Padawan Irella Toldreyn constructed her lightsaber under the close supervision of her former master after having retrieved her lightsaber crystal from one of the many caves on Ilum. The bulk of the weapon was constructed out of the strong material hybrid plexiglass that had been tinted black for decoration, making the hilt sturdy and highly resistant to blaster fire. It also included silver decorative parts and a dual-phase modificator with extra focusing crystals that gave Irella's lightsaber a second length that could be activated with the flick of a switch.

- Adjustable Length: The dual-phase modification built into this lightsaber allows the wielder to adjust the length of the blade to a secondary preset length. Irella's blade is able to go from the length of a standard lightsaber to a second length that is just shorter than a shoto, comparable more to the length of a long butcher knife, for precision cutting.
- Resistance: Irella made her lightsaber out of hybrid plexisteel as opposed to durasteel, giving it a higher resistance to blaster fire and making it lightweight as well.
