There was much chaos in the Imperial Confederation. It was not what they preached. They were the iron hand of order. This should bring with it dependable stability. Wars would come and go, resistance was something that would have to be dealt with. But two incursions from major galactic entities and an attack at the hands of an upstart rebellion was a bit much.
The Force had brought Mika to the Confederation at just the right time it appeared. Her old self would have hated all this action. Her responsibility was to ensure the health of order within the holdings of the Confederation. The new Mika Tai En was all about the chaos. She fed upon the instability in the people. The fear of what was going to come next. The conflict that was brewing. It fueled her continued desire for strength and power.
After lending a hand at the Republic incursion at Lola Sayu the Ruling Council anointed Mika with the title of Moff and put her in charge of the world Crucival. The old Mika would have bowed and taken on the assignment with noble intent. As the new Mika studied up on her domain on the way to take power she grumbled to herself, realizing this would merely be a steppingstone, she was meant for so much more.
A backwater colony world. The only attractive quality of Crucival in Mika's estimation was that it had been forged in war. That may have been gone since the end of the First Galactic Civil War, but people did not forget what conflict was. There was built in doctrine which merely needed to be resurrected. When she landed her ship she knew she didn't want these people to call her Moff. That would not be enough. Here on this planet she would be the Hieroprincess. She would lead like a goddess, create a constant state of conflict within the people of her planet. No one was going to attack here. Crucival held no galactic interest. On the planet her people would build her a palace. She would have a station placed in orbit where she would be Moff and do her Confederation politics from.
Mika was going to need lieutenants for both endeavors. As she walked the streets of Templemarch towards the agreed to meeting place, she could see the citizens…no her citizens. They were a boring folk. This planet needed to get back to what it had been for years and years. She would need to sow some distrust and cause some drama. How that would happen would come soon enough. These people were not prosperous enough to lie on their laurels. Mika would see them whipped into something useful.
But Crucival was not the endgame for Mika. She would need to have players of a much bigger game on her side if she was going to reach her goals of obtaining more and more power. There were many planets within and on the borders of the Confederation that were much more desirable than Crucival. She would play the game. Perhaps she would find some way to rebuild Tion. Perhaps she would come up with a plan to take Raxus and bring them into the folds of the Confederation. To do so she would need to do more than weaponize her peasants.
At the invasion of the Citadel on Lola Sayu there were rumors of a new knight that had made herself known to the Confederation. Mika was no longer in their ranks. She no longer believed in the noble traditions of the knighthood. She was going to achieve what her Dark Queen wanted for her. But the aid of a knight or two would not be a bad thing. Someone to marshal troops. Someone to keep Mika and her people safe from these attacks that had risen up all over the Confederation.
After meeting with the Ruling Council, Mika had done some research on the Citadel incident. She had watched security footage. She had seen the Twi'lek fighting. This was the type of being that Mika could use on her team. At the very least they could become aware of each other. In the future they could "serve" the Confederation together. Mika reached out to the pale skinned knight and requested a meeting on Crucival. Now all Mika could do was wait for Searal's arrival. Mika's steps came to a halt in front of the only establishment that had some sort of reputation beyond the planet's surface. A "cantina" known for being a bit more fancy than should be on a backwater planet. Mika smiled and strode inside.
