While he absolutely loved his grandson, Judah would have preferred the circumstances be different. Even if
Balun Dashiell
was unable to work things out with the mother, a working relationship would have been preferable. In his eyes this was a small repeat of his own history in a way - and a bit disappointing Balun hadn't learned from his mistakes. "I am sure Miss Terallo will reach out should she need our assistance. She has used a vessel of mine in the past so perhaps she is not adverse to help if required."
As for Miss Terallo being a political force, Judah was not as sure as his son.
"The High Republic Senate is ineffective in my eyes. It is my view Liin would quickly become bored having to navigate the cliques that litter their chambers. On the other hand, someone with savvy like Liin could easily push bills to benefit their home world through by appearing less like a threat and more interested in their constituents. Crabs in a bucket clawing their way for the next Chancellor position."
He paused and smiled.
"Which is perfect for business because they've been ignoring corporations. Makes my life easier."
