STANDARD FEATURES
The Intercessor-Class comes fully equipped with the whole standard array of shields, systems and components that are normally associated with vessels of this size and class.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
Both Hammer & Anvil: Intercessor-Class is exceedingly tough for a cruiser and is built to go toe-to-toe with much larger vessels should the need arise, possessing an inordinate amount of high power weapons all geared towards bringing the pain.
WEAKNESSES
Either Way A Heavy Object: Like many more heavy set cruisers, the Intercessor-Class isn’t built for speed or grace, but rather engaging other less agile vessels. Simply put, if you want a ship to win any races or turn on a credit, this really isn’t for the vessel for you.
DESCRIPTION
Few Star Destroyers could ever be accused of being subtle and the Intercessor-Class certainly makes no attempt to break that trend. It is quite simply built to be the heavy blunt object in any naval or planetary engagement, excelling at dishing out just as much punishment as it can take. And it can take a lot. That rectangular hull features some pretty heavy duty ablative armor components that can dramatically reduce the damage it receives during an all out slugfest, which is assuming, of course, those reinforced shield generators somehow fail to live up to their robust design specifications.
Unusually for a Star Destroyer, the Intercessor-Class does not feature turbolasers of any size or descriptor, and instead the comes fully armed with battery after battery of plasma and ion railguns. This is in addition to the assault and medium concussion missile launchers. As the vessel is also built to break sieges and subjugate planetary forces, those orbital autocannons should really come as no surprise to anyone. The capstone in the arsenal is without a doubt its central power crystal cannon, however, allowing it to effectively bore holes through deflector shields, thereby exposing a target to the full, considerable force it can bring to bear.
