Introduced To The Force

[Mac-Man]

Somewhere deep in the galaxy in the outer rim is a planet that is part of the outer rim systems. From afar in space it looked beautiful, filled with life on the outside. Looking closer into the planet there are life form inhabiting it living their lives and minding their own as does one in particular. That one in particular a teen is seen walking alone along with the rest of the people there looking around as if he was looking for something. Soon he stops finally founding what he was looking for. A building that had people coming in and out with a sign on the building reading "Marbos Cantina".

The person went into the the cantina making is best not to grab attention to himself while searching the area until finding what he was looking for, a group of people sitting at a table playing some card game. He heads over to the table grabbing the attention of the people there.

"So are you the one that plays Pazzak right?"

"Well Well....looks like someone must of heard my skills." The other teen said."So you decided to donate your credits to a modest person like myself."

"All I just want to do is to play a game called Pazzak and I heard you guys are the only ones here in this city that plays it." The teen said "Well play the game with skill that is."

"Well I don't play for free. I'm the type of guy that to play the risk taker. So what do you have that your willing to risk."

The teen goes into his pocket and pull out some credits and puts them on the table. " It's 125 credits,You can count them if you want but I'm sure it going to be enough to convince you to play."

So it was that after his seem brief escapade out of the Jedi Temple in search of some much needed part for his ship. That he happen come across a seem interesting establishment. Where he figured make a quick pitstop before head back to the temple after gathering intel on the part he was look for from the locals. To maybe grab a few drinks and score him a decent ride back to Voss area.....

Waiting a few seconds for the person sitting at the table to finish counting the credits, the other teen looked at his Plazzak deck making sure that he got the cards needed for his match, provided the person counting the credits accepted the credit wager. The teen had recently put in some new cards into his deck and after using them against some other opponents before coming to this other teen. He won most of his game and made the adjustments to deck, method used in almost every card game.

"Okay then this will go I guess." The teen said grabbing into his pocket and grabbing out his chips. "We go best three out of five. Surely you can last at least three rounds while I use my cards on ya."

"Just don't try to cheat me in this game."

"And if I do,what are you going to do about it?" The teen said waiting for a response showing a cocky grin.

"Just don't try to cheat me." He said again "One of these guys...just great." He thought. "Are we gonna play or not" He asked sitting down on a chair across from the teen.

It was then after carefully scope out the place that he then made his approached. Entering thru the main door as casually he could and blending in with most the other patrons. At which time once inside he then began make his way towards the bar. Where as he did so that his eyes casually peered about as unobtrusive as he could. Using as little of the force over his natural sense as given the case there was no telling if or when danger would be found. Not that it matter not with his saber carefully tuck and hidden underneath the folds of his cloak. At which case after his brief training with Master Syn and few of the other Master who'd seem willing offer their assistance. That he sort got some but not all of his skills sort to a decent enough level of a padawan at best.

At any rate seeing no danger about he then reach over his cloak and drop a few cred on the bar.

"Glass of ale ...."

To which the bartender give him but a partial glance and think nothing of him. Casually reach over to get a glass and fill it up with ale. Before reach out to first grab his cred then hand him his glass to which he took in hand and taken few sip. As he glance over to the side and noted how a game had seem be heat up quite well on the sideline. Where in a stranger on his side approach him with a nudge to speak.

" So stranger not seen you round these part....and well....care put a bit wager? Kid seem be on a winning streak and i've been rack up a decent winning streak myself bet on that game ....thouth it seem my buddy here sort a sore loser so we kinda look see if we can maybe entice you pitch in? Join in our little bet......sort to say well....sweeten the pot so to speak?"

To which he then give the stranger a once look over he replied.

"Well....i don't know ....so what the pot up to now?"

Looking at the cards in his hand and then the cards on the board the teen started to think about his next move. In a game of Plazzk you must reach the number 20 without going over or at least come closer to it that the opponent. Each time a player turn starts, a draw a card from the main deck and play it on the table afterward the player could play their own cards from the hand into the table or not. The player is also allowed to stand and not receive anymore card in exchange they would receive no more cards and the opponent would keep on drawing the cards until they stand. The game ends when one player wins three sets.

A few minutes have passed with each of the teens getting one win each. As the teen who placed down the 100 credits draws
a card from the main and gets a eight in which he puts down on he table. Counting the five he drew earlier he now had thirteen.

"I end my turn." The teen said "Your move."

"Boy if you seen what I have in my hand you would want to just give up and let me take your credits."

"Sure whatever you say." The teen replied as he watched the the other teen draw a card and put it on the table. The other teen had a total of nineteen on the table." I'll stand for now." He said "Let see what the deck has in store for you."

The teen drew a card card from the deck and has gotten a nine making his total to be twenty-two.

"It looks like I win this set." The other teen said

"I still have to stand in order for you to win the set." He said as he looks at the cards in his hand. He thought about what to do next in his move. "I could win this set with the -two I have....but what would happen if I need the -two for later in the other sets against this guy? He haven't used a single card in his hand as of yet, I don't like the feeling of having less cards in my hand than his. But if I don't play the card then he win the set and would need one more set to win the game. He thought

"I don't got all day," The other teen said "Are you making your move or not?"

The other teen words broke his concentration as he watch him speak. After thinking about it he puts the minus two on the table giving him twenty.

"I stand and win the set." He said

"So you do chump, but don't think this is over." He said as he looks over to one of the people near him and looked at him for a few seconds causing the other one to nod and move."

"Let's continue shall we?"

It was then as he glance over at the game that seem been progressing on the sideline from where they were that stranger talk to him spoke.

"Well let just say...it's pretty decent without going into details so you in or not? Cuz well its not so much about the credit but let's say the game itself. As i recon guess the kid just maybe a decent player and all but ...."

He paused as from the sideline one the man from across them turn look and nod at one he was talking to. Before turn back to him and in moment hesitation continued on speak.

"...then it seem that is none of your concern now stranger . So it be best you move along stranger...."

At which time sense the strange shift in the air that he in turn seem turn glance over at the youth seated. As the conflicted thought came to mind as although part him wanted walk away as the stranger suggested. Another felt side felt compelled to stay as in back his mind something about the youth before him drew his attention. At which time with one hand slightly raised as if in gesture at the youth direction Ronin replied.

"Well then alright guess ...."

He then seem last minute slowly walk over to passingly bump into him and thought he knew it was a gamble. Given even he didn't know it was gonna work at very least he figured give it a try. Concentrate hard he could Ronin tried to connect subconsciously to the kid. Pass on a message thru the force into his mind.

'Watch your back kid....seem it's all gonna go down bad soon.'

The teen focus on his move as a new round started as he suddenly sat up in shocked as if something bit him.

"Ahh so you finally realize how F you are huh?" The other teen said. "You know your about to lose this card game and the credits to me admit it." The teen ignored him from the time being as looked around to see where it came from. "Was that me going crazy from being stuck on this planet?" He asked himself in his thoughts as he heard a slam on the table.

"Hey not all of us have free time." The other teen said "Are you going to make your move or not?" He said with a bit more bass in his voice.

"Sorry about that."

"Whatever like I care what you were doing I just want to win now make a move." He said a bit more demanding as the teen focused back on the game with the through still in the back of his head.

Drawing a card from the main deck and then adding it to the other cards he had the teen saw he had an eighteen while his opponent had thirteen. "I stand". He said thinking that he had a good hand.

"WHAT IN THE WORLD HAVE YOU DONE!!"

Screaming can be heard as the scream causes everyone to look over at the scene. The scene shows one person looking to have a drink on him while the other one was the same person the other teen make eye contact with.

"What going on here?" Said the bouncer who went over to the scene." Let's not fight here."

"This bastard spilled his drink on me!!" One of them said.

"Look..*hic* I'm so sorry *hic* I didn't mean to I didn't know where I was going."

"Well it going to cost you!!" He said charging at the man causing the bouncer to step in between them. While all this is going on the other teen at the table moves his hand with the cards next to his other hand as a device grabs a card and replaces it with another.

"Okay stop this now!! You get your ass outta here !!!" He said to the one that caused it as he moved him to the entrance.

"These the things people will fight over for.." The other teen said " But lets not let that stop the game let continue."

The teen nodded unaware of the change that happen.

It was then no sooner had he cause the distraction of make the drunk bump into another guy by the bar. Cause enough of a commotion that they all seem look the other way. As he slowly closed in hope to try disway the youth away before trouble began which he no less could sense. As he noted how the ones he was play with and those talk to Ronin were no less in league with each other somehow.

Which as he silently skim on the sideline watch them as things went down. That from the corner his eye he catch a glimpse of slight of hand that the opposing side was doing. That he couldn't help but smirk secretly as he passed by. Thinking to himself how it seem be the oldest trick in the book and just as well. He then slip his hand to secretly wave sideways as he passed. That he tried reach over with the force and yank at the secret device being employed to cheat.

As the game of pazak continues at the bar despite the previous commotion that happen a few minutes with the two strangers, both players played a few more sets. The game is now pretty close with the score tied two-two a piece with the teen unaware of the cheating that happen from the other teen. Both players need just one more set to win the match and takes the credits gambled from both sides.

"This is it, final set." The other teen said "Hope your to ready to lose this game and those credits because I'm gonna win this set." He added as he smirked. In his hand was a three that could be positive and negative and a five that was also a positive and negative .

"And what makes you sure?" The teen asks. "There a good chance that we could draw again. You seem pretty sure that you're going to win."

"Trust me when I say that I gonna win this set and I when I say those words I always win just ask the other people I beaten." He replied " And thanks to my friends especially the little one on my wrist, I'll always win." He thought as he went first in getting one card which is a eight. A few more cards later and he got total of 22 which is over the max number 20.

Realizing that he is over the teen looks at another person who responds with a nod and then began to scream : I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE REST OF YOU GUYS...BUT I'M TIRED OF THESE WARS!!! WHY CAN'T WE HAVE PEACE!!!

Once again everybody looks at the man the teen included and while he is happening the man tries to use his device. "I got you....wait a minute..." He looks down to see his device on his wrist and notices that something wrong with it." What the hell... the thing was working a few minutes ago how did it..." Before he finished his thought he looked away from the device hoping that the teen didn't see him.

"What is up with all these commotions?" He said as he looked back to the other teen.

"Who knows." He lied "But let me just finish this game with this." He put out the three from his hand onto the table. "I'll make this negative, giving me a total of nineteen. I stand." He said. "Your move but it's hopeless if you ask me as I got this won."

"Only one way to find out."

And so it seem thinking at first that his little ploy had not worked seeing it hadn't produced his intended effect. As the device didn't budge from where it had been carefully hid and instead. He notice a slight shift in the guys smug face as it seem though his action had an unintentional effect after all. As even though he wasn't yank the device off him he somehow broke something on it. Well enough that it malfunction and was put out of commision..

It was then seem soon after feeling a bit smug himself Ronin let a interesting thought passed his mind. As on the sideline a large Wookie passed by close to the play group and was about pass a small ugnot. Who he with slight push with the force trip and made the wookie topple over. And quickly rise up in a fit of rage as bad one would expect. As the old saying goes seem ring true....getting a wookie angry wasn't good.

And that before they knew it fight broke all round as chain reaction of events came down. In midst of it all Ronin sneak over close to the kid and lean over a bit spoke whisper his way.

" You deaf kid? Told yah ....beside guys been skiff you bad....so lets grab and go now......"

Now his turn. the teen drew his cards and soon had a set of cards that totaled to 17. Upon realizing this he smiled a bit as he has a 3 card on his hand. As he is about to play the card another commotion occurred causing him to stop just as he was about to put the card down.

"Damn it.." The bouncer said looking around the bar as he sees people fighting. "A part of me knew this a day like this was going to happen." He went over to one of the fights and go in between the people trying to stop the mayhem.

"How the hell this is happen!!!" The other teen said. " I never planned this." He thought as he began to hide somewhere. Meanwhile the teen move back a bit amidst all of the chaos until a man walked up to him. After speaking words to the teen he starts to put two and two together. "Wait you started all of this?" He asked how a bit angry then confused "Wait make you think he cheated"

It was then no sooner had the youth seem put two and two together after listening what he said spoke.

"Wait you started all of this?"

Which he then glance around a bit make sure the coast was clear that he replied back.

"Well hell no....well...maybe....... not initially but i did what could even the score so to speak ...Watch out."

It was then as things seem to start heat up that Ronin reach over just in time. Grab the youth by the shoulder and shove him down. Just as a table came fly overhead and at which time even without look at his face. That thru the force he could no less sense the youth anger and confusion as he no sooner blurts out.

"Wait make you think he cheated"

And he then notion at him to move to the side as a body come flying to land just inches from where they were.

" Well for one the hidden deck card holder conveniently hidden under one his sleeves. ....which i tried yank out expose the cheat bastard but ....* sight* i guess Master was right and i do need work on training on that a bit more.....but anyway. Like i said best that we get out of here as knowing their kind.....they won't be that easy deal with once the dust settles. As the cheeky little banta pooder not gonna take it lightly after all this ....."

As the chaos around him worries the teen he listen to the person explain how the teen was cheating. Once the man finished explaining to him a thought enter his mind. As the man suggested him to get out of the place two people brawl to the point to where one has on the other on the ground causing him to move away. "Fine let's get outta here!!" He lightly yelled now a bit sacred for his own safety. He grabs his pazzak cards and the hundred-twenty five credits. Meanwhile, the other teen looks at The teen getting his stuff and start to have a thought of his own. He clench his fist in anger but the anger is subsided and replace with his well-being as he looks for a way out of here.

Now having all of his belongings, the teen looks back over to the person who started the brawl. "You wouldn't happen to have a plan to get out of here do you? " He asked

It was then seem take long before Ronin sort appearingly convinced the youth that he was tell the truth. Which soon enough with the fight get closer to where they were and one the brawlers come awfully closer to him. That the youth seem not in need of any more convincing then turn him speak.

"Fine let's get outta here!!"

To which with a nod and adds.

" Good not if i may suggest you grab your gear before we get going then eh?"

At which time the stranger then reach over grabs his stuff along with few cred off the table before turn back to him speak. But before he does while he got his back turn away from him that Ronin take the moment to eye his opponent. Who then is seem clenching his fist at the youth in anger before with little bit luck or timing. Ronin reach out with slight wave his hand to then seem command a chair to land smack close to him. Too close for comfort that it snap the youth cheat opponent attention to attention. As his attention turn from anger to care for his own well being as the youth turn face him speak.

And he nods to reply back before motioning him to the side.

"Yeah come follow me out back....."

It was then that hunch low and use what bit of force ability he does have command of. Ronin guides the youth out back to what appear be a decent size room. Lock the door behind them and use one the crates to lock it down. He then stands up and look around see that the room appear be some sort of delivery room with just two ways in....one being the door they enter and another is a service door that now see be currently lock.

Meanwhile, the other teen, now having his own professions is heading over to the entrance of the bar in order to get out of the fighting that is taking place. Now almost at the entrance a thought went into his head about the teen and the stranger, a thought that made him think of him being the victim. He thought that they were both working together to cheat him out of the credits that he put up in that card game. He didn't had the full details on how it was possible but he knew one thing: The stranger is different from the others.

Following the stranger throughout the fighting, the teen focused on his own safety, hoping that he doesn't get hurt while following the person in front of him until he made it into the other room with him. "Well it looks like were still stuck inside here." The teen said noticing the lock." Unless you have a way of opening this door." He added looking back over to the fighting. "The fighting hasn't stop one bit. I really don't want to go back the other way so I really hope you have a plan on getting through that door."

"Well it looks like we're still stuck inside here."

It was then he hears the youth say just as he'd finish secure to barricade the door shut behind them. That he slowly move over to take a much closer look at the lock service entrance door.\

" Unless you have a way of opening this door."

At which time no sooner had he come close and take an initial look over at the lock that he replied.

"Yeah i reckon i do....though it'll been much easier if i've had time get the crystal during one my last trip. But oh well i guess there could be other ways to pop this one open. ..."

His words then were cut short just as in the background the noise from the bar floor began grow even louder. As it appear be escalating rather than dying down as one would hope but no matter. This seem not had escaped the youth notice as he all too easily came forth reply.

"The fighting hasn't stop one bit. I really don't want to go back the other way so I really hope you have a plan on getting through that door."

And he in turn grabbing a small device from under his tunic place it near the lock that he then . Rush back to pull the youth along with him in the process. At which time once he'd hopefully in back his mind figured. That once they were in the clear behind some the large crates. That he was gonna first try pop the door with the force if he could ....and if not well there was plan B. Already set into play just in case.....


" Well don't worry....we would be hopefully long gone before they either die down or come look for us...."

Being pulled along by the stranger the teen caused him to wonder what he was planning to do. "Please tell me you have a good reason why your..."He stopped speaking as he looked over at the lock on the door. "What is that on the lock?" He asked with a bit of fear coming inside him. "Please...don't tell your going to do what I think your going to do." He said now behind the creates with the stranger.

The other teen managed to make it to the entrance but as he does he turns around to see the damage that was caused. The fighting has started to become that of a riot with the bouncer doing the best he can to stop this or at least minimize the damage. The other teen couldn't really care though about that but he did cared about the two people that can't be seen as to why he turned around. He wasn't about to let them go as he felt he had that card game against the teen won. He finally went outside of the place and started to looked around until he spots what he was looking for.


He heard him say not to worry to which he replied: "Or that device you put on that lock could hurt us or worse." He said "I really hope this doesn't kill us both or me at least."

"Please tell me you have a good reason why your..."

It was then the youth said as he was essentially dragging him as quickly he could. Lead both to duck for cover behind some crates which just they did so. That the youth turn look back briefly enough to seem take notice of plan b. As he blurts out to add while Ronin was in the midst of prepare initiate plan a.

"What is that on the lock?"

To which with a sheepish grin Ronin just turn him casually to then reply. As the youth then adds.

"Please...don't tell your going to do what I think your going to do."

At which time glance round a bit and make sure coast was clear before replying.


"That kid is well.....back up...just in case as bit out practice so bit rusty at this. But then again worth giving it a shot or try i reckon...."

By which time he then make sure kid was safely behind him Ronin then darts his hand forward. Concentrating thru the force and use what he learned thus far about use the force. Ronin then slowly began to try grasp the lock and twist it in a way . That it shook slightly and partly broke before come to complete halt. At which time with his impatience get best him Ronin reach for the det control. Press it before push him back.

Hearing the answer to his question about the device on the lock the teen looked confused. "Back up..." He said not understanding what the person meant. As he was about to ask what he meant he notice the stranger doing something with his hand. He watched silently, switching between viewing the lock and him wondering what going on.

After a few seconds the lock starts to move, shocking the teenager who face said it all. "How are ...." He stopped midway seeing the lock now partly broken. The teen heads over to the door with the lock and examines it, grabbing the lock and seeing the part that broke. While doing this he began to think of all possible ways that lock broken.

"How did you do this?" He asked. " There no way somebody could do something like this."

"Backup..."

Was all the youth could utter before Ronin set about his plan which although was bit haphazardly put together at the spur of the moment. He no less went with it anyway......as with the noise from behind the door get bit worse than better. He felt it was now or never despite the fact he really didn't want out himself as a Jedi or was one on his way to becoming one in such a setting or place. Along with the fact this was not quite a sanction outing and was more like....something of his own idea. At which case as he began work on try breaks the lock on the door with the force in front of the youth who. Seem was still at a loss as to point that he came forth add say in the middle of his try hard concentrate.

"How are ...."

At which time seem oblivious to what was happening until very last moment when. He was all but grab hold of the lock and twist it a bit enough to partly break. Enough that he could maybe able ease it out by pulling it off the rest of the way by hand and that the teen stops. Head turns look at the lock and breaks free head towards it examined it with him then follow suit behind him. And as they did so Ronin then reaches out with the force raise a hand to take back the det charge to safely pocket . Just as the teen grabs the lock in his hand and exam to note how part of it appears to be broken. Even when he witness neither one being close enough to do it as he turns face him. A faint quizzical look on his face as he continued, in turn, speak to him.

"How did you do this?"

He momentary paused as if to collect his thought whine Ronin leans over to lay a hand over the door. Reach out with the force to try sense if the coast was clear behind the door.

" There no way somebody could do something like this."

To which as far he knew it was that he turn to the teen and replied.

"Well that and more I could do in time like the other i .....but as much want explain more I just can't right now.....have to ask for you trust me.....when I open this door we have to go and when we're somewhere safe I promise will explain and answer more your question. Now, you ready?"
