Invasion Discussion

Possible objective:

TGE has to capture a high-ranking OP NPC official, such as a Planetary Governor, both to maintain the illusion of normalcy by making him collaborate and to later use him for PR by claiming that he appealed to the Empire for aid.

What OP wants to do is up to them. However, if one side kills the official it will lose the point (if OP were to hypothetically decide on asset denial by terminating him, TGE could replace him and still exploit it PR-wise since OP definitely does not look stable then).

With respect to the work that's been done, Moira hit the nail on the head when she said that virtually all invasions become PVP slugfests. In my opinion, a centralized group with involved leaders (ie, TGE) probably has an advantage in an objective-less PVP 'brawl' over some arbitrary key strategic point.

As far as objectives, I like the idea of racing for control of the local holonet hub. Imperials want to secure it to lockdown their stranglehold on communications, OP wants it to find a way to boost the signal past the jamming the fleet has put in place.

Change in plans, we're invading the Sith planet of Liana, taking the shipyard, and claiming anything else we find there as ours. The OP invasion is still planned, but with the Sith Empire crumbling this might be our last chance to reach out and hit them.
