Iron Giant

NAME: Iron Giant (A nickname she assigned herself upon becoming a mercenary, possessing no audiable name anyway)
FACTION: Hrosha-Gul/Horde
RANK: Mercenary
SPECIES: Resu (Terrestrial) Cyborg (Via Techno-virus Mutation)
AGE: 18
GENDER: Female
HEIGHT: 4 meters tall with 2 meter tail
WEIGHT: 440 kilograms
EYES: N/A
HAIR: N/A
SKIN: Pale Silver
FORCE SENSITIVE: No

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(+) A Mechanical Monstrosity - Since her transformation, Iron Giant now possess an armored shell comparable to her former heavy armor, and strength incomparable to any ordinary human. She can lift nearly three times her weight (roughly 3500 pounds, or roughly 1.5 tons).

(+) Resu strengths out of water - The Techno-virus "blessed" upon the Resu didn't do a whole lot of actual change beyond fusing their former survival suits to their body's and strengthening them, as it incorporated Resu biology into its weaponization. As a cybernetic organism, the Resu possess tusks and a jagged mouth for crushing victims unfortunate enough to be within melee range, claws, and back spines. Additionally, they may now uses his tusks to arc his bio-generated electricity.

(+) Infected- Iron Giant and other Techno-beast Resu converts possess a poison in all of their sharp parts, that if in contact with living flesh in excess, will begin the conversion process of the Techno-Virus.

(+/-) Still Biological- Despite being dominated by machinery, Iron Giant is still a Resu, and thus possess her old Resu tendency's and former cultural beliefs. She is also still biological, and has a need to eat, breath, and reproduce, and the machinery has made a few of those things a bit more difficult. Luckily for the Resu race, due to Stone Hermes intervention, she has become the only successful Resu Female to retain fertility after the transformation. She is now considered by him, as a soon to be Brood Mother of all Resu.

(+/-) Former Master Weaponsmith- She used to be an avid mechanic, though she is probably going to be neglecting that skill now as a Vong convert.

(-) Hydrogenated Water- She is still largely depended on the safety of the hydrogen tanks located on her back, and the liquid water beneath her metal armor to stay alive. Because hydrogen is highly explosive especially when compressed, this proves to be a major weakness if exploited. Additionally, if her armor is pierced, it is tantamount to bleeding out.

(-) Vulnerable to EMP's- Because of her technological domination, large electromagnetic pulses will severely cripple Iron Giant for a time. The damage done can be repaired however in a period of time. The Techno-Virus will repair the damage by utilizing biological substances and alchemically altering it into mechanical replacements. This significantly drains her vitality, but in the end if he survives everything is repaired and restored.
(-) Limited vocabulary- Not really a good negotiator in the slightest...
(-) She hates repetition- To ask her to maim something twice, or you might be the next maimee...

BIOGRAPHY:
‘Iron Giant’ was no ordinary child to Resu parents, on a terrestrial planet outside of the main Realm of Resu. When she was hatched from beneath her mother's powerful underbelly muscles, and released into the feeding frenzy that was birth to all Resu, she was not the strong or the dead, or even the scavenger. She was the odd one, the one that probably shouldn't be alive today. She was a bit too slow comparatively to the rest and because of it she had been bitten by her hungry mother, and although injured remained alive, forgotten by her parent's blood lust to chase down the swarm of her newborns. Because of her child hood injury, it was expected that she would never amount to anything.

However, she is what is known by Resu society, as an "early divergence". The divergence that was described, was the point at which a Resu becomes independently thinking from the rest of their siblings. This normally occurred sometime later when the rites began, and their gender began to set in. However, because of her injury, she quickly became unpredictable to society as she was now on a path that was different from the one her siblings were leading as a communal conscious. While they rushed, she became tactical, choosing just the right opportunity to take what she needs to live. During her fathers return after the infants birth, many of her kin rushed to steal the meal, and as they ate the child (still wounded and becoming hungry) waited for a 'stealer baby' to attack a fellow Kin. That is when she swooped in and stole the meal while her kin fought.

When the survivors attention was redirected at her, she left and allowed the infant to pass, too weak at this stage to fight. No, she was not the strong, the fast, the scavenger, or even the dead, the injured fish was actually the cunning. She repeated the process until she had her fill from the collection of carcasses, and though it was behavior of a scavenger, it was done not with brawn but with intelligence. It might seem strange for outsiders to believe that a being hardly an hour old could diverge so quickly from cultural standards and think up its own nature in the matter of a short time span; but the Resu were different from the creatures of the galaxy, and being this strange feral intelligence granted them this incredible flexibility.

She did however manage (quite well actually) passing her Rite of passage into becoming an adult, just after she became female at the age of 11, as an early bloomer thanks to her divergence. She became quite the able soldier, despite her scarred tail. She was too wounded though to effectively fight, and although she did for the first year serve on the front lines, she eventually fell into a support position as a weaponsmith. She churned out an uncountable number of weaponized tusks for the front liners, and reserves troopers, while she carried out a pack full of these much needed weapons.

She faced boredom though, as he increasing expertise and talent was wasted on repetitive chores. Thus, she then simply decided she was no longer making weapons. This refusal to comply to the unspoken laws of compulsory military service in family vendetta, was reason enough for her to be banished entirely, turned into an outcast. It didn't end there though, where most outcast's simply die of shame or something else, Iron Giant did not. This was a time of change, where ships importing new technology's paved the way for Resu outcast stowaway's to exist. She was one of these stowaway's, and eventually stole the ship, disregarding the dangers of leaving behind the pilots with limited hydrogen supplies. She forgot them though, as they were no longer of importance to her.

However though, she had no idea how to fly. It took her a whole month to figure out how to operate the basic controls (a fairly long time in Resu terms). Once she had it figured out, she told the ship to land at various ports until she finally landed in Fish hell- Tatooine. Through a series of events, this is where she was first introduced to the SSS, and this is where she decided to settle, as she had no where else to go. With nothing more than a basic translator, she was no more than a power armor brute, or common thug. However though, with human help she is fast gaining skills in the development of better and better equipment suited to her taste. Though the translator is still fairly simple, the rest of her suit is becoming bigger, more threatening, dangerous, and recognizably associated with the quickly rising name Iron Giant, the mechanical one-woman army Mercenary.

But as the SSS went into a decline, the Resu Mercenary had to find somewhere else to find home. She had a lot of time on her hands to figure out how to pilot her Freighter, as it is difficult to do so when you have no teacher that speaks your language (or can for that matter) or a teacher that understands the technology her people use, as in the Thermal and electrical signals that indicate various things about the environment outside the Freighter. But she became adept enough to find her way around, and fell into the territory of the Hutt Cartel. She was quickly criticized, and of course the linguistically and culturally inept alien was unable to understand. The relationship was initially hostile, and it left a bad mark in their relationship. She floated about there for a bit, officially weened off the dependence of the SSS, but she wasn't happy with her current 'home'. That was when she eventually met a woman who called herself Ori'vod, and her crew. Through her, she discovered the Vagrant Fleet. A traveling band of outcasts and Galactic travels. Instantly she knew where her home was.

When finally the merry band of the Vagrant Fleet broke up, she decided to hang around with her good friend Jorus Merril as his ships personal body guard. Unfortunately for her, she would learn once again all good things come to an end...

SHIP: Iron Giants Resu-Class Freighter

BIOGRAPHY: This small little orange droid was made out the surplus supply's that Iron Giant had on board, with the help of fleet member Jorus Merrill, she was able to make herself a droid that would keep her company in the long voyages that would come in the future. He wasn't that difficult apparently for Jorus to make, as he merely took a spherical frame, took a verbobrain stuck it in, applied an optic sensor, and some limbs, and it was done (minus Giant's addition of the coating). Latter though, it would have to be adjusted to fill in certain needs of Giant, applying several types of programming into the droid to fill all roles of a class three; just building the droid was the simple part, but modify the droid's programming was another.

At first, Iron Giant seemed to be fairly hostile, or uncomfortable with the droid, and spoke to it minimally. She had named it the Companion Orb, as she did not see the value of its (artificial) sentience as something more than a simple play thing, and thus had little appreciation for what Jorus had done for her. When it fulfilled the function of assisting Iron Giants translation (which wasn't known at the time), she was angry with it; believing it was mocking her. When it explained what it was doing, and Jorus confirmed, she began to appreciate the little thin a bit more. Seeming as she did not answer the little droids question, as to what it should be called, for relatively unknown reasons, it chose for her to call him C.O.M.O., as Mark One of the Companion Orbs. Iron Giant was sufficiently impressed by the droid requesting a name, that she added its name into her translator. Now the little Orange Orb follows her where ever she goes, assisting her in translating what she says, by inference the broken translation that Resu-Translators create. They are becoming fast friends, and harm to the droid will most certainly bring harm to you.

The below is a dead Heroic NPC. No longer in use.

Silver Sentinel
NAME: Silver Sentinel (A colloquialism he uses for others to call him; akin to a ‘nickname’. A shorter version of his name can be one of the two, but he is more commonly called 'Sentinel'.)
FACTION: Imperial Confederacy of Resu (Non-existent)
RANK: Ambassador
SPECIES: Resu (Terrestrial)
AGE: 26 (Veteran)
GENDER: Male
HEIGHT: In his suit, mechanical legs prop him up to a slightly taller than average human height of about two meters.
WEIGHT: 100 kilograms (150 kilograms inside life support suit)
EYES: No observable eyes, thus no color.
HAIR: Fish don’t have hair.
SKIN: Pale Silver
FORCE SENSITIVE: No

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Biological Strengths:
  • Environmentally Adaptable
  • Psychologically exposed to violence and death from the start of his life, thus has a greater resistance to the fear of death.
  • High Electrical Resistance (as little as 1000 volts to a record high of 1200 volts [can produce somewhere between 800 and 1000 volts)
  • Thrives in very hot, extremely hot area's
Biological Weaknesses:
  • Requires a life support suit to survive on land.
  • Resistance to cold is poor when unprepared outside of his suit in water
  • Short lifespan
  • No olfactory organs at all.
  • Exposed underbelly when not in suit and in water.
  • HUGE language barrier with aliens.

  • Warrior heart
  • Generally knowledgeable of advanced science’s (despite his choice to be an ambassador)
  • Hardened Battle Veteran, surviving 21 years of nonstop terror.
Cultural Weaknesses:
  • Easily provoked
  • Holds grudges very easily, and NEVER lets them go.
Personal Strengths:
  • Resu-style Melee Master- He is master of his former trade, if you find yourself in his waters, when fitted with his prefered weapons, he becomes your god, and you are at his mercy.
  • Strategic thinker- Due to his days as a master soldier he understands how to think critically, and can often come up with elaborate plans out of thin air.
  • A fair languistic interpriter (increased xeno-social skills): Being an Ambassador, he needs to grasp the culture of the people he is trying to negotiate with, thus he is fairly good at interpriting Basic, and giving a response that is more compreshensiable for humans and similar species to understand.
Personal Weaknesses:
  • Always unsatisfied- Sentinel has a taste for power and perfection, derived from his days as the prefect soldier, always being 'top dog'. He is a schemer, and what is worse is that his wife supports him.
  • Nostalgia- Sentinel misses his younger days as a legendary warrior, feeding his unsatisfaction in life.

SHIP:
Resu Ambassador ship. (A converted corvette fit for Resu life support. Basic civilian Hyperdrive, and no weaponary.)

BIOGRAPHY:
‘Silver Sentinel’ was son to ordinary Resu parents, on a terrestrial planet outside of the main Realm of Resu. The two individuals who proceeded in the ordinary court shipping, in which in the preseason his Mother raced, attracting a plethora of males, and his Father who ‘butted heads’ with other males, impressing other females. Then when the season came, it was his mother’s amazing speed in a race, along with her amazing size, her plentiful blubber, and her bulbous warm egg sacks that help her to win his father’s heart, along with her elegant claws that smoothly brushed passed him. His father wasn’t that bad looking either, his mother easily noticed his brawn, evident from his large tusks, larger back-spines, and elegantly long fins that produced lovely heat and a beautiful electrical song.

So then ‘Sentinel’ and twenty-five siblings were born at once with a crack of the eggs under his mother’s powerful underbelly muscles. This though, the very moment he had been brought into the world, was a violent fight for survival. He, like his siblings, fought against each other to escape their mother’s viscously hungry jaws. Sentinel was one of the stronger individuals of the pod, brushing past smaller siblings as his mother ate them. Soon then there were eleven of them who won the heart of their mother. Then their father returns from a hunt he had been sent on just prior to the unfamiliar chemicals in their mothers blood stream, telling her all eggs were ready.

He came back with five carcasses. Sentinel just as the rest of his siblings rushed in to feast on their own carcass, of which they had the instinct to defend their food. Apparently Sentinel had been particularly strong, being what is known as a ‘stealer baby’ that killed a defending sibling, and then was once again shown strength by fending off and killing another attempted stealer baby, defending his meal with vigor. Did it bother him that these children possessed many of the same behaviors and thoughts as he did? No, of course he did not; children weren’t entirely conscious, and as such killed without remorse, indifferent to the deaths of their siblings. Sentinel soon became one of the largest of the five remaining, and thus one of the strongest.

For the entire length of his life he had fought his siblings in a struggle for dominance, just as they did in the exact same ways he did. But of course this was a system of luck, as all the children of Resu were born to be the same, until morbidly changed by life through struggle. This was done easily with ‘The Rite of the Hunt’, in which pods of siblings are one at a time released into the wild to kill their own prey, that before they had relied on the team work of their sibling pod under the guidance of their parents, before they leave them prior to this Rite. As such the children would be viciously hungry, not having been feed for a day or two. It is then that the community takes over parenting, and initiates the children into full Resu adults.

The Rite was ordinary to the Resu as they often were, with only three survivors, including Sentinel. His first sibling failed the rite when not three minutes in the hunt the fool followed a prey into a bush of poisonous quills. His sibling survived impalement, but since the loss of the prey to a mistake, the child was shunned and ignored. It was not long, until death to the poison, and was then eaten by the carnivorous bush. His second sibling to fail (who was to become female), failed her rite when she seemed unable to locate a suitable prey for three whole hours, of which they ignored her. She eventually found a bite to chase, but the community ignored her still. She survived to become full fledge female, but only for a short while, as she had been recklessly eaten by a Giant Eel Dragon.

Sentinel though was an excellent hunter, and he chased his prey for something like ten minutes, winding through the ecosystem, and swimming at incredible speed, and swallowed the fish. He then bought it back and regurgitated it in front of his peers for them to see. Satisfied, they allowed him to eat it finally. Successfully completing his rite he became male, with prominent tusks that were the envy of lesser Resu, and a beautiful set of Fins, that produced an exhilarating song of electricity and huge flaring heat signatures. His spiny back too was admirable. It is unsurprising that he easily found a mate, having in the preseason a special brawn that caught himself in fights with as many as three opponents at once, impressing females for miles around.

One time though after once again besting a group of males, he felt three claws brush against his side, tickling him slightly with electricity all too enticing, having a very specific meaning behind it. Turning to ‘observe’ this female, he watched as she raced ahead of him very quickly, leaving behind a trail of heat, producing an arousing mosaic of heat through the water. Seduced by her charms he chased after her along with many other males, of which he brushed aside, and butted against them to get ahead. When finally he was able to court her alone, he examined all her traits. She was a hefty meter and a half longer then he was, and had a prominent amount of underbelly blubber, which held eggs sacks glowing red in infrared light, ripe to be broken.

They preceded to have their batch of children and preformed their necessary rituals. He then went off to fight in his families war, and rose to become quite the warrior, making his remaining children go into commas of awe as the stories were told, and eventually ‘written down’ on the electric orbs that they ‘read’ in school. He was what a human could consider to be a general, a mighty warrior who slew many enemy Resu, and is even recorded to have eaten a particularly weak force at least once. His already admirable fighting weapons where made greater with his melee mastery. He expertly impaled soldiers in all directions with his weaponized tusks, two lengthy metal rods extending his own natural length, and to ensure they died with nothing more than so much as a graze, they were tipped with poison.

Of course though, with all Resu he soon became a Veteran, and turned away from war. But for whatever reason he did not fit as well with the scientific community, unable to comprehend he was not ‘top dog’ so to speak. So he eventually turned to politics, and became the current family Kings top provider (just next to the kings own polygamous wife). He served by his side faithfully for many months (quite a long time in Resu terms). But even then he was not pleased, and so he decided King was what he wanted, and so then he did, he and his wife performed the proper rituals and rites, and succeeded the current families rule. At first Sentinel’s wife was cut off from polygamous practice’s simply because they did not feel they needed it, but then things changed. Sentinel was a King, but he was still under order of the current Imperial control. So then, he initiated his wife to engage in courting with other men, and forced them into being Sentinel’s lesser-kings, and eventually forming his own Empire. The whole ordeal was a bit odd, considering traditionally it was the Empress who was regarded as the one in power, manipulating her husband as simply a figurehead. Not this family, they mutually controlled the region, both of them made their schemes for power.

But alas, new things happened. The Hyperdrive had been solved to be practically used by the Resu, and he and his wife were allured by curiosity what might lay beyond the ocean of their home. So then it was Sentinel who had finally found his true calling, exploration, diplomatic relations, swimming in exotically foreign oceans. His wife envied him, but she was now recognized as the Empress, and they agreed she would be the one to rule while he was away, seeming as there was no other choice for the Empress. He had been initiated into an Ambassador of the Imperial Confederacy Council, and so his journey of traversing the stars began.
