Into the Unknown

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
YXV69c9.jpg

The world was something that had been searched for, sections of its coordinates within the galactic map being recovered from the star charts they had discovered in ruins and the massive ship that she had been working on to Construct was traveling through the Nebula. The Library was a massive jedi mobile station that was filled to the brim with equipment, areas to train and discover. The star charts and coordinates as they were going through it and Matsu stood in the observation bubble. The crystasteel was clear so it looked like she was standing in space almost with a couple of the other jedi all around herself amazed at the sight of it. The prototype warship was going with them for escort protection as Matsu looked over it searching for the world with the force itself. She could see the nebula all around them. The world was in view, large and rather pretty with shades of purple, pink and red going over it when she was able to see it from the probes they had deployed. All and all there were eleven continents on the planet, that was including the two at the poles that were looking frozen over. The vast mountain ranges and sections of the world that showed deserts that thy had charted temples in. "Welcome all of you." Matsu hadn't just done this herself, she had come here to work wih the people themselves and give the silver jedi a chance to come with her if they wished it. There was a lot after all going into the efforts to explore this world that radiated with the force energies. "I am glad we have been able to get some who wished to come here and explore a new world."

Akio Diachi

For it was All but a Dream
Akio had, for once, not stowed away on this ship. He was a passenger, a rare treat, and since he did not know how to fly or have the credits to hire a ship out, he often found himself at the mercy of other pilots. What was he doing here, one may wonder? Well, exploring of course. His urge to go out and commit pilgrimages had led him here, to this ship, where he was given a chance to help find out things about this new plant.

How curious it is, the Chiss thought as he followed his way through this massive ship, that we have such a large galaxy, and life has been traversing the stars for so long, yet we are still finding new planets, new ways, new chances to discover. How wonderful it is.

The Chiss didn't know what was waiting for him bellow, so he came prepared, in his armor with his full armory and tools at his disposal. If there were hazards bellow, he would be ready for it. He took a seat in one of the shuttles that would carry him and others down to the surface. As they moved towards the planet, he folded his palms in his hands and waited patiently.

Lumi Snow

love, hope, and peace conquer all
It hadn’t been all that long since Lumi’s world had been discovered. What a strange and new experience it had been, hearing the others tell her that giant rocks were coming down from the sky! But she had known they were not rocks, she could feel the life in them. Feeling, since she was blind and could not see with her own two eyes. How strange that had been, and how she and her people had to learn the new ways that they were not alone in the galaxy.

And now she was here, to help see another planet into the galactic fold, as it were. She was extra careful to suit up and secure every port of her containment suit. It hugged her small frame tightly. The woman had such a weak immune system, one that was hardly existent, that there was no telling what pathogens there were that could contaminate and kill her. But oh oh ooh the chance to learn! A whole new galaxy to find, to discover, to learn about! She couldn’t pass it up. Science was her love, it was her zeal to learn the world that was hidden from her sight.

With Carl, her intern, not too far behind, the red haired doctor followed the stream of humanity and found her way onto one of the nearby transports. She sat in one of the seats, on the isle. As a final touch, buzzing with nervousness and excitement, she adjusted her breather, ‘Can you believe it, LAINA? A whole planet, a whole planet waiting for us to discover!”

“It is quite an amazing possibility, Mistress,” the AI said in her ear, “I suppose there are so many wonders, it must be a grand time to be an organic right now.”

“Tell me, tell me all that you see, all that there is,” the doctor said giddily, “I want to hear it all. Every detail, I want it.”

“Well, for starters, Mistress, you are sitting next to someone. A Chiss, he appears to be Force user, judging by his clothing and garb, a more esoteric user of their beliefs.”

“Oh goodness! Where are my manners,” Lumi explained turning to the Chiss, “Hello! My name is Doctor Snow, but you can call me Lumi.”

In the seat behind her Carl let out an internal scream, what was she about to get them into now?

"Mistress, he appears to be meditating, judging by his breathing and pulse."

Mabbik stood looking out onto the world through the window. The clouds seemed white and puffy even from this distance and stretched across what must be hundreds of kilometers. Letting a hand drop down to the curved hilt of his lightsaber he tapped it with a claw as he started thinking. Those clouds could be an issue if they were that large. Massive storms taking two or three days to pass could easily pause any activities they would do.

Turning his attention back to the world with the light of the purple nebula casting a glow over it made it look almost beautiful. The view from the ground would be spectacular especially with the star shining through the nebula and creating a bright glow. It would be almost impossible to see any others shining from throughout the galaxy unless in the northern regions.

"We may need a shield generator with those clouds. They could create massive storms and with the lack of light we will be in pitch blackness thanks to the nebula. Whatever wildlife there is will probably have impressive smell to deal with when the clouds and storms roll over for a few days. Possibly hearing or eyesight as well similar to a Kushibans if there are large predators." Mabbik said thinking aloud.

Matsu was looking at all of them and this was the library station, made for exporing across the stars and moving around with the jedi. It had strong shields but more then that it had size compared to many of the places when she spoke. "I assure you padawan we are prepared for that and from reports and scout probes the planet itself is very much normal... to a point. The nebula provides light and warmth this far out much like on Iego allowing the people to survive and the energies we have been sensing from it when within range show there is something strong on the planet itself. It is full of life." She was walking and there was plenty of room for all of them here, the library was ten kilometers wide and sailing through the depths of space here. Few thing were large enough to really smash it when they were getting into position and there were moons around the planet of different sizes.

Akio Diachi

For it was All but a Dream
Akio could feel the power of this planet pulling him, drawing him in. Yes it was alive not just with life but with the Force itself. It felt wonderful, and hummed with a gentle glow. Like water playing between his fingers, the Chiss felt the energy, fiddling with it on the fringes of his mind as they came closer and closer. He remembered feeling other Nexuses in the past, Tython, Korriban, and Degohbah, to name a few, they were always so unique, like different flavors of food on his mental pallet.

His light meditation was interrupted by the woman introducing herself. He opened his red eyes and looked at her with a slight smile. She was young, and vibrant, very full of energy. He nodded his head at her, "Hello, Lumi, my name is Akio. It is very nice to meet you."

He felt the ship settle, landing on the surface. Akio rose, gripping his supplies in his hands before he began walking towards the exit ramp onto the surface, "Are you with a Jedi? What brings you here?"

Lumi Snow

Lumi didn’t have time to apologize and retreat back to her privacy before the man responded positively to her. That was good, she didn’t need someone angry at her, and she certainly didn’t want to upset anyone at all. Behind her Carl let out a relieved breath. The last thing he wanted was to run into another looney like that Zeltron. What was his name again? Craxis? Braxis? Thraxis? Something like that.

“Me? Jedi?” Lumi giggled, “Goodness, no. I am just a doctor and a scientist. I am here to learn and observe. I love the galaxy and all things in it!”

She rose to her feet as fast as a whistle and began walking down towards the exit ramp, “If you don’t have anything, perhaps you could join us? We will just be exploring, seeing what we can find, maybe a new species, imagine that!”

“Uh, um, Doctor Snow, are you sure that’s wise?” Carl interjected fumbling behind her, ‘I mean, we don’t want to impose on this good man, and, well, he is an important looking fellow. I don’t think—“

His words were cut off by the scenery that stretched before them, even Lumi could almost see it though the humming swirls of the Force. It was strong here, and it aided through her blindness. All the same, LAINA began to describe what stood before them, but still it paled in comparison to the majestic beach that stood before them.

There was a lot, so many places that they would be able to go and explore down on the surface. The image of the world itself and the image of what could be down there as the different regions fo the continents seemed to be very beautiful. The coasts were like pristine areas you could have resorts and people would pay tens of thousands of credits to stay there for a handful of days. The massive library base was landing in the water and hovering as a massive city for everyone to be able to see for themselves. She was looking to work with them on more of it until they stuck around. Matsu going to the observation bubble while a boat arrived for them, one they had brought for themselves near the small ramp and it was hovering over the water so they could move and go across the oceans to the continent themselves. Join the advanced team that was down there when the blue green crystal clear waters. "It is very beautiful."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel suspected – but did not know – that a great deal of effort had taken place to allow them to get to the place they were now. The fact that there was the nebula here suggested this was effectively uncharted space. No doubt countless fragments of star maps and journals had been aggregated, reviewed and cross-referenced to get them to a point where the hyperspace jump was plotted – and even then it was something of a leap of faith.

As she stood there, virtually standing in space, listening to her Master. Despite being conferred the rank of Knight, she would always think of Matsu that way.

Eyeing the waters below as the library ship landed Mabbik turned and started making his way towards the rear of the observation area. His paws drawing and checking his curved hilted training lightsaber. Cutting a somewhat comical sight on back legs that hadn't evolved until relatively recently he balanced on his footpaws.

Shrugging and turning up the power so it would cause burns on any skin it touched Mabbik turned back. "Shall we go to the surface? Might as well get started and begin our cataloging."

Akio Diachi

For it was All but a Dream
Akio let his blue bare foot step on the sands of this gorgeous beach as he stepped off the shuttle. This was truly an amazing place, the air was fresh, clear, and clean. It felt strong like the very molecules themselves were humming with extra power from the Force. He could feel his abilities amplifying, higher than the had been before. He closed his eyes and drank it in. He made a note to come here later when he wanted to make more artifacts. Who knew when that could be handy again?

"I would like that," the Chiss said as he opened his eyes, "I have nothing of importance to tend to. I am just a Jedi looking to help make the galaxy a better place, one person at a time. No village, no person, no planet is too small to be helped." He smiled at the nervous redheaded pupil, sending a wave of calm to him through the Force, "I have no intent of harming anyone. I assure you of that."

He turned and began making his way down the beach towards the massive mountain like cliffs that loomed ahead. He could fee the Force drawing him there. What waited there, he wondered. Who was waiting there?

"How wonderful! Isn't that wonderful?" Lumi exclaimed, clapping her hands. "We can travel together, we can venture into the wide world and find out what lays inside!"

She was so excited the young, small framed doctor was all but dancing in her containment suit.

"Oh, right, wonderful," Carl muttered, feeling his dread ease a bit. It was still there but, eh more manageable. He wished now more than ever that Malintis was here, surely he could talk some sense into the doctor if anyone could. "I do have to say, Doctor Snow, you were right, this place is pretty nice. I wonder if we should consider setting up a beach home here or something."

Lumi began following after Akio, her stride was sure, confident, and brave. Her boots left imprints on the sand--but just barely. She was a very small fry. "I bet it is, this is a new land, untainted by the pollution of the galaxy. Hmmm, I wonder if we will be lucky enough to meet monsters?"

"MONSTERS?!" Carl shrieked in fear. "WHAT???"

Through the jungle surrounding the sheer-faced mountains they went and soon Lumi could feel life forms looming up ahead, "We are close to a village, I can feel it."

Carl groaned in fear, could this day get any worse?

There was a lot of work for them in this case when she was seeing the world. They had a lot of information and Matsu was going to it. Hell seeing parts of it as she was leading the way with the others and reached outw ith her senses for all fo them to come with her to head down towards the jungle around all of them. The city itself was in the distance and there were things off in the distance. She couldn't see it, she couldn't really hear it or feel it except on the edges of your senses. The jedi master was setting up a number of things when they started setting out into the jungle for all of them to see. "THere is something here, so be careful we shall stick together and search for anything of civilization. There is a lot of life signs on the planet and the force energies on the world itself is something of interest."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel fell in line with the others as Matsu led the way. As she travelled, she digested the information that had been shared and she was aware of the things her Master shared. And she expected that, like others, the Force was telling her things. Not enough that she could clearly discern what it was saying – but there was definitely an energy here and an abundance of life signs that, whereas they did not explain the energy, they most likely contributed towards it.

Sorel hung back slightly as her Master spoke and decided to bring up the rear. Being careful meant looking out for each other and so she took this position to keep the others in her sights. Nothing would sneak up on them as long as she was here. And to aid her sentry role, she regularly checked Force Sight to see what the Force shared beyond what her eyes could see.

Akio Diachi

For it was All but a Dream
Akio smiled faintly at the young boy's outburst and the woman's statement. They were so lighthearted it was almost comical to see them at work. He supposed they made a good team, balancing each other out. That was importance, balance after all. It was what kept the universe in homeostasis.

No sooner had she spoke than the Chiss rounded a boulder and came face to face with what lay between the sheer-faced mountains. It was a small, quaint village that looked like no more than five hundred residents. A hum of peace, tranquility and harmony seemed to emanated from within this village, one that was quite welcome after the usual hustle, pain, and darkness that seemed to fill every inch of the galaxy. He rested on his monk's spade for a moment, taking it in before he was distracted by a shadow that crossed overhead. He looked up and squinted against the bright sky.

It was hard to describe the massive beings that were overhead. Their flights were graceful, each one was a different size, but most looked to be from head to tail a handful of meters, their wingspan was impressive and even through the shadowy like appearance they had something was made quite clear--Akio's life just changed forever.

Lumi Snow

"It appears to be rather small, measuring no more than two kilometers in diameter organized in a criss cross pattern that belays extemporaneous and unplanned expansion over time. The homes are something of a primitive level, dating to approximately bronze age style. I am detecting some forms of electricity, however."

"Oh goodness, that is wonderful," Lumi gasped as he listened to her AI describe what stood before them.

"But that is not even the greatest part, Mistress."

"What is that?"

"MONSTERS!" shouted Carl pointing towards the shadows in the sky. "RUUUUUUUUNNN!!"

"There are winged avians circling overhead, they appear to be reptomamalian with scales, warm blood. I am detecting other life forms with them, riding as it appears to be, and one is descending to us now."

"Oh wonderful!" Lumi said clapping her hands. A moment later she could feel the wind on her face and feel the mental impression of the being with two others on its back. She was almost knocked flat by the windgusts on her small body as the creature touched down before them. Oh it was so wonderful, it really truly was, the scientist was in heaven.

Carl stood behind her whimpering and cowering, hoping he could live to see tomorrow.

"Oh stop being such a baby, Carl, everything will be fine!" she assured him with a pat on his red head.
