Inspiration for Weaponry

Ok, so my character is ninja-inspired and as part of his weakness he is pretty much worthless with common weapons. He has to use an arsonol of exotic or odd weaoons--pretty much anything that isn't your standard blaster rifle, pistol, light saber, and such. He is also incompetent at heavy weaponry such as assault cannons, blaster cannons, E-web blasters, etc.

All that is to ask this question: anyone know of some exotic weapons that he could use that are off-the well-beaten path? I don't want to take something that is non-cannon here and like be somewhat God-modding, just things that are archaic, harkening back to long-lost days. Thanks for any input.

I have Xavka using slightly unconventional weapons based on ones from ancient china (Emeici, Throwing Needles, Nine-Section Chain Whip, Bos). If you want we could discuss this through PMs and, again if you want, even set up a few threads of Xavka passing on his skills in those weapons.

I've always liked the idea of hook swords, they're good for offense, as well as deflecting and redirecting enemy attacks.

Got some ideas. I haven't looked at your character bio yet but if you are a force user and get the training there is a lightwhip on thw wookipedia that is canon and an exotic weapon (I.e. it is a rarely used weapon needing extensive training to use.) I plan on doing a training thread for Amelia here to use one.
