InnoteQ

Corporation Name: InnoteQ
Headquarters: Hypori
Locations: Office on Hypori, Office on Bothawui
Operations: Provides technology-based products and services to government and commercial customers
Rationale: Raziel worked with Marek Starchaser to privatise some of Prototype Lab Q and other ASA scientific government groups as part of a raft of privatisation work in the sector.

Tier: Tier 2

Description: InnoteQ is a private spin-off from Prototype Lab Q, and several other ASA Defence Science and Technology Research Labs. As part of the restructuring in the wake of the Techno Union sponsored candidates gaining power in the ASA, Raziel took it upon himself to identify several areas that could be moved outside of Government control.

The ASA Government holds a 40% share in the company, Raziel used a number of aliases to gather 10% of the shares. The ASA Government will be looking to offload its holdings in the company in the next few years.

Prototype Lab Q and other government bodies hold a wide range of designs and technology that are no longer required, or have passed the point of being useful. However, a number of these innovations are ready for declassification and re-use in the commercial environment. Already they are working on a number of re-designs to release to the private sector. Some of these will be suitable for the private operative, including technologies previous used by elite special forces and Spynet operatives.

InnoteQ also provide two more key services to both private sector and industry. They carry out experimentation and test to provide assurance on technical options being pursued by bodies. This includes design reviews, simulations, and other work. The also provide security advice. This can involve testing of the security procedures and systems being used. They are available for both suppliers and customers to hire as part of a project.

With a workforce well-verse in military design and technical innovation, they are well placed to partner up with larger organisations to fulfil defence contracts. For example, they can team up with a large shipwright and work on the command and control systems, or bespoke sensor equipment.

They are reliant on being able to heavily recruit from the top universities in the sector, and one of the downsides is they need to offer large initial salaries to recruit the best and brightest into their relatively small workforce.
Often they will subcontract the large scale manufacture of items.
