Okay so I am going to post a few ideas. Please note this doesn’t mean I want to do all of them. I’m not promising anything f. I just want to see if there is interest.
Overview
The Star Cabal is a secret society of influential conspirators with the purpose of limiting the Force users control from the galaxy and allowing the ‘ordinary people’ to rule. It is made up of members from every major society and species in the galaxy.
Originally the purpose of the Star Cabal was the preservation of civilization that had nearly been destroyed at the hands of the Jedi and Sith. The members of this secret organization believed that major Force religions were the source of most of the strife in the galaxy. Conservative members wished to put an end to the wars and suffering that ordinary citizens endured at the hands of Force users. To do this, the Star Cabal believed in restoring power to finance and technology, a power that could free the galaxy. Latter members of the secret society came to believe that there was no freedom so long as the Force users remained. Thus, these more radical members viewed that anyone that served either side of the Force was forever enslaved to a religious purpose. Some members even went as far too believe that the goal of the Cabal should be to destroy Force Sensitive orders because only this action would result in the galaxy being united under the common citizen who no longer had to be dragged into crusades and beg at temples. Though the ultimate goals of the members of this society are varied, they all have one goal in common and that is the service of ordinary people in the galaxy.
The Star Cabal believes that the real world operated not through religion or use of the Force but rather through information, money and technology. Their efforts include spy-counter spy work, torture, manipulating individuals and organizations, sabotage, hacking, orchestrating and influencing the media, smuggling, bounty hunting, helping businesses thrive, and many other things. The Star Cabal often hires mercenaries in the pursuit of its goals.
Recruitment and Training
The Star Cabal does not enlist coverts to their cause easily because they wish to remain hidden to the galaxy. Instead, most new members are included into their ranks as young children and raised to believe in the society’s goals. Those that do join latter in life are put through grueling trials of trust to make certain the societies mission remains a guarded secret.
Organization and Hierarchy
The Star Cabal is led by a mysterious figure known only as “The Prince.” Very few have ever met this person face to face, and those that have are still not certain who it is. When the Prince needs to address the members of the society it is usually done in secret messages and cloaked images.
To carry out the day to day operations the Prince enlisted a council of members to oversee operations. The Council is full of representatives who look after certain interests, such as smugglers, crime lords, business operations, financial considerations, political avenues etc.
The only thing I'm worried about is how would we incorporate force users? Most of chaos IS force users... so do we strictly not allow them or do we work with them some other way or?
