Initiation

Location: Caamas
Appearance: link
Seraphim stood within the ruins of an ancient Jedi structure, once built deep within Caamas' jungles to serve as a Temple for a small Jedi Enclave. The memories she had of this place in its glory days remained vivid inside her mind, as were the memories of its final days. Now, it's nothing more than a reminder of the past, but she intended to make it a source of strength for the future.
For this reason, she had sent a heavily encrypted message to Kadan Scipora Kadan Scipora with coordinates leading him first to Caamas, and then to these hidden ruins. If he proved unable to decrypt her message, he wouldn't be fit for the job she sought to recruit him into. But if he were to find his way towards this ancient Jedi Enclave, she would truly be able to understand him and gauge whether or not this path was for him.
Until then, she waited patiently, drawing in calm breaths through the mask that heavily distorted her actual voice while she went through her usual meditation techniques. Normally, her presence in the Force would be heavily suppressed, to where she didn't feel Force-sensitive at all, but today required a different approach. Her presence in the light was a beacon to draw him in for this Initiation.

Clad in his robes, Kadan moved up the stairs, the hilt of his saber knocking against his hip along the way.
He was a man of history, and studying the old and forgotten ways of the jedi order, and yet standing among these ruins he was made aware of yet more secrets that evaded him. He frowned at the idea, but such was the way of things. His job would never truly be done.
Regardless, something or someone awaited him, and the jedi knight was all to aware that this could be trouble. He and Aayla both had skirted on the edge of being 'trouble makers' while they were mere padawans, but as skeptical as he was, he didn't believe this was related to their past antics. While in the past, such a temple would be the site of their adventures, they had both taken care to ensure no one aside from 4U knew about it; and that droid could keep a secret.
Kadan had given the droid a command if he wasn't to return, to send an encrypted message to Aayla, and to search her out. Of course, that was the worst case scenario. At current, he was following the presence that called to him through the force, and it wasn't long before he found it.
A long figure stood before the entrance to the temple, clad in dark armor, face concealed. It struck at a memory within Kadan's mind, that of Aayla, and their first actual mission together. Could have just been a coincidence. Tilting his head to the side, his hands came together at his front, lightly clasling together, though he mentally grasped his saber in case this little side mission took another turn. "Are you the messenger?" He asked calmly, and awaited the strangers response.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Knight Scipora."
Seraphim's distorted voice said as she turned to face the man. All around her plant life had begun reclaiming the inside of this old structure, while debris and markings of an ancient battle still lingered. The walls were covered in holes from blasters, cuts from lightsabers, and the rusted remains of battle droids were everywhere to be found.
But what stood out above all else was the haunting aura in the Force this place possessed. With how close Kadan was to everything, he'd feel it as well; the despair, pain, and death that once came to this place still echoes through the Force to this day. It left behind a cold, sickening feeling that easily sent shivers down the spine of anybody with a sense of empathy.
It was a truly awful place to be for a Jedi.
"Do you know where you are, and why you are here?" the woman then asked. She now stepped closer towards the man but if he were to trust his senses, he would feel no danger. No sign of malicious intent, no anger or darkness. It was a purely calm aura of Light, standing within a room shrouded in darkness.

The voice that spoke to him was an unknown, though Kadan remained unmoving. The history of this place, while unknown to him, had much in common with the one that stood before him. This place was tainted, and it reminded him of the Sarlacc pit that he and Aayla had stumbled into years ago. It was almost as if sickness had claimed this place, and was festering to the surface to attempt to plague those that came into contact with it.
He had felt worse however, his time in the engagements with the Maw and the Bryn had seen to that, and he stood un-phased by it all; though that did not mean he didn't feel uncomfortable standing here. The figure stepped towards him, and he closed his eyes to focus on the whispers of the force, and what they desired to speak to him. This one was a being that walked in the light, perhaps more pure than himself even. A light in the darkness, just like his Aayla. The thought made him smile faintly. "Where I stand is unknown to me, as to why I am here, it is to answer a question. One that I assume you left to me for a reason." He folded his hands into his robes, eyes focusing on the figure before him.
