empire of the Lost, much of the materials to produce new pieces of armor and uniforms for the Iron Legion's soldiers are still sourced through cheep salvage and trade.
